About having to rest at morgott's arena: you don't need to rest there. If you kill morgott outside the arena, you won't be able to get in at all, but if you go through a fog gate anywhere else in the world, the effect gets nullified. So if you go to the sewers and fight the dungeon boss, go through the fog wall and then save quit, you'll no longer have the status effect, which you can then use the wrong warp glitch into the mountains. Everytime you warp back to the capital though, you'll get the status effect again and you'll have to go through a fog gate again.
that or to me even with the "rest" its fine since after getting to faram azula the capitol is new the old site of grace stops existing and the run is back to never resting at an active site of grace.
Wouldn't defeating Morgott have unlocked the 3 Fingers and let him just burn the tree that way, so no wrong warp to Faram Azula required?
@@TheMoogleKing93 You still need to rest at the Forge site of grace at the mountaintop of giants for that to happen
@@TheMoogleKing93 it does not. It has the same requirements as the border behind the draconic tree sentinel. Killing Morgott is just additional.

When you get Storm Ruler: I am only going to use this in this fight.
When you get Serpent Hunter: I think I can use this for a playthrough.

There has to be dedicated serpent hunters that you can summon in multiplayer.
This used to be a challenge in ds2 that rewarded you with a unique item after beating the game. I remember doing the no death no grace run. Those were the good days.

The rewards were rings that made your weapon invisible. Left hand for no death run, right hand for no bonfire (or vice versa).
still yet to do a no bonfire run of ds2, seems like it'd be more trouble than its worth (no death however was actually fun)
@@breadimus5486 no death was super fun. I remember my first attempt I ended up dying to that frog face boss in the lakes. I was so mad back then because I have never died to that boss before, got clipped by something that looked really wonky lol
@@breadimus5486 There’s guides on how to do no-bonfire speed runs. I done both runs, and the no bonfire definitely is more difficult purely due to not having fast travel, but activating key bonfires and using homeward bones does not ruin the run.
I always find it strange how when you watch the bosses they seem to almost move in slow motion, and you could easily think "I can dodge that."
But then you fight that boss and it's entirely different.
They do move slowly, it's the window to dodge being so small while their wind ups being so long that makes it difficult not the speed of the attacks. You can see stuff coming and dodge too early and get creamed

Yeah, but it takes a while to master their moveset, even after deciding to take the patient route and dodge everything while learning their movements.
You see he gets 7-20 deaths. Probably he is better at reading and dodging some moves rather than others (on certain bosses).
So if you fight the same boss 20 times. You’ll have a run where he mostly does easier to read and dodge attacks. Other runs he will do the harder to read and dodge attacks, and you’ll fail because you keep getting hit and have to flask.
But mostly, it just takes a lot of patience and a time and learning commitment. I think most gamers want to just shred the boss with a couple buddies and keep playing haha. That’s why I think the combo of the strong bosses, and the ability to summon, is a good mix.

Props to Hoarah Loux, the man not only skipped no day, he's also flexible as fuck and not afraid to show it. Full splits with leg power alone. Damn.
This was an in game challenge in Dark Souls 2, if you beat the game without using any bonfires you get a special ring that makes one of your weapons invisible, beat the game without dying and you get a ring that makes the other weapon invisible as well.
Always found it funny how completing some of the toughest PvE challenges in the game rewards you with items only useful in PvP lol
@@DREADDWELLER It was also extremely useful for fasion souls. Combine with Blue Flame, a Pyro Glove, or a chime and you can look like you're casting spells without any tools. Use with a shield to look like you're blocking damage/parrying with your bare hands.
I remember fantasising about RPing a playthrough as a left-handed dragon character of mine, using the ring to hide a parrying dagger in the right hand so I could still parry and take resposts using my "claws"

Probably one of the easiest runs since you can just do whatever you want, it would just take forever.

it's a no roundtable run so you'd have to wrong warp, but otherwise sounds pretty easy

I don't even need to watch the video to know how painful this is going to be. Every time you die you have to walk back You can't get a horse You can't replenish your flasks unless you die You can't talk to Malena to even get the ability to level up. You also can't even make use of a flask of wonderful physik or increase the amount of flasks you even have... As soon as I saw this notification I knew exactly what it would entail and I knew How bad it was going to be and I'm sure it was. Godskin duo ... Okay at least you can spawn close to things. But once you get another grace I guess you cant
Well yeah I guess you can fast travel But really no horse no leveling no flasks basically a no hit run with no horse

@@someyeeterontheblock2421 yeah I feel like there’s always something about these challenges that sound interesting from the title, but falter with technical “rules”. If he touches every grace this just turns into a level 1 run with no torrent. Thats significantly less interesting imo.
@@maninblack3410 basically level 1, no torrent, no checkpoints other than stakes of marika, no physics and barely any flasks. sounds significantly harder than a normal lvl 1 run.
@@spacerider12 you make a checkpoint when you kindle the grace or fast travel to it. The only thing that potentially makes it harder than a lvl 1 run is the flask/physic limitation. But even then there are plenty of other healing and buff options that I wouldn’t really consider it that different…
Edit: I tried giving it the benefit of the doubt by watching it anyway… he just sits at the bonfire. There should be no question then, you can’t beat the game without sitting at the bonfire, but he tries to make it sound like he didn’t. “It’s as if I didn’t rest at the bonfire.” Just say “no, the answer is you can’t, but we’re going to continue anyway because it’s fun.” Go watch any and all mittensquad challenge runs for the perfect way to make entertaining challenge run videos. Sometimes he admits at the start it’s just flat out impossible, but he always puts ridiculous rules that make it more difficult not less.

Dark Souls 2 had a reward if you beat the game without dying and resting on bonfires, illusory ring of the exalted and ring of conquerors - each one made of your hands invisible, meaning you could hide your weapons 100% of the time.
Could you have cleared the "trapped" status by defeating a dungeon boss and then teleporting to the beginning?

Out of curiosity, could you have warped to Leyndell through Fia's teleporter? Or is that also blocked until you go to Roundtable Hold?
wait can you even get there without meeting fia at roundtable? If so, can you do it without talking to mini ranni? He probably thought of that and realized it wouldn't work for some reason. He's usually pretty thorough, and if he misses something then chat usually brings it up 20 times.

At 10:25 he wrote it doesn't work either. I tried to get to Leyndell without 2 great runes via the teleporter but it also doesn't let you. All the teleporter does is let you skip the draconic tree sentinel.
You have to have two great runes to use that teleporter.

I’ve learned how to play by watching you. I watch your full stream vids whenever you post them. Your mastery over this game is fantastic, as is Aggie’s. It’s been an absolute blast watching the both of you! I used to get stuck spamming roll, and constantly rolling at the wrong time, so I just practiced my timing. I haven’t beat the game yet, I like helping others too much 😂 One day I will. Just watched the Radagon/ EB fight. Damn.
I literally tried this on my second run cause I wanted to see If there was some hidden cutscene like if you dont visit hunters dream in bloodborne , sadly I could not go through lyndell without melina and the round table (I was playing glithchless and the wrong warp wasnt discovered yet) so I always wanted to see how this run was!
Basically this is just SL1 run w.o spell/ incantations.
Since the only usage of resting is changing spells and level up .
It's impressive indeed but I were expecting no teleporting too, hehe.
It'd be tedious for sure but also more interesting to see how ppl tackle it .
I wish it was possible glitchless, this seems like an interesting run to do otherwise

Another fun challenge would be to beat eldenring without manually moving your camera. The game will occasionally move the camera depending on how you move but otherwise it'd be in a fixed location
It's not "easy" to use for a whole run but you can use lock on to reorientate your camera to the direction your character is facing. If that's not allowed, it would still be hard to avoid doing accidentally unless you also don't allow lock on entirely.
No camera movement + no lock on does sound like a proper hellscape of a challenge run though so...
EDIT: oh also by default strafing rotates your camera which would trivialize this. If you turn that feature off you're back to fixed camera
Random thing I’ve noticed idk if anyone knows but if you use a silver pickled fowl foot to boost your discovery for farming, if you die to an enemy instead of teleporting you’ll got some reason keep that fowl foot instead of it being fully consumed. Basically an unlimited fowl foot 🤙

I think this is the first time I've seen someone use the Serpent Hunter in an unironic way (for anything else than Rykard), and have it so early that he's using it against Margit XD

You're so good at elden beast... I lose so many rl1's to elden stars its not even funny. I'm on ng+3 and the ticks will 3 shot me. So many bosses in ER seem to be overall very engaging until they do the one stupid move that ruins it. Elden stars, Waterfowl, hell even godskin noble with the rolling.

I do not understand how people figure out these zip glitches, wrong warps, move swaps and all of the other insane ways of bypassing barriers, entering boss rooms without triggering the enemy’s AI, etc.
People must have spent an unbelievable amount of time trying to figure out not only what can be done but how to pull those things off consistently and reliably.

You can actually get into leyndell a different way. When you get transported to that isolated area, have an exploding flask on you. You step up to the edge of where that elevator is, and exactly as you step off take the exploding flask. It should blow up right before you hit the ground, but you should survive the fall. I did it on my second try.
I think that was patched as of 1.04, I know right now, however, the wrong warp for Leyndell is working as of 1.05 still, I did it just before sending this as a fact check
As far as I’m aware, in order to this run glitchless, you need to rest 4 times. Once to get Melina, once to go to the round table hold, once to leave morgott, and once to enter farum azula. I’m not sure if you can combine the Melina and round table rests in one, but I seriously doubt it. So, you know, have fun with that

Fun fact or maybe not: The grace uses water effects then coats them with that gold texture if you align your camera
I started elding ring like a month ago and I didn’t know you leveled up at sites of grace, I thought u just leveled up as time went on so I got ended up beating renala and got stuck because it was too hard 😭 I later realized my mistake and restarted a new game and now I’ve started playing the game right lmao
God I just realized…the reason why I only like horah loux and godrick’s theme is because every other boss theme sounds like a fucking monster hunter theme

Maybe you could do a challenge where you have a random build per boss. Do a random roulette thing to work out your stats that you need to respec. This would then force you to change weapons per fight to suit the situation. No putting an ash of war onto a weapon
i keep thinking i can mimic your perfectly timed dodges, but i end up going early, then just panic rolling like an idiot and getting smacked around by everything... i mostly survive, but i end up beating bosses with no flasks and literally like 10 health or less... "skin o' my teeth" springs to mind

Hey, great idea to display the items on the screen so that we can know what does what but I suggest you display it in the lower left corner so that it won't be literally in your face and also for the gameplay to not be obscured. You earned a sub and I hope you will hear me :)
Alternatively it could be just on the left side between the health/mana/stamina bars and the items interface
I felt like I had achieved something when I beat the game in 90 hours, with a full bleed build at level 170..and now watching this I realise that I am not even in the top 99% of elden ring players 😂 this is absolutely incredible to watch. What an amazing player with insane game knowledge 👏🏻👏🏻
