I have several french machines as well. They've given me all kinds of problems. French bikes often have french threading on the bottom bracket. Keep track of your cups. French machines have always given me problems. Very nice rendering on this bike.

Great job as always! I'm ready for another rat rod build. I always enjoy you creating those as I enjoy creating them as well.

The green bike, when I wrap the handle bars. I start at the top, then end at the bottom & then put the end of the wrap in the opening of the bar, install cap. Nice bike!

Thanks! I really had no plans to keep the bike long term but it fits me good and rides pretty nice.

I think you did an amazing job. I'm glad you went with the pedals you went with give it a better look. The green and white gives it a classic look. Very Nice!🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

Thanks Timothy. Yeah I agree on the pedals. Even though I love color, the pedals I went with look a little classier which I like in this case.

Yup - any French bike of that era is going to have the BB threaded the other way. Wasn't until some time in the 80s that they finally started using English standard. I do believe you are always supposed to use new wedges with cottered cranks( I hate cottered cranks!). Great vid - enjoyed the transformation!

Great job! It might be easier to start the tape at the top and work your way down to the bar end.

I am trying to do the same thing (same ish model, 100% same chain ring and fork). How did you get the fork and front chain rings out? I can't figure out how to have the stem come out.
