The Lions traded Stafford to the Rams, rebuilt their team around Goff while the Rams won a Super Bowl, and now it comes full circle with the Lions beating the Rams in the playoffs. The Goff/Stafford trade really a win win for both teams.
From almost going 0-17 to almost making the playoffs to being one of the best teams in the NFL. This team has been electrifying! I haven't been a Lions fan for that long, but I felt the joy and relief of older fans who have gone through the struggle. Detroit needed this victory. Idk how so many Rams fans forgot about the BIGGEST ref blunder of the game that helped them. Dont believe me? Google refs in this game. The headlines are that the Lions got hosed again, NOT the Rams. But since the questionable PI happened at the end thats all people want to remember. And thats common ref mistakes. Calling a possession flopping penalty on the WRONG team at the end of the half is FAAAAAR WORSE

Seahawks fan here but today I missed football so I watched one of my favorite NFL games. I always liked to see Lions play. I was rooting for them in the playoffs since Seahawks didn’t make it but man this game was insane

What a great turn around from the Detroit Lions!! After years of pain they deserved it today, Good on Dan Campbell and the coaching staff who still have a job. They have worked really hard with this team.

Been a Lions fan all my life - born in 1960. I was at their only previous playoff win in my lifetime - January of '92 at the Silverdome. Mannnnnnn, this was a long time coming! The city is fired up and thrilled we get another home playoff game next Sunday!

I’m so happy for Jared Goff man. He got traded and everyone thought his career is over. Now here he is defeating his old team in the playoffs and getting the game ball for his efforts. With how things ended for him in Los Angeles, I’m really glad to see him wind up on a team that trusts and appreciates him so much. Even as a Saints fan it makes me happy to see how much both teams have benefited from the Stafford trade, and this really felt like it coming full circle. The Rams got their Super Bowl a couple years ago and are still staying relevant even when everyone thought they were finished, and for the Lions their success story is only just beginning. Hoping for great things for both teams in the future. What a time to be alive.

My brother passed just 2 years back. He was a huge Michigan and Lions fan. He took me to my first games for NCAA and the NFL in Ann Arbor and the Silverdome.
