+EDGEMOTORS I have an oil leak coming from the left (driver) side under the intake manifold. I've been told that it is probably either the valley pan or the oil filter to block gasket. So I have new gaskets for both along with new valve cover gaskets, oil pressure switch, intake manifold gaskets and oil cooler gasket. I'm doing a brake fluid flush, coolant flush and oil change while I'm in there and also installing a new drive belt and spark plugs. ( already changed the power steering fluid with chf11s) I just got the car and I'm a firm believer in going through the engine and knowing when stuff was done and that it was done right and changing everything while I'm already in there. Is there any thing else you would recommend while I'm In there? it has 92000 miles with no timing chain noise
Make sure you replace the valve cover bolts, they come with grommets, if the grommets not replaced, the covers will be leaking, also make sure to replace the belt tensioner and idler, use only original belt and rollers.
+EDGEMOTORS I did you service last night, except for the valve covers. I have the grommets but not the new bolts. I changed the belt with a gates racing Kevlar belt. not oem but it was what was available (was twice the cost of oem too) I will be ordering the tensioner and idler soon. thanks!!
Thank you for awesome video, AGAIN! Audi A6 C6 with Curve... My high beam on one side is not working. I noticde one broken tab on cover. Does the body computer activate the High beam flapper? I'm thinking either a wire issue, or solenoid, etc. The Bentley manual isn't helpful. Does the ballast or 'stage' module activate the solenoid?
Hi . Love the video. Do you suggest disconnecting the battery cable to avoid getting zapped?? I understand that they cary very high voltage. Also want to make sure not to loose any important settings if disconnecting the battery. The one on the passenger side has become very dim and almost orange or pink. I guess it does not make a difference since I am in the US and our cars are LH drive. Thanks so much.

i have a2010 audi a6 3.0 supercharge first my drivers side light would go out then comeback on and it would flicker now both headlights will go out and come right back on what would that be? when its colder its not as frequent
I just realized i have a burned ignitor with model 1 307 329 076 that came with vehicle 2007 GTI . Will 5DD 008 319-50 ignitor work for my light. My question is are the compatible with each other. Interchangable? Thank you

My right head light turn on and off, its only the main light, the other day running light works fine its the main plus high beam, dealer told me I need a new headlight which will cost over a 1000 since its has curve lighging. Could the problem possibly be the balast thats the problem?

I have two of Audi A6 C6 05, 06 . 3.2 and 4.2. fixing is nightmare :(( and 3.2 need chain replacement.. and top portion is good. seems I need to take engine out. .. its so much F**ng work. and I don't have big garage to do it. I have called few places they told price is about 8-10k to do it. even tho this car cost is like 3k max. ahha what a joke :((((.... and just to get all part to do the work I guess its about 1.5k at least. crap. Any suggestions? and what is fair price to do this work? just curious?!... by the way I know your native language is not eng. if not a secret where you froM? I'm rus/ukr. from USA.

So, i have to take apart the engine compartment to change one headlight bulb ... got it! if you are astute enough to own an Audi, you can afford to have your dealer change the bulb...

How to diagnose if balast or ignitor is faulty without replacing them? i put new d3s on its not working

No the delay bulb is different and you can access it from the bottom of the headlight.

Does ballast failure also stop LED daylight running lights working? on my 09' A6, main beam is OK, but LED not working.
Ballast only lights up the main beam.
what bulb have you used? d2s or d3s ??
This one takes d2s. D2s and d3s are not compatible. They look the same but not interchangeable... the d3s has a different color plug.

For 4.2 we charge around 5k parts and labor for all original parts, the 3.2is less have to have your vin to check.

It is not as bad as it looks like. It takes me like 20 minutes to change both sides without rushing on 3.0TDI variant
