Normally small anecdotes and experiences are expanded into broad statements about the meaning of life and such. Artosis on the other hand... starts with the meaning of life's grand narrative, and immediately boils it down to Starcraft.
The Protoss PvT commandments: "Thou shalt not chase Vulture runbys with your entire army of Dragoons" "Thou shalt not delay Zealot Legs" "Thou shalt not let your Reavers get instantly picked off by Siege Tanks"
thou shalt follow a recall with another recall thou shalt lead with the shuttle containing zealots thou shalt withdraw thyne dragoons when your zealots have died in battle
"Thou shall infinite make ground units to the meat grinder" "Thou shall only make carriers as a first or last resort, neither make supporting scouts or carriers, either no air or all carriers!"
As someone who started watching ArtosisCasts, and SC1 in general, during CNSL Season 7 these player series that have become more common have been helpful. To the laymen like me, a lot of the Nuance between players is a lot easier to see when we get multiple games over a couple of days. It's been fun getting to get to know some of the personalities of this world a bit better.
I thought Rush was overpushing when he lost that first tank, but his game plan was to keep the unit count low enough to enable the vultures to delay or punish the third base. Then the vulture pressure delayed Paralyze long enough that his investment into a third base had not paid off yet by the time the proper tank push hit him. Paralyze just had a bunch of gates without tech and not that many units. Rush also specifically focussed on that third base choke where tanks are so powerful. Great game plan.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how valuable and effective 'Repair Crew' Micro is for Terran Mech Pushes? Every Mech push should have 2-4 SCVs with them. Rush saved 6 tanks by bringing two SCVs. If he had brought just 2 Gols, those shuttles would have been near worthless.
I looooove Rush and his timing attacks, he often strikes before opponent has next tech needed for defence, same with games vs. zerg, which I would love to see as well. Thanks Dan!
Love your analysis, added context, and history SirTosis. I watch your videos almost daily. Played BW in HS, a bit in college, and haven’t touched it since, but I’m here for the chills. You and tasteless are the main reason why I still love BW and SC2.
The pure terran aggression from Rush kept Paralyze off balance enough to get the win. Going to be interesting to see how viable that third protoss base on this map will be in the future, especially if they're not cross spawn.
This felt so close at many points. Just a few more goons saved could have gotten him snowballing to victory. Instead defeat. Keep some more Paralyze coming, he is close 💪
I absolutely agree artosis! This then that does apply quite heavily to StarCraft I believe. So that makes me wonder the question would it be a more sound investment if you see factory explosion you would wanna get zealot legs and 12 to 24 zealots instead of reaver shuttle speed. I think that was one error paralyze had he assumed he had control and flow of the game when he did not so instead of being defensive he was planning on an offensive attack that requires the Protoss player to be ahead of the Terran player and that just simply wasn’t the case with how much damage rush did to his dragoons and Protoss failure to even slow the push of Terran alittle bit. i think the answer in almost any situation if your behind as Protoss is gateway man and expand cause fast zealots are absolutely needed to break tanks
We rag a lot about Artosis not spending his money during his games but even top professionals do the same thing. Starcraft really isnt about playing the perfect game but the game who makes the fewest mistakes. Its so hard to balance both macro and micro at the same time.
Yea i feel like if ur still watching StarCraft in 2025, ur prob interested enough to hear some in-depth breakdowns and analysis. Great stuff as usual Arty!
Thanks Artosis good cast, yes watched to the end. The end is where the interesting parts come as a viewer. After watching a bunch of esports Broodwar is the only one that consistently it interesting to watch, highly readable, and has great casters. I've watched from Gom days and earlier. Maybe it helps I played at launch. Zerg with guardians was great before Broodwar gave Goliaths crazy range. Keep playing and casting as long as it makes sense for you I'll keep watching thanks you and tasteless for the years of content.

This comment is giving me some chills right now
That's not exactly backwards lol

I love seeing Terrans bring SCVs to fights to repair. It always seems so underutilized but it's like having medics for your tanks
Always bring scv when you attack
I wish you could Repair-Move them.

Artosis on the other hand... starts with the meaning of life's grand narrative, and immediately boils it down to Starcraft.
Excellent match, this was a very good one, insane precision from Rush
I love Artosis sharing his life wisdom while gaslighting protoss

Terran: *does an amazing push*
Me: *gets chills*
Arty: *coughs*
Me: *gets even bigger chills*

Tosis we always watch the entire cast till the end!!
Glorious push, love watching aggressive Terran games.
you don't need goliaths if your opponent consistently loses his reavers for free
Artosis had chills so strong that he caught a cold
no wonder he has a cold all the time when he is getting all these Chills
Reaver's in this game popping like popcorn

Geez he made it look so easy. I think the push would have never looked so smooth without the damage from the vulture pressure.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how valuable and effective 'Repair Crew' Micro is for Terran Mech Pushes?

if he brings gols the push gets delayed by 2 minutes
'the game is still changing a little bit'
Is still wild to hear about this ancient game
being inefficient to be more efficient later because you're human is essential to being truly great at anything that you can optimize
I sub to a bunch of channels. ArtosisCasts is the only one where I’ve hit LIKE to EVERY SINGLE VIDEO
I like how Artosis has to let me go like im on the phone with my mother.
Its really cool that you have ladder experience against guys like paralyze
i love hearing about cerebral concepts in a 25 year old game so you can bet your ass i'm watching all the way through
I've always wondered why more players don't bring a few workers to act as healers during a push
Certified Not Safe for Protoss game
I like all your analysis, thx!
i made it that far
always stay til the end
As some famous author once said, "Heaven and Hell are both retroactive."
This one timing at Starcraft camp...
The chills are _so_ strong they're invading the caster.
I made it that far
Alternatively titled, "What they didn't teach you in math class!"
ooooof that was a rough game for the Reavers...
Thanks for the cast! Clarification = chillification
I looooove Rush and his timing attacks, he often strikes before opponent has next tech needed for defence, same with games vs. zerg, which I would love to see as well. Thanks Dan!
That was a pretty chill game, I liked it.
Always appreciate going in depth, thanks!
Username checks out for Rush.
6:44, he traded at least 3 Vultures for that one Dragoon.
You've started literally teaching us at the end. Thanks!
That push was SO cool
Paralyze really paralyzed those two Reavers during the push. In total, four Reavers lost without his opponent even trying.
Artosis=Starcraft Master’s Class
it's funny to me that we've gone full circle and we're back to Fake Double being a good early pressure and yes I understand the differences
rush is a master of his craft

You don't have to apologize for giving extra insight into gamer's process hehe.. the 'if this then that' tip was really nice
I made it this far, so i guess i gotta comment on how dope the game was :)
I love terran games the most.
Very dominating display!
Shuttles dropping probes on tanks, love it
We made it this far!! 😂😂
Wow, what a shallacking. Like a total overpowering of Paralyze's gameplan. Great play-by-play, Artosis!
The pure terran aggression from Rush kept Paralyze off balance enough to get the win. Going to be interesting to see how viable that third protoss base on this map will be in the future, especially if they're not cross spawn.
That tank control was NUTS!
i always make it this far!
I was hoping to watch Flash again, but Rush is still good
Speed would be best, but high level T is still a great dish.
@@tellumyortagreed!
The less flash glazing we get the better
This felt so close at many points. Just a few more goons saved could have gotten him snowballing to victory. Instead defeat. Keep some more Paralyze coming, he is close 💪
This is the new future to dealing with greedy toss players aswell as early goon range bunker attacks
It seemed quite tight for the terran side pushing with those tanks.
this game was eeaasss. slow zealots, no air, no counter
Are you guys not entertained at 12:36? An super aggressive and destructive rush from Rush
I absolutely agree artosis! This then that does apply quite heavily to StarCraft I believe. Player GGs...1/3 of the video still left, chills.
I think the loss also had to do with Paralyze losing the first 2 reavers
Time for more batteries and less bunkers.
Huge difference of skill between those 2 players.
paralyze lost too many reavers this game to be able to hold
very nice attack by rush
Isn't that the classic Terran experience? - Need more time for micro
This is how every single PvT looks of mine..
Days gone without Flash being mentioned: 0
We rag a lot about Artosis not spending his money during his games but even top professionals do the same thing. Starcraft really isnt about playing the perfect game but the game who makes the fewest mistakes. Its so hard to balance both macro and micro at the same time.
This one timing at band camp
That was impressive.
I always watch the whole thing, dude
I like artosis' vibes and the end of vids where he goes 4 dimensional
I have setup a automated if then statement, if I see a Artosis video, I click, no matter what.
can you really zoom out the map like he did in game?
No
Only in the replays can you zoom out like that, sadly
What a difference it makes not to have Zealot legs. Rush's push would have failed badly if those were speed 'lots.
Does it make sense to add the fourth and fifth factory at the back of your base so it might not be scouted by the obs?
Didn't boisterously say "hey guys" at the beginning, wtf
Yea i feel like if ur still watching StarCraft in 2025, ur prob interested enough to hear some in-depth breakdowns and analysis. Great stuff as usual Arty!
Artosis dropping wisdom on us 🙏
wow that was a cool game! great to see terran manhandle protoss!
Of course we made it 😂
I love it when you go deep.
Tank push = strongest push in the game.
Is 2 factory goliath + bio a common thing in TvZ? I saw flash do that on 2 base vs queen. I haven't seen it before.
Special tactics, but for Terran.
Of course we make it till the end, what are you thinking? XD We watch everything you put out until the very end!
I did make it that far
Thanks Artosis good cast, yes watched to the end. The end is where the interesting parts come as a viewer. wow a terran win by showing great skill (aka, the protoss stupidly losing the reaver after it does a single shot when there is ZERO anti air)
I always make it to the end old friend
that was so sick
So thats the no hey day eh
Hey guys, welcome back to you know how they say like the steps of your life
Oh you know I made it till the end 👍🏻
Great push. Almost as good as mine while I'm on shitter.
I think reaver micro suffered a bit this game, a bit better micro holds the push?
I made it this far.
Thanks!
