I will be the only one maybe but I love eminence. Especially of Edgar and The Ur Dragon. From flavour perspective it lets me perceive that they are superior creature in their own tribe,that they have something more.. so that they can have an ability while in the command zone. What I would have done tho,was to limit the eminence ability only in the command zone. So you have 2 options,both strongs, unlike other legendary creatures but where,while playing,only one is active.
I think people love playing commander with Eminence, but hate playing against those decks. I think the Eminence ability is okay with all other commander except Edgar because he creates value permanently, vs temporarily. He is also the most expensive non-reserved list commander for a reason too.

I love your videos. It's helped me build the base for so many of my decks, so thank you so much! Edgar was my first EDH deck and I've fine tuned, disassembled, and rebuilt Edgar into all the different types of flavor you can think of. So I have a couple of comments (in my humble opinion of course!) 1.) I think this deck is trying to do a bit too much. I think concentrating on one thing is better. I've tried the Aristocrats theme and what I found was that sacrificing your tokens (even though you generate a lot) starts to become detrimental mid to late game. I'm not saying it's not effective, I'm just saying that from experience, Aristocrats won me less games than beatdown. But some nice additions for an Aristocrats theme would be Blade of the Bloodchief, Anointed Procession, and Phyrexian Tower. 2.) Zagras, Thief of Heartbeats would be an EXCELLENT addition because you run Stromkirk Captain. With both of those on the field, it's usually game over because all your creatures have first strike and deathtouch. 3.) You're going to need a lot of board wipe protection. Again, from experience, Edgar falls apart from just one board wipe. Great cards for this are: Boros Charm, Flawless Manuever, Make a Stand, and Rootborn Defenses. 4.) Last, if people can afford it, Vampiric Tutor is great in flavor. Again, great video and thanks for the content!
Thanks for giving me some perspectives on what you've learned from the deck. If you know me, you know I love the slow aristocrats drain, but I do agree after a bit of playing the beat down is the best plan. I do believe there should be a little more protection for the deck. How could I have forgot the most flavorful Vampire Tutor.
I’m thinking of building this deck. Seems good. I agree board protection is needed and I have all four cards you mentioned. Which four cards would you remove to put the four you mentioned in? Also is Edgar banned? Is he worth even building if he’s banned lol

Just picked up Edgar and I’m very excited to bring out this deck. I have a feeling that I’ll be a target for the whole table right away!

Totally agree, eminence was a huge mistake, probably more than partner. I also have a foil Sram deck -- great minds.

I've been told by a few people that the Exquisite blood and Sanguine Bond card combo is banned in commander. Is there any validity to that statement?
