- The process and story of my recent painting "A Never-ending Cycle" - This painting is a brief window into the cycle of life. The ways in which the Yellowstone ecosystem can demonstrate this cycle is nearly unlimited and seemingly restricted only by the limits of our imagination. I cherish places like these because in the most elegant way they show their raw truths, unfiltered and always at face value. This is why areas like #Yellowstone I believe are at the heart of what makes our world's most wild places so special.
This painting was created on canvas board, 30x40" with oil paint.

I grew up in Montana and spent lots of time in Yellowstone as a kid..thank you for bringing it to canvas with the level of realism that you did…very hard to handless and capture and you did it beautifully ❤️

The music, the painting, and the look of the scene give me a strange feeling, and I kept imagining a whole life with the painting
Anybody given enough time can paint a landscape but very few can paint an emotion.
Your painting is to regulaar paintings what a Haiku on a certain topic is to an essay on the same topic.
In 300 pages anybody can describe something perfectly but it still might lack the essential, but capturing it in three lines and 17 syllables is something else.
This is extremely impressive. You work is extremely impressive.
Gorgeous! We were in the Grand Teton National Park last month and Gros Verde; about 20 miles south of Yellowstone. We didn't make it up there but we had our adventure one night after making smores. Either a pack of wolves or coyotes made their calls to the full moon. We weren't sure but their voices sounded too high to be wolves. Left us jittery to walk back to our trailer for the night. There was some smoke in the air so the moon didn't light up our path as we'd hoped. We were all having so much fun reminiscing that the night came quick. Wished I had a flash light. I couldn't believe we'd slipped up on that one but the guy were able to see better and got me pointed in the right direction and we all made it to camp just fine. Things like that remind you you're in the wilds. Glad for the paintings you shared and that you were able to paint outdoors as well. I miss watching you do that and your hikes.

I just made a visit to your Instagram site!! Ohhhhh my goodness ! Such inspiration there !! If someone is having some painters block ..... that is the place to go. I am always inspired when I watch your videos and look at the reference photos ....Working on one from the big horn sheep packet of reference photos. Probably at least 2-3 more sittings. Great painting! After 7 years overseas, my family and I are back home in Montana. I know where you are coming from as I have traversed the Montana and Yellowstone wilderness for years as I was a wildlife photographer back in the day. Now I paint and love every minute of it. Our paths may cross as I reside outside Ennis. When they do, I will be sure to say howdy.

Thank you! I'm always painting, but I gotta admit it is hard to produce videos and stay focused on my creativity. I had to step back from lives as after more of them it started to bring my creative flow down. I might again, but focusing on my art for the moment. I still release long format videos to the memberships though. Appreciate your support!!
@@chuckblackart I would have to agree with you! The main reason I have yet to post a video on TH-cam, is because it takes time from the art. Although, I liked your thoughts on how doing live didn’t need editing and such. But I can also imagine that while in the moment of painting, having to answer questions all the time would break the mood. So I do understand. I just got use to seeing you paint. It’s very uplifting to me, even though my style is very different, you still inspire me to paint more! ❤️❤️
