I really liked your drawing, the way it way laid out before you even started filling in the paints. Really well captured...that sunrise wow what magnificent colours you had to paint with, colours captured by you as you turned all that into a great painting.
A perfect example of the difficulties of plein air paintings...the lighting changes dramatically by the minute! Despite the change, the artist did a fabulous job! Well done!
Wow, that was amazing seeing it come to life before my eyes. Yes, you have definitely captured the amazing sunrise in your painting. Well done, can't wait to see more!
I loved the video. It all came together around the 2:00 mark. I think because of adding the dark tone to the water. I like how you lay out your paint . Great job.
I like how you blocked in the darks first, and also captured the sky with the pinks and oranges, before the sun came up. Then all you have to do is add another layer for the highlights and a few more dark accents.
Hi Anna, thank you very much! the colours are: titanium white, warm white, Naples yellow light and regular, lemon yellow, cad yellow, yellow ochre, scarlet red, permanent rose, cerulean, cobalt, ultramarine, burnt Sienna & Raw umber. I have done many videos with commentary which explains my colour mixing on my channel - have a look. Hope this helps! Best wishes, Clare
Great job! I am enjoying your videos. Love when you talk about your process. I would have liked to see some video of the scene as I would have liked to paint it. Maybe in the future you can film the scene for us. Just a suggestion.
Hi Nelida, great suggestion thank you! I did post this painting on my Instagram account - clarebowenartist and there was the photo on there to paint. You’ll need to scroll down my feed to find it. Happy painting!
Why did you change the thin horizontal lines of the sea, they had so much power an energy for the composition. Also pumping up the saturation would have increased the impact. The scene was great and the painting has to be even greater. You didn't manage that unfortunately. Your foreground and background are competing for dominance. One should take control. Apart from that, great!
You picked the color of the sky very accurately that's very good I like it
Glad you think so Fatima, thank you!🎨👩🏻🎨❤️
Loved this time lapse. Thanks for sharing!
Happy to share Joanne, thank you❤️

Thanks Charlie, so true, sunrises are challenging because they change so quickly!
Really fantastic light and painting - great music too. What is not to like?!
Yes, thank you Mr B - a great camera man too! x
Very nice. Laughed at all the background activity, especially the surf boarder who appeared to fall and flop around like a beached seal. 1:20
Thank you. It make me want to watch it again to spot the surfer flop around!! 😁

@@ClareBowenArtist how do you colour match outdoors? Your colours were spot on. I’m fine in the studio, but outside struggling like crazy

May I ask how long it took?
Sure about 90 mins :-)
