I've lived in WNY for fifty-two years, after talking my Mom into coming up here from DC so I could learn to ski. And I've done that, even skiing at Breckenridge at -54°F (no wind that nite). The snow had something of a 'hi-freq twang' to it. I had to go out to run errands yesterday, and figured I could get my hill-climb for the day in by walking even tho there was a bit of wind. The distance was only about 1 1/2 mi. Even tho I had 2 rest n warm stops along the way, and the same at the far target of my walk, I have never been so cold in my life as I was as I approached home after sunset last nite. I was still cold during my shower this morning. I cannot imagine playing football in this kind of weather. I think I would shatter if I took the kind of hits I see these guys take.
I'm a niners fan and congrats to the Buffalo Bills for winning the wildcard round vs the Steelers. I also like the steelers but in my opinion the steelers did have an ok season. The Bill's fought hard tonight despite the injuries and still won. I admit this wildcard weekend was great to watch and next weekend will be the Divisional rounds and that will be fun to watch. What a great playoff season so far except some crazy penalties. Good luck against the Chiefs and I hope the bills bring their A game next weekend against the Chiefs.
Especially when after the Eagles game, the Bills only had a 5% chance of making it to the playoffs at all. Then they win every single game since then, win their division, and then whomp the Steelers too.
Great start to the playoffs for the Bills. Josh did the Josh thing and the defense held in spite of even more injuries. But a special "Buffalo Shout" out has to go to #10 Khalil Shakir, for the extra effort to escape Fitzpatrick and score from the 18 yard line to seal the Victory.
Just too many mistakes. You can't afford turnovers, penalties, and missed tackles. I feel like us not having watt was a key factor but 1 person doesn't make a game. Others had to step up and unfortunately it didn't work in our favor. Too many mistakes and it cost us. Good luck Bills! You guys deserve it! You played hard and I'm hoping you guys will take it all.

The blocked field goal attempt was a very interesting circumstance in which Buffalo allowed a Steeler touchdown by giving them very short field position. I, personally, always took the "worst case scenario" as a missed field goal and turnover on downs to the other team at the line of scrimmage. This will greatly change how I calculate 4th down decisions in my head (punt vs field goal vs go for it?)

What I’ve realized these last few years as QBs get faster and run more…defensive players are just too scared to tackle running qbs. They’re too afraid of being flagged, and let them run all over the field, often trying to push them down rather than tackle them when they run. I've lived in WNY for fifty-two years, after talking my Mom into coming up here from DC so I could learn to ski.
And I've done that, even skiing at Breckenridge at -54°F (no wind that nite). The snow had something of a 'hi-freq twang' to it.
I had to go out to run errands yesterday, and figured I could get my hill-climb for the day in by walking even tho there was a bit of wind. The distance was only about 1 1/2 mi.
Even tho I had 2 rest n warm stops along the way, and the same at the far target of my walk, I have never been so cold in my life as I was as I approached home after sunset last nite. I was still cold during my shower this morning.
I cannot imagine playing football in this kind of weather. I think I would shatter if I took the kind of hits I see these guys take.

I'm a niners fan and congrats to the Buffalo Bills for winning the wildcard round vs the Steelers. I also like the steelers but in my opinion the steelers did have an ok season. The Bill's fought hard tonight despite the injuries and still won. I admit this wildcard weekend was great to watch and next weekend will be the Divisional rounds and that will be fun to watch. What a great playoff season so far except some crazy penalties. Good luck against the Chiefs and I hope the bills bring their A game next weekend against the Chiefs.
Especially when after the Eagles game, the Bills only had a 5% chance of making it to the playoffs at all. Then they win every single game since then, win their division, and then whomp the Steelers too.

While I'm bummed my Steelers lost, I think they had a solid season, the future looks good. Congrats Bills!
I knew they would lose before the game even started, but at least the game was close throughout by the end.
Just too many mistakes. You can't afford turnovers, penalties, and missed tackles. I feel like us not having watt was a key factor but 1 person doesn't make a game. Others had to step up and unfortunately it didn't work in our favor. Too many mistakes and it cost us. Good luck Bills! You guys deserve it! You played hard and I'm hoping you guys will take it all.

The blocked field goal attempt was a very interesting circumstance in which Buffalo allowed a Steeler touchdown by giving them very short field position. I, personally, always took the "worst case scenario" as a missed field goal and turnover on downs to the other team at the line of scrimmage. This will greatly change how I calculate 4th down decisions in my head (punt vs field goal vs go for it?)

What I’ve realized these last few years as QBs get faster and run more…defensive players are just too scared to tackle running qbs. They’re too afraid of being flagged, and let them run all over the field, often trying to push them down rather than tackle them when they run. Just pathetic now, this game used to have big hits and tough players. Bunch of pansies now.
