    Got this last night and had so much fun jamming with it. So clever. And I totally did not even realize there were the buttons on the right side for changing the chords. Bonus!

    1) A diminished third IS a third. 2) c - d# is not a “diminished third” , neither a minor third, but a augmented second.

  • @blitbleep
    @blitbleep 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    A little correction: pitch +3 is not a third, its just 3 semitones up. In the case of C, its going to be d#, which would be a diminished third. Same as +5, which would be the fourth.

      Attention. You are wrong. 1) A diminished third IS a third. 2) c - d# is not a “diminished third” neither a minor third, but a augmented second

    Doug, Just wondering. Do you know how or if Ipad apps like this can somehow be configured to act as a midi controllers for larger desktop production suites such as Logic Pro, Ableton, Reason. I'd love to be able to record things like this as midi composition data.
    Alexander Randon seems like a really bright guy. Pretty sure Logic Pro X users would buy Fugue Machine and his other apps as an AU plug-ins. I know I would

      Yes there are ways, the best thing to do is put this into a You Tube search, The Sound Test Room US, that will take to one of our other channels that's made by Colin Swinney, he deals with all that midi/computer link stuff, you will find a coupe of really useful demos there

    Hello. I've only just found this very cool app. I'm having an issue trying to control other synth apps. It works when I have Animoog open but when I go back to Fugue the Animoog sound cuts out. I have Animoog selected in the Midi out of Fugue. I've tried everything (i think). Anyone have any idea? Is it a bug?

      Hi have you got Background Audio set to ON in Animoog

    I bought it. Seems it has only one disadvantage: playheads are not quantized to the beats.

    • @alexandernaut
      @alexandernaut 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +portwain Just to be clear, playheads are definitely quantized! Quantized to Eighth notes. And changes happen on touch-up. So try holding the play button down for a while, then lifting just before you want it to catch. Also make sure you're not getting confused by other playheads being in triplet or dotted timings.

    • @portwain
      @portwain 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      alexandernaut Thanks, I will try. But I think that function "play at next bar/beat" would be helpful. Another tip for the future: it will be awesome to have "End" for the playheads as well. Probably you already thought about it

    • @alexandernaut
      @alexandernaut 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +portwain For sure. I'll be opening up Quantization settings in an upcoming update. I've actually already done all the work, just need to expose the setting. And an END value per playhead... yes :]

    Too complicated. Give me an acoustic instrument any day. I have to admit, it does sound really cool. The learning curve for older folks is irritatingly long. Lucky youth.

  • @Freakoutski

    I was completely sold by this demonstration until I saw what the author has decided to price it at. 8 quid? Ouch!

    • @slakk5093
      @slakk5093 9 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      +Freakoutski yeah 8 quid!! insane price.. may as well just buy a whole studio at that price. app devs these day, being all innovative and making cool stuff then expecting to get paid for their effort. what bastards.
