Forget a Netflix special, I want to watch an hour of Dusty stuck at the back of a plane while other people deboard. Also, I find it hilarious that Brian, Aaron, and Dusty show up to Nate’s house to record the pod while Nate is not there. I don’t think I’ve ever been in somebody else’s house when they were not there.

  • @WitchyTrista
    @WitchyTrista 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

My dad had MS for 36 years before he passed. He was one of those people who used a wheelchair or scooter, but was able to walk a few steps from that to a regular chair.
And the reason those people are allowed another person to board with them, is so that they have help. Flight attendants are not there to do that sort of thing and the airline doesn't want to be held responsible if someone gets injured.

    • @veronicabloemeke2688

Also because regular wheelchairs don’t fit down the aisle. My dad couldn’t walk at all and they had to get a different chair for down the aisle. It took sooo long. Believe me, you’d rather have people walk a few steps if they can.

Alright for Aaron and Breaking Bad some good sports movies that you need to watch: Glory Road, Coach Carter, Breaking Away, Prefontaine, Warrior, and We are Marshall. Not to leave Dusty out, Blades of Glory and Cool Runnings. Keep up the good work.

Dusty was close, but I think it's more about physical technique. Brings pool and darts back under sports, but makes clear that chess and poker are not sports. It also makes room for golf and bowling.

I want to see Dusty here in Denver, at the newer Comedy Works in DTC. Maybe you’ve been here, but since we just moved back to Colorado, I’m re-requesting.

Listened to this earlier today and now going over movies I think you missed (forgive me if I missed anything through Dusty’s rapid firing):
    Longest Yard (2 versions)
    Wildcats
    Necessary Roughness
    North Dallas 40
    Brian’s Song
    All the Right Moves
    Johnny B Good
    12 Mighty Orphans
    Basketball:
    He Got Game
    Fast Break
    One on One
    Above the Rim
    Champions
    Hustle
    MMA:
    Warrior
    Baseball:
    42
    Bull Durham
    Bang the Drum Slowly
Not all of these are winners but there’s a lot of good ones.

My family and I have taken a beating these past couple of mouths with random sicknesses being passed around: pneumonia, covid, colds, and the stomach bug. Consequently, it’s been difficult to get back into the rhythm of normal life. This made me wonder - how often does sickness disrupt your ability to perform or affect you while you’re on the road? Do you ever need to knock down multiple shots of DayQuil just to get you through a set?

1:40:34 The Sandler movie called "Hustle," was a pretty good basketball movie. "White Men Can't Jump," is the best though.

Hustle is fantastic. The actual NBA players (Juancho Hernangomez and Anthony Edwards) were both great as the hero and the antagonist.

    Honorable mentions
I had so many honorable mentions to bring up to you guys and you came through in the clutch to bring them all up at the last moment! I couldn’t believe it took so long for The Waterboy and Over The Top to be mentioned!!! I did have a couple that was missed in my opinion, The Little Giants and Varsity Blues for football movies. The basketball movie, Blue Chips is still one of my all time favorite sports movies. I love the podcast and enjoy the “educational” aspects of each week’s topics! Keep up the great work!
    Fan for life,
    Trebor Barnes

YES thanks to Aaron for representing us Disney kids! Those movies were the best especially Double Teamed, Luck of the Irish, Motocross, etc. Also, my favorite sports movie is McFarland. You gotta watch it if you haven’t seen it! It’s unbelievable

Dusty has been on fire lately. He just keeps it real from silent consonants, airplane etiquette, and standing up for Major League being the best baseball movie.
He is so right on, I find myself rethinking so much of what I’ve been taught over my lifetime. Maybe Aaron isn’t the real genius on the show after all (although he’s great too).

Aaron's Disney Channel Original Movie call backs make me feel like we lived the same life growing up. He missed out on Luck of the Irish for basketball movies, but Double Teamed was such a great mention.

Not that y'all can relate, but I am pregnant and it is NOT fun! We flew Southwest for a baby moon to Charleston and my husband found out we could pre-board since I am pregnant, so I am sure Dusty would not approve but I am for sure taking advantage of this perk. We fly to Tulsa next week for a concert and my husband surprised me with tickets to Nate's show too!
