Fun Fact: Spectacled Bears are the only living members of the Tremarctinae bear family. This group also includes the now extinct Short-Faced bears (Arctodus simus and Arctotherium angustidens)
I watched a documentary about bears and a species in particular caught my attention... The speckled bear. A group found a few and one if the bears they named her Laura... Laura died in this documentary and it broke my heart...
You should try studying humans not caught up yet in industrial society. Human hatred is very dominant while industry destroys. Check North Sentinel Island. ;)
I am Infatuated with wild life Especially bears and I pray we change how we do things and we help our wild life live ... we have to help all species of the animal kingdom live...
Estimates say hundreds of species a day are wiped out and faster all the time. I worked hard to save some and they died. The reason is industrial society and we cannot step outside of it. It will destroy our species too. There was very little extinction before. I hope you can do whatever possible for the bears you care about and wish you luck. They deserve your help as everything ends and you will have a worthy life for helping.
When humans move into these animal habitats we are taking from the animal wild life that already lives and breathes in these areas.. when we hunt we take away from there hunting grounds.. same as taking there fish and fruits that they depend on. We need to Replant, regrow, help the salmon flow, help mother earth replenish
And Africa does have bears...they're just smaller: they're called 'honey badgers'. Ornery little things they are. And don't respond that honey badgers are in the weasel family, because I'm just-not-tryin to hear that. They're little ornery bears from Africa!
Us as humans need to respect the natural animal habitat and help it thrive.. Animals depend on there habitats to provide them with food and water and shelter. And when we humans take away there natural resources we help kill there species...

Why hasn't there been a clear censiment of bears' population? I get it is difficult due to their habitat but still
