I believe the craziest new blood would be guilt leaf archdruid, whenever you cast a vampire you draw a card, and tap 7 vampires to gain control of all lands target player controls.
There's a fun thing I once did with New Blood while playing Edgar. My friend was playing a dinosaur tribal deck with Gishath, Sun's Avatar at the helm. I took that one, hit him back with it, and flipped 10 cards because I had lords already, and put all vampires from among those 10 cards straight onto the field. Ate a fat board wipe almost immediately, but it was a hilarious moment.
Also: great New Blood targets would be nearly any Sliver card. If my First Sliver was taken and the text was changed to "[Vampires] you control have cascade" I almost couldn't be mad
Nothing hurts more than having your kumena, tyrant of orazca taken with new blood. Tap one vampire: make kumena unblockable. Tap 3 vampires: draw a card. Tap 5 vampires: put a +1+1 counter on each vampire you control. It hurts man. That being said... merfolk please
Oh man. I can confirm this to be very true. I've stolen my friend's Kumena with New Blood while playing my Edgar, numerous times before, and it's just the greatest feeling in the world for me, and the absolute worst for him.
If you use New Blood to take the Ur-Dragon, it now becomes the Ur-Vampire, a 10/10 flying Vampire Avatar, reduces Vampire spell costs by 1 uncolored mana, and whenever you attack with any number of vampires you draw that many cards and put a permanent on the battlefield from the drawn cards.

I play Edgar with possibility storm. It's great to mess up other people's plays, but it also lets you cast vamps from your library for free, and get more vamps because of Edgar. Bonus is playing low cost creatures to cheat out higher cost vamps, and getting 2 tokens in the process.
Oh man I've never seen that card New Blood before and my Krenko, mob boss deck hopes I never do! But here are some good cards to steal with it that I havent seen mentioned. 1. Crested Sunmare 2. Grave Titan 3. Dragonmaster Outcast 4. Rampaging Baloths 5. Myr battlesphere

In my Edgar Markov I tend to use these synergies: • Sanctum Seeker + Reconnaissance - nobody has to die and yet you have all the attack triggers you need • Oathsworn Vampire + Phyrexian Altar - with Edgar as a Commander it gets infinite death and ETB triggers so say hi to Impact Tremors/Purphoros or Blood Artist and his crew And for New Blood target: Imagine getting Utvara Hellkite. You get 6/6 Vampire that creates 6/6 Vampires whenever your Vampire attacks. Repeat each turn until opponents are beat to pulp :D
Ideas for New Blood. Gain control of your own Diregraf Colossus. "Whenever you cast a Vampire spell, put a 2/2 black Vampire creature token onto the battlefield tapped." Krenko, Mob Boss "{T}: Create X 1/1 red Vampire creature tokens, where X is the number of Vampires you control." Homing Sliver "Each Vampire card in each player's hand has vampirecycling {3}. Vampirecycling {3} ({3}, Discard this card: Search your library for a Vampire card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library.)" Not sure if slivercycling would swap or not.
Steal Atogatog (6 instances of the word atog if you count it's name as two, which, I'm gonna, because a) hilarious, b) if you copied the card text into a word document, ctrl+f'd "atog" and replaced "atog" with "vampire", It's name becomes "Vampirevampire" ). It becomes: Vampirevampire Creature - Vampire Legend Sacrifice an Vampire creature: Vampirevampire gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the sacrificed creature's power.

New Blood story. I stole my son's omnath locus of rage and when I dropped a land I would get a 5/5 elemental that would bolt any target for 3 when I would sac it. Same was true for any other vamp that went to the yard.
One additional thing about NEW BLOOD: This card change only affects the creature's abilities, not its creature type, unless you also change its type by some other effect. The Archdruid remains an Elf, but its abilities now refer to Vampires instead.
Man I wish Vito had been revealed before this video came out, what a great card that abuses lifelink into damage AND provides another possibility to infinite out with your Exquisite Blood!
Your possibly going to have to do an updated Vamp tribal video soon. Also why they heck would you not use Olivia Voldaren? Is it because shes a kill on sight commander/part of the 99? She gets bigger every time you ping something and being able to take control of the thing you ping is great. Yes she dies you loose whatever it is you have taken control of but its only a minor inconvenience. In a mardu deck Vampire Nocturnus isnt actually that great. Hes only active MAYBE half the time.

For Malakir Bloodwitch and being 'weird' with white protection; I think its probably due to the shaman aspect of the creature. Shaman are nature attuned, so perhaps this vampire is attuned in such a fine tuned way to their sunlight weakenss that it has gained protection from it. Maybe?
Made a troll vampire deck with Thraximundar (I know, not a vampire) as my commander. Run a bunch of creature stealing spells and Captivating vampire just to use more of my opponents creatures as sac outlets for Thraximundar.
Love your videos! The fact htat nearly every video is around half an hour in contrast to all the 10 minute monetized to the max, youtube optimized shit everywhere makes them like a real entertainment format, where I dont have to look up the next video every 10 minutes and spend more time searching for videos then watching...
My favorite vampire has to be Falkenrath Aristocrat. I was sorta happy they took her ability and put it on a Commander. I wish she was legendary. The problem with running her is you end up wanting humans to sac to her, but also have vampires.
Pro tip: if Elenda is your commander (as she is mine), put blade of the bloodchief on her. She gets bumped up fast, and if you have Felisa, Fang of the Silverquill, or (the better choice) Ojer Taq, the Living Foundation, it creates SO many tokens 😂 Say Elenda comes onto the battlefield, and equip her with the blade, four creature die, she gets +12/+12. If you have ojer taq, and you sac Elenda, you get 39 vampire tokens. With Felisa, you get 13 1/1 vampire tokens with life link and 12 2/1 inkling tokens with flying
A vampire deck with kaya, blood witch and maybe there's a card to give cruel celebrant hexproof for doomskar or blue,white, black replicating deck would be fun for sure with sacrificing Elenda and make beefy copies of her, there's alot to do and sets I've missed.
Licia is one of my super jank commanders. Run her as a life hurts deck where I knock myself down as close to 1 as possible (sometimes TO 1) then do life total switches abusing the effects to gain extra life while my opponents lose even more. Can one shot outta nowhere but it wins VERY rarely. Still, one of the most fun wins I can pull off
Wurms has a legendary. Can't remember it's name but it's a low drop beast but gives opponents cards. I was tempted to build wurm tribal but it's surprisingly expensive...
The Creature's i stole with New Blood: Scion of the Ur-Dragon, The Ur-Dragon, Arahbo (The cat commander). Some one over stole my Seahunter once hahaha. But also the New Anowan (The mill Rogue) would be really awesome to steal xD

@@NitpickingNerds I was thinking that rakdos lord of riots is probably the best option, it does not specify demons, however demons often have a high cmc and this rakdos reduces there mana costs in addition to additional synergy with the demon theme of life loss Another possible option would be kalia of the vast, but I found rakdos to be more flavorful
New blood najeela, now I get trapped attacking vampires when my vampires attack. She's pretty broken normally so as a vampire I'm sure she breaks the deck as well.

I want to shout out vampire necropolis regent & Bloodlord of vaasgoth. The blood thirst 3 can be brutal on a bunch of little vamps. Also heirloom blade, and cathar’s crusade
Steal Koma with new blood, replace Serpent with Vampire. Markov + Koma. This might be the so good it's unfun aspect you mentioned. All of your vampires - tokens, koma coils, etc, become tap downs.
Of the top tribes, Im making an Ezuri Renegade elves deck rn and then I might make a Grenzo Dungeon Warden Goblins deck after. Id definitely like to see your guys's recs for those
Maybe you should do the tribes in some sort of logical progression. Start with the un-human tribes (vampires, zombies, werewolves, etc.), then popular fantasy races (elves, goblins, etc.), then do human variants (soldiers, knights, etc.), then humans, then angels, then demons, then dragons, then you can do other animals, and then the more abstract stuff like walls.
could one do a dredge vampire deck... grave pact, golgari germination, desecrated tomb, fungal plots, life from the loom..Green Black or Black/White/Green.. you just need something to pop off when something dies or leave your graveyard. Bats , Saproling, maybe some Thrulls LOL
I ran Edgar Markov, because i wanted to have access to Mardu colors. It's my least played deck for a long time now, and i'm probably going to take Edgar apart. I agree with what you said about him becoming "easy mode", as he very much does. The deck gets very boring to play, very fast. It's also just good without you really putting in any effort, and i don't like that Edgar is so strong without ever having to be cast. He basically just becomes akin to Craterhoof Behemoth late game.
Yup, undeniably strong, unbearably boring. Granted, i just built a Sai, Master Thopterist deck that has a very similar effect as Edgar, but at least i actually have to cast my commander. The deck is WAY more fun too.
Your Blade of the Bloodchief/Olivia Voldaren example was wrong. When you ping with Olivia with the blade equipped, she'd get 1 counter. If she pings a 1/1, she'd get 3.
I don't have any vampire cards but I came here because I wanted to make a deck for them. Newblood sounds hilarious against my friend who plays dragons helmed by Atarka, World Render. Taking that to give my vampires double strike or taking Scourge of Valkas to deal x damage to a target where x is the number of "vampires" I control just sounds too funny not to do.

New blood stealing Omnath Locust of Rage is hilarious! Landfall making Vampires, dying vampires pinging the enemies! So much fun!

I'm toying around with a new vampire build using Oloro as the general. I chose him mainly for access to blue to do a couple of combo lines

Just saying the Sanctum Seeker drains EVERY opponent for each attacking Vampire. In Multiplayer this thing is actually a bomb. ^^

As much of a Halloween Baby that I am, and as much as Castlevania is a little nostalgia bomb for me, I can't do Edgar Markov because he's a smidge rich for my blood (at time of posting, ~$75). What'd y'all recommend for something on a more reasonable budget?

Steal Koma with new blood, replace Serpent with Vampire. Markov + Koma. This might be the so good it's unfun aspect you mentioned. All of your vampires - tokens, koma coils, etc, become tap downs.

Maybe you should do the tribes in some sort of logical progression. Start with the un-human tribes (vampires, zombies, werewolves, etc.), then popular fantasy races (elves, goblins, etc.), then do human variants (soldiers, knights, etc.), then humans, then angels, then demons, then dragons, then you can do other animals, and then the more abstract stuff like walls.

could one do a dredge vampire deck... grave pact, golgari germination, desecrated tomb, fungal plots, life from the loom..Green Black or Black/White/Green.. you just need something to pop off when something dies or leave your graveyard. Bats , Saproling, maybe some Thrulls LOL

New blood on Kaalia the vast. Throw big vampires at people while shutting down a Kaalia deck
Witch's Oven and Cauldron Familiar would be good in this deck.

I ran Edgar Markov, because i wanted to have access to Mardu colors. It's my least played deck for a long time now, and i'm probably going to take Edgar apart. I agree with what you said about him becoming "easy mode", as he very much does. The deck gets very boring to play, very fast. It's also just good without you really putting in any effort, and i don't like that Edgar is so strong without ever having to be cast. He basically just becomes akin to Craterhoof Behemoth late game.
Yeah, it's kind of no fun to do the EXACT same thing every game, some variance is good!
Yup, undeniably strong, unbearably boring. Granted, i just built a Sai, Master Thopterist deck that has a very similar effect as Edgar, but at least i actually have to cast my commander. The deck is WAY more fun too.
I agree with Edgar being a bit too much and boring. I never built him, but one of my friends did. I swap out Edgar for Licia when I play his deck.

Your Blade of the Bloodchief/Olivia Voldaren example was wrong. When you ping with Olivia with the blade equipped, she'd get 1 counter. If she pings a 1/1, she'd get 3.

If you changed Kaalia into a vampire, then you cheated. New Blood changes one creature type on a card, not all of them.

I don't have any vampire cards but I came here because I wanted to make a deck for them. Newblood sounds hilarious against my friend who plays dragons helmed by Atarka, World Render.
Taking that to give my vampires double strike or taking Scourge of Valkas to deal x damage to a target where x is the number of "vampires" I control just sounds too funny not to do.
