This app has come so far since its release. Rob has been incredible with implementing new ideas. I love using this app as ambient sounds while I'm reading on my iPad. Perfect background sounds.
Thanks that's a nice thing to say, and your getting into it at the right time, there are some amazing apps already and many more on the way, like the new Beat Maker 3 out on the 15th July
I have this but have not had a great deal of time to play around with it yet. But just from what I have done I know you can get some really cool stuff out of it. And the auto play button is surprisingly nice as well.
The AutoPlay button is brilliant if your just browsing stuff or in my case making a post for the site, just stick your cans on and launch Moodscaper and hit Auto
Hello. Great demo. When I play a bass line, on the right hand side, sometimes the left hand side activates. If I don’t want that to happen is there a way to turn that off?
Thanks so much for doing this Doug - love your demos! :-) And you can indeed load your own samples. It is via iTunes at the moment I'm afraid, but I will be looking at easier / iPad methods hopefully soon. Right now, you can download samples of "massive mellow modular", "ambient electric guitar", from the website (full instructions in the PDF manual also on the website), and almost as we speak, I'm putting together some samples for "extraordinary orchestra" which is sounding, um... quite extraordinary :-) Thanks, and all the best, -Rob
Like to say what a brilliant app. I have been looking for a good ambient app for a long time and I think I finally found it. Doug rarely demos an app twice but I see why he did with this particular app. I do not use the auto mode I strictly make music (ALSO SO I CAN PUT MY WIFE TO SLEEP AND GET HER OFF MY BACK)! Good work. I hope to see updates in the future. Thanks to you and Doug.
Issie wizzie @moodscaper just got this beautiful and minimalists app, and YES IM IN LOVE but this is the comment of the century!...and these two features are desperately needed. Please consider this dev? Thank you
Great insight into very cool gear. Thanks for the reviews and demo. For this app, can I use an external keyboard or am I limited to the squares in the app?
this looks really good and cool and good.Another great demo of an app - Thanks for doing this. How would you record what you have made ? eg if you wanted to use it as background music for a film slideshow in windows movie maker ?Thanks
Thanks for your reply. I don't know what an AUM is and I don't have cubasis or have any idea how that works. I am a beginner!!!! Thanks for your help anyway - and your cool reviews - always well worth watching. This app looks good and if I could easily record would be good backing for slide show DVD's of photo's etc.
Hi David, to add to what Doug said (thanks Doug!) you can also message me via moodscaper.com - I'll help as best I can also. I'm not as clever as The Sound Test Room guys though, but I'll do my best :-)
+David Chandler AUM is a like a Mixer for all your Apps, but you don't need that if you just want to record your Moodscaper stuff, do you have an app called Audioshare? Also have a watch if this video it will make it more clear what AUM can do, let me know if you need anything else, we are here to help🤓 th-cam.com/video/HDw9CjFhYlw/w-d-xo.html
Sorry if I missed it, but how do you select the key -- say I have a song in Bb and want an intro using this app?? And of course Major Lift and Minor Fall. Sounds great, but I want to know what I am playing for practicality. Thanks for the video.
Hi, at the moment you cant change the keys they are set differently for each of the four "Moods" there is a link to the excellent website were you will find the PDF Manual which explains everything very clearly. But here are the set chords for each "Mood" Light: E - F#m - A - B - C#m•Dark: Em - F - A - Bm - Dm•Space: Em - G - Am - C - D•Sad: Em - G - A - Bm - D
Key and scale select will be provided for MIDI out support in a forthcoming v2.0 (free update). As the current version is sample-based and not chromatic, the keys and scales are predefined I'm afraid. However, you can load your own samples and on a couple of occasions, I've helped folks create specific sounds in certain keys. Details on how to do that are in the PDF manual available on the website.
Hi there, does anybody know an ios Synth to create those beautiful sounds or which have some sounds like that as a preset? Just because I would love to be able to play with it on a midi-keyboard and create my own chords and stuff like that.
Can you save your jams? Does it have MIDI? What Apps / DAWs (or DAW alikes) is _Moodscaper_ compatible with? - By the way, nice jam - Pete Namlook would be proud! :)
purchased this and didn’t have a clue what I was doing but this has helped a lot thanks!
Glad I could help!
It's like magic coming from your finger tips. MoodScaper is actually quite versatile and ones imagination is the only limitation.
Dude, I was just playing with the demo version earlier. And also when I clicked the full version it’s only 1$. 👍
Just bought this also. Great demo!
This is simply such an awesome music app! It's mesmerizing!!

I love this app. Beautiful.
Just getting into IPad music Apps. I'm quite overwhelmed at the moment just watching your demo videos.
Thanks that's a nice thing to say, and your getting into it at the right time, there are some amazing apps already and many more on the way, like the new Beat Maker 3 out on the 15th July
Thank you! I'm trying to take it all in.
Thanks for the video, this is exactly the kind of app I've been looking for.
amazing!!!!! i wish there was an easier way to download new sounds....hopefully next update. Or a settings button :)
Just got this - seems like it's a great app.
This amazing app works perfectly on my iPhone 5s!!
Can't wait for AU, midi and AudioShare, Audiobus would rock too oh and LINK but AU first 😀

yea I have just hit auto play and laid back and listened for awhile haha.

Maravillosos sonidos... Gracias.
Sounds like something you hear from tomorrow land at Disneyland (either the main plaza music or in line at space mountain.)

Just waiting on midi and ability to load samples or save from and to Dropbox or iCloud.

Tom Wilcox not sure if you saw my previous comment because I replied to other poster..
Thanks
A must have, for me anyway.
Wow…uh, yeah…wow. Reefer is legal now in my state, but who needs it with doug on moonscraper?
Did I just say moon scraper? Just had a Floyd moment, sorry…and long live Richard Wright.

It's also an Inter App Audio instrument so you can easily open in AUM and route it to Cubasis, if you need anymore info just ask

Nice so this is a stand alone app? I mean cannot be combined thru Audiobus?
You definitely need to check out Touchscaper by the same developer, it’s much more powerful
Hi there, does anybody know an ios Synth to create those beautiful sounds or which have some sounds like that as a preset? Just because I would love to be able to play with it on a midi-keyboard and create my own chords and stuff like that.
Will this be available for pc or is this strictly a I Pad program?
Wunnerful stuff. I was Liza Goddarding the heck out of that!
Can you save your jams?
Does it have MIDI?

Hi, no midi and you can’t save you jams, but you can record the audio via Audiobus
Great, that'll do the job :)
Thanks fella
Is there a way to change the key of the sounds?
No unfortunately not, this was basically designed to run in the background as a relaxation tool
It’s nice, but so limiting , I suppose that serious composition isn’t the purpose of this app, but those sounds are gorgeous…
If you want all the control you need to check out Touchscaper
