I’m definitely the “take a break after slamming my hands violently on the piano when learning a tricky part and scroll TH-cam shorts for 30 min before coming back to learning the piece” type of pianist (´・ω・`)
9:40 "But, then again, I don't live in America" regarding the rager shooting the piano was for some reason the funniest thing I heard in 2025 so far😂😂😂
I’ve heard lots of TH-camrs say how Donner pianos are really great, but that piano he’s playing sounds like the piano sound from a 90s Casio keyboard I used to have.
Id like to request a video on piano song name meanings if you think itd be interesting. Like impromptu, opus, minuet, sonata, etc? I feel like of the hundreds of piano songs, there are like 5 names that get used over and over again. Itd be interesting to learn what the names mean and a bit about the history of why it's like this.
Definitely the type of slamming my hands on the piano when making the same mistake over and over again... and then just trying it veeeeeery slowly haha
Cateen uses a melodica occasionally. If you haven't heard it, go listen to his cadenza for Rhapsody in Blue that he played in concert with a Japanese orchestra (don't remember which one). It is awesome, you've never heard one anything like it.
Hi! Been binging your channel and this might not be the right place for it but I’d love if you could do a vid or something about how to overcome learning the piano when you have small hands. I’m 33 and I struggle to reach an octave (basically I can’t lol) and it’s such a struggle! I figured maybe you’ve taught people before with tiny hands haha
Do you remember me? 🥺 (Probably not but ig ill see if you do) Anyways like always, I love your videos!!!!!!!!!! Keep making them please otherwise youtube will be boring!!!
I personally agree with you fully on the more emotional pieces are the most impressive, but i was wondering isnt it just as important as learning the fast arpeggios and scales? Becasue I think it would sound the best if you combine those two things but I think i can play emotionaly really well but its so much harder for me to learn those scales and arpeggios 😂 ive been working on them but since I dont read sheet music its so much harder, so i was wondering what you thought! love the jacob collier mention btw
I have a question. So I notice that you sit quite close to the piano. Is this just how you have always sat, your do you sit like that for the video or something? I sit quite far from the piano, when I play, and I'm not sure if there is a correct distance to sit at or not. Should I start sitting closer to the piano, or is it purely a preference thing? (edit: I just realized it could just be an angle thing that makes it look like you're sitting closer, im not sure tho)
It’s the lens zoom that makes it look that way 😊 the background is actually much closer to me than it appears as well! Generally you should sit at the piano so that your feet are on the pedals at just over a right angle 📐
I've grown allergic to these lists these piano content creators make. ''5 types of pianists'' ''10 songs every pianist hates to play'' ''5 songs to learn today'' ''the 10 most overplayed piano songs'' ''5 types of classical music on piano'' ''10 songs you have heard but don't know the name of'' Not a single original thought in these people's head.
The perfect piece for the rager is Nocturne No. 2 Op. 9 in E Flat Major by Frederic Chopin. This is how a rager plays this composition. watch?v=h5u8YWCRfVM
A great and very informative video as always!I love watching your reactions to such videos😊. Can you please react to this piano arrangement of an Indian song 'Yad Lagla' arr. by Chetan Godeshwar,a famous Indian pianist.Pls listen to the song first so that it is easy to notice the counter points that Chetan added. th-cam.com/video/nmBzsCe4CDw/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
The song is from a game called "Undertale", it's a boss music and its name is "Megalovania" or "Bad time". Plays during the battle with Sans on genocide route. I honestly really like that game... and your video!
> Doesn’t know Megalovania
> Improvises one of the coolest “remixes” yet
Thanks 😂 I recognised it at least!
soo true xD
I’m definitely the “take a break after slamming my hands violently on the piano when learning a tricky part and scroll TH-cam shorts for 30 min before coming back to learning the piece” type of pianist (´・ω・`)
Ahhh a very common type of player 😂
9:40 "But, then again, I don't live in America" regarding the rager shooting the piano was for some reason the funniest thing I heard in 2025 so far😂😂😂
4 days into 2025, it’s only up from here 😂
I’ve heard lots of TH-camrs say how Donner pianos are really great, but that piano he’s playing sounds like the piano sound from a 90s Casio keyboard I used to have.
Always good to see a new vid from u man.
Thank you 😊
Starting the new year good. I love your videos man they never fail to make me laugh 🫶
What is the piece called you play on 0:51
I just made it up 😂
@@matticawood already love it 😂 sad melodies always catch me
@@matticawood crazy how you can just make this up so easily. as a beginner piano player your videos inspire me, keep it up
Dang, I was hoping to grab the sheet music. It's really pretty!
@@titicaca. saaaame bro, imagine getting to a level where you can speak out your feelings on the piano
Okay now you gotta make a full cover of Megalovania, that was a nice build up
Hi Matthew, I would probably say I am a player that moves a lot, or a bit of rager! Love your videos! 😊

Me too!
Crazy good idea
9:40 light shade _😂😂😂_
Definitely the type of slamming my hands on the piano when making the same mistake over and over again... and then just trying it veeeeeery slowly haha
At least you find a way to calm down in the end 😂
3:50 how do you not know Megalovania
I recognised it…but I spend too much time making videos rather than watching them 😂

8:50 that's beautiful
What is the "depressed" piece he played called
His or mine? The piece Emstepko played was “Undertale - Fallen Down”. The one I played was some made up improvisation 😂
HOW 😭😭😭
@@GD_Angelhes been playing for like a decade

It’s a huge asset if you can play musically. Technical skills can be learned by doing drills; lots of scales, arpeggios, exercises and etudes 😊
I play a Fantom O series.
Bro casually dropped the best megalovania remix
My category isnt on there, still haven't learnt one song on piano 😂 been playing over 4 years.
Have you listened to elliott smith before if you have what ya think of his piano playing
ive improvised to megalovania before, but that sounded so gooooooooooooooooooood
03:50 Megalovania from a really good game called Undertale
Well, I’m afraid I rather enjoyed your “depressing” piece. I found it rather relaxing and enjoyed it.
Damn…I need to work on making people depressed 😬

What do you think of David Hicken as a pianist and compositor,i personally like very much his compositions.
Counter point (of pianists I know) to meme music: Frank Tedesco and Vinheteiro. xD
Then again, they are probably exceptions to the crowd... :P
I too, am a depressed piano guy
Are you going too keep reacting to your subscribers playing?
I do them in detail as members videos and then when there are enough I put sections of those videos out as a non members video 😊
