moments in the piece: 00:10 la valse moment 00:43 I put kikuo in this lmfao 00:53 me trying to be liszt 02:40 probably the worst transition I've ever done 02:49 - 03:29 the best theme in this piece 04:14 earlier version of the ending 04:32 heroic? 04:52 variation of the best theme 06:28 best part, this theme was composed way back last year 07:08 diminished transition with huge leaps 08:41 best transition, should have been in middle part of the keyboard 08:51 the best theme, but in E major (E major always sounds romantic, for me) 09:37 idk where this came from, but this is a cadenza 09:56 glittery moment 10:41 sorabji-esque style 10:57 the heroic part sounded more devilish 11:21 cadenza with the best theme, but in A-flat major (probably the best thing I've composed in a romantic way) 12:47 the devil's laugh
I never told it before because I discovered it a few months after its release, but this composition is amazing. I listened to it dozens of time and I'm still impressed by how complex and rich it is. I love the melody, how it evolves, and I admire you for having compose such a masterpiece. Each time, I'm surprised to see that it's 13 minutes long because it's so good that I loose the notion of time and feel like it lastss 5 minutes. I can't imagine how complex it is to create such a long composition that isn't repetitive. But why "Valse d'un chat" ? The title always makes me laugh, I can't help but have the picture of a cat dancing a waltz... Which would suits the song, I admit. It's sounds so fluid, with the fast and high notes, it could evokes a cat and a waltz.
@Nioh_0 about the title, the reason why it is titled like that is because I dedicated it to a VTuber friend who is in the form of a cat, hence, Valse d'un chat. However, I can't really think of any more titles so I went with that. Very unrelated to the piece but is actually cool as a title. Thank you for listening to that piece!
@norixsynth Aaah, I understand now! This friend is very lucky to have such a composition dedicated to them. And not sure is totally unrelated, I told it, the sonorities sometimes evoke me the agility of a cat or the grace of a waltz ^^' (Yeah, I have a weird brain)

12:38 mephisto waltz taste
Reminds me of Dante sonata
This sounds exactly like Liszt sounds
Noice
6:28 ABBA?
nope...
but that melody was inspired by Schubert, mainly the Wanderer Fantasy.
@@norixsynththat part sounded like Dante sonata
@@zerois2801 sort of.
Take 20 differents classical songs, mixed them randomly and you obtain that.
I'd say "musical influence" is the best fit for that.
But yeah, that's how I did it.
Im sorry but who is Fiona, to whom the piece is dedicated?
She is an indie VTuber who streams on Twitch. A fellow friend, in short.
Liszt would be proud…
