Your the only man who shows how to pull the daylight bulb. I’ve been turning and turning but by the looks of it you just pull it straight out, thank you.
Thank you. My passenger side buld died coming home from work this morning. I had a look in the hand book and it's the usual refer to dealer (Stealer) job. I changed it (H7) with the help of your video. My engine bay was slightly different as it's a 2.7 TDi so there are a couple of extra bits in the way. I actually spent more time driving to the local car shop to get some bulbs. Job done, happy subscriber.
Thanks SO much. I just replaced my headlight bulbs following your instructions. Having bought the bulbs online and done the work myself I've saved over £400 on the quote the garage gave me! Thanks again!!!
Thank you for this post. My Audi A6 2007 3.2 with Xeon lamps was slightly different, but relocating the power steering cup was key to accessing the headlight door. I actually had to push it DOWN, closer to the motor as it could not be moved aside as you show. The DRL (daytime running light) is just a standard bulb even when the main headlights are Xeon. Cheers!
Thank you very much, I have been driving around with one light for at least two weeks and tomorrow i am definitely tackling this, you make it look easy. This is one thing i can avoid taking to the dealer.
Great video, very clearly explained. I don't my Audi to a dealership because of their charges, but even my local garage would have cost a few quid to do this, as it was £10 for the bulb from Halfords. You're a star, thank you!!
+Neil Russell-Bates You can save on bulbs, too. Last week I bought pack of 10 x H7 bulbs (dipped beam) for 6.88. Whole pack is cheaper that single bulb from Halfords :)
A great reference as always, last time I followed your MMI instructions and saved a fortune, this time just a daylight running light, but still agreat help. Thanks so much.
the video is very excellent for changing car lights, although there is someone who breaks the front of the car so that he can change the lights Thank you very much for the clarification Greetings to you from Libya
Excellent guide and thanks. the 2.7 A6 has a large hose in the way of the steering fluid reservoir, a right angle ratchet on the T30 lets you in. Thanks!!
It's my own fault for not checking my car first. Checked about 5 websites because I was unsure because I know they make factory led lights etc so I was trying to make sure I got the right one of the standard lamps
Thank you so much for this video, I was able to change my drivers side dipped light in under 10 minutes. Initially I thought this job was going to be a misery and able complete the job without having to remove the bottom half of the air filter housing but did have to losen is from its rubber plugs.
Really good video, thank you! I run into a little problem and the retainer clip for the bulb has come out and I am not sure where to lock it in place so I can put it back. I can’t seem to find a schematic how it all goes back. Any ideas? 😅 Thanks in advance
nice video and sure helped me concerning removing air filter and all...I need to replace my daylight bulbs on mine (bi xenon headlights but location is the same I think) but I could only slightly grip it between my index and middle finger but didn't manage to pull it out...very frustrating...any tips or thoughts on that subject?
+GewoonWouter Hi, also need to replace my daylight bulb. Any tips or maybe problems you encountered? Also, do you happen to remember the bulb type? Thank you.
RoHunter well RoHunter, lots of patience is needed...you will get some cuts on your hands :D it's basically the same as the non xenon ones, like in the vid, on one side you need to remove the airfilter, and on the other side the servo thingy. After that I just kept on trying and used some pliers...with your hands alone is hard because you can't reach for them properly. It's the W5W type indeed. I replaced them by blue ones because that looks better with the xenons...I've got a link here to show you the correct lamps: www.audiwereld.nl/exterieur-design/verlichting/verlichting-voorzijde/gp-thunder-w5w-t10-xenonlook-stadslicht.html?___store=gb&___from_store=nl Hope this helps a bit

Can't get my hands in front of the air filter box, you don't show air filter box removal there is a 13 mm bolt which is removed (unless there is another method) but the bracket remains in place stopping airbox movement, if you could've shown the complete airbox removal rather than before and after it would be more useful. Getting the hose off the airbox is also a lot of effort. Good video but needs more detail at the beginning.
Removing top of the air filter box should be enough, I have removed the rest just to fit the camera for better view. If you still need to remove whole lot, as far as I remember it should sit on 2 rubber clips, if I remember it correctly.... sorry I don't have that car for about 7 years
+WheelsAndMotors i do understand but do you know if I'd have to take front bumber off to get to the reservoir or taking wheel off would be enough to get there from under the wheel arch?
+Karol Ciezkiewicz Apparently, washer pump sits on washer fluid reservoir. To get there, you need to remove front left wheel and inside protection layer (liner inside wheel arch). Then it should be pretty easy - disconnect electric plug, release clip that holds the motor and take ot out. Washer fluid will leak when you take pump out, so be careful :) Hope ot helps.

I don't have that car for about 5 years.. I know that way you can reach turn signals, didn't try to reach rest of bulbs, and I can't try it now. If it works, it's a very good advise, thanks 👍

+WheelsAndMotors I live in Sweden and the work was the main cost, the two bulbs were also £100 each!
Thanks again!
