As a lifelong Lions fan, I still can't believe what happened last night. Still stunned (and thrilled)! But I also have to say that Matthew Stafford is a HOFer and there is no debate. His arm talent is unmatched. That throw to Tutu Atwell, there might be three people on the planet that can make that throw. It was an incredible football game last night.

Same here saw the Lions win a playoff game 32 years ago been a Lions fan since 1989.
Since '70 here...just loved when they panned the crowd at the end of the game, and showed some old-schoolers so happy... Such a beautiful thing, faithfulness rewarded!
Having said that though, terrible how the Detroit front office couldn't just reward the most faithful, long-suffering fans in the NFL BY FAR, and delay the insane price hike. Or at the very least, minimize the increase. More classlessness, unfortunately.

As a Rams fan, I'm a bit disappointed that the Rams came just short of the upset, but at the same time, I'm proud of what they accomplished this year. I'm pulling for the Lions to reach the Super Bowl.
It was an upset that Detroit won. They were barely favored and you get points for being the home team. Literally everyone was picking the Rams. It’s just no one wanted the Rams to win bc your coach didn’t believe in Goff and everyone wanted him to get his revenge. Anyone would’ve lost to Brady the superbowl goff lost. And any average QB would’ve won the Super Bowl the year you won. Stafford couldn’t succeed in Detroit bc he isn’t the better player. that very first drive, when Matthew Stafford stepped on the field and was introduced by the broadcast, a rain of boos came from the crowd as they were shown on the TV screen.
and then about 5-10 seconds after the loudest roar i’ve heard from Ford Field EVER, happened on that first snap and drive. the commentary didn’t say a word until the Rams snapped the ball and started the player introductions. it was like watching a primetime SEC game in college, it was electric.
fantastic game from both sides, Detroit can win the next game against either Tampa or Eagles at home. as for the Rams, they have house money on both sides of the ball and will be back next year

Stafford was making throws Goff didnt need to make, it was pretty simple our DBs were just not good enough combined with D playcalling , we should of won this game and what is even crazier is how Lions kicker made that 54yrd FieldGoal that was the biggest surprise ..

As a die hard lions fan since I was born in 1984 and raised to be, I’m so very grateful and think they have potential to win next round.
It's funny how I keep hearing about the 1-2 inch tug on the jersey being missed. What I don't hear at all is how the refs totally blew a neutral zone infraction, and called a false start on Detroit with a minute left in the first half. That would have given them a first down in field goal range around the 35 with all 3 timeouts, but instead put them at 4th and 10 around the 45, so they had to punt. Up to that point they marched down the 3 previous drives and scored thouchdowns with ease. They need to do something about being able to get a better look at a called penalty, challenge flag etc. I thought that was a big shift right before half that shouldn't have never happened. This stuff's getting ridiculous. We have the technology ffs.

No it doesn’t. 😂 Detroit didn’t have a single penalty in the entire 2nd half, but all 4 of the Rams penalties came specifically in the 4Q with only 5 min. to go in the game. Kinda odd how the timing of the refs calls were *HEAVILY* favored for Detroit at the end of the game.

Eh…they missed the jersey grab, but there was also a Lions drive late in the first half that got ended when the Lions got called for a false start that should have been offsides against LA. There were a couple calls missed both ways…so I don’t have an issue with it.
