Note that they didn't pop his bubble tear, so he was still at about 1/3 health.
@@Blitnock 1/3 health? At the end of the trade, Chase had 50 or less hit points left. One sneeze and he would have died. Look carefully at his life bar.
He was using the Crimson Bubbletear in his flask which effectively gives him 1.3 x his health bar, so if he gets whacked down to 0, he gets restored to 30%. However I checked and his flask had run out even though three minutes had not expired during that invasion yet in the video. This is because he cut out some segments when not much was happening, along with the beginning of the video when he used the flask.
So you are right that he *did* just have a sliver of life at that point! Note also that the video doesn't show him using the flask at the start of that segment, but you can see it running up till the video cut at 15:59.
Tank builds are honestly so fun. During exploration too. I once used one with double Serpent-God's Curved Sword. You just will not die with those.

@@bajablastenjoyer5559 I love how in so many games, it's the softest precious metals and/or brittle glasses that are somehow the best armor and weapon materials. I guess hardened bronze or steel is just too pedestrian. lol

Interesting that there were more close invasions with the defense build that the glass cannon. Wonder if it's because Chase cut out losses where he quickly got blendered due to low HP and absorption or if high damage builds are just more effective than tank builds in ER

It's likely the first, but I could believe both. Glass cannon builds just simply delete people, but most of the opponents in those videos didn't look as good. Definitely no dedicated gank squads
@@VonSchnitz I think there were one or two, it's tough to counterplay even as a dedicated ganker when you can afford exactly one mistake before the invader one combos you. But yeah overall given the current invasion experience on PC I think Chase must cut out at least some invasions because I almost always get exclusively dedicated gank squads when I play at meta and even probably over 50% of the time at level 168 and level 90. Lower level is a little better but then you get overleveled phantoms

he streams, or at least used to stream a lot and he's pretty much an unstoppable force of nature on video or live. Chase really is the chosen one.

I'd love to see a Melina Cosplay... just to see if she would've actually needed the Tarnished to finish her mission or if she could've done it on her own (including fending off Invaders)

@@Naturielyou can't even get the spells she uses, she uses a spell that makes a tree of light and a an ash of war that ressemble one of the destined death ash of war, both of them are unobtainable
@@bourhinorc1421 So you're implying that because you can't go 100% you shouldn't even try? If so, then Radagon is off the table because you can't become that huge, Malenia is off the table because players can't get to that insane level of Health-on-Hit... the overwhelming majority of NPC builds is off the table - which in turn makes any Cosplay pointless.
But 100% isn't what I'm asking for. I'm asking for a faithful rendition as far as the game allows you to go, I'm asking for Chase to channel the Essence of Melina - someone who is only ever seen in a supporting role but certainly has the tools to go to war. All I want is to see Chase attempt to showcase what that war would look like.
@@bourhinorc1421 Besides, Melina uses the "Blade of Calling" Dagger, a Weapon with the "Blade of Gold" AoW that essentially is a golden Version of the "Blade of Death" AoW that the Black Knife comes with. As such your 2nd point is incorrect.

I plan to try out a faith version to compare. The only downside being the spear talisman with pierce damage weapons wouldnt work because the build wouldnt be pure physical damage
@@ChaseTheBrothe pearldrake talisman would probably be ideal to add for elemental damage as well. If you're going purely for defense anyways. The blue feather talisman I'd say would be perfect except you rarely let your hp dip that low for long

I see Chase put himself on holiday vacation mode with double spears and full bullgoat set.
Using golden vow + black flack flame protection with x2 braggarts roar + physick basically nets you around 80% damage negation for at least 60 seconds
Do the buffs get reduced for pvp? Or do those ones stay the same?
Use the prayerful strike instead and just be tanky while also healing a bunch of health
Is that taking into account golden vows pvp modifier?
on a faith build you could definitely make this tankier, i actually plan to test that out. although the spear talisman setup with pierce weapons wouldnt be as optimal because its not pure physical damage
@@ChaseTheBro could always swap out for the physical or elemental +2 defense talismans, no harm in sacrificing some damage for additionally OTT tankiness

I love tank builds! Personally, I'd use Crimson Burst over the Bubbletear as the HP regen compliments the high defenses better than the emergency heal imo.
You should test out some combos with Phantom Slash... Ive seen a video by CapDayne Levi, where we comboed it with the Ash of War on Eochaids Dancing Blade from his off hand. I reckon there'd be a tonne better combos.

It's funny to see spears working in Elden Ring exactly as they would in real life; Able to easily take on anything of shorter range that tries to approach. XD
does black flame protection overwrite any of those buffs?
there is a buff that increases body hardness and makes spears bounce off of you
keep that in spell category
put some lionel armor and fight

The only thing missing from this bullgoat and double spear cosplay is copious amounts of pointing down at literally every available opportunity...as is tradition.
The bubble shield reminds me so much of the shield from Crash Team Racing

The buff from braggarts roar is 10% negation to all damage types and they don't stack additionally so your getting something like 23% damage negation to all types if you do braggarts roar on both weapons
As a side note I'm pretty sure this glitch exists because in like patch 1.02 there was a bug that let the heavy attack change and damage buff from a roar on your off hand apply to your main hand even if it was somber so when they patched it they forgot to do it for the damage negation buff because it's only on one of the three roar buffs

I love this build in PVE with Endure on Spiked Caestus because you can charge R2 for huge stagger on most big enemies and bosses. Switch to Great Stars and I can just face tank Full Grown Fallingstar Beast.

sure the overleveling helps but its a build even if the wild variety doesn't have any skill optimization.

I’m so confused. When I tried to put the Braggarts Roar aow on both of my Pikes it only allows me to apply it on one of them. If I try to put it on the other one it removes it from the first one. How are you getting braggarts on Both Spears?
