I just got my first ever bottle this afternoon as a blind buy, 2015 batch and I played this video, just audio, in the dark after spraying my arm -- you described this scent impeccably :) I for one like the pear tho but very spot on. Thank you for that.
What an extraordinary breakdown! The scent, ingredients (never knew that about iris, I'm not an expert though), pros & cons, this is truly top notch of a review. I can confirm its projection and longevity: once I drove my brother to an interview and he wore DHI. In the car it gave me a slight headache and I warned him to kinda temper it down with some wet tissues or something before he goes in. Even after he did and we met later in the evening I could still smell it on him. It's not my favourite, but I can see why it's so loved by many. love this one, more masculine than the original homme but my fav remain the Homme Sport! the one that I get more compliments than just about any other bottle in my (large) collection.
Brilliant, bought it today in Rome airport…was so confused between intense and PARFUM but the lady selling it said I would like intense as it’s more lighter than PARFUM , so went for it and it has performed well so far.

And what's the difference for a fragrance in winter or summer if the majority spends 90% of the time indoors or in transport with its own temperature, which does not differ in winter and summer? Never understood this.
Hello AC, DHI is an all time favorite...However, if you can, get your nose on a decant of Armani Privé Sable Or. It's a more refined and smoother DHI with a buttery/suede feel.
Late to offer praise for an excellent addition to the fragcom Dior Homme Intense review catalogue. I missed Dior Homme (have a decant of the Parfum) however am compelled to praise your descriptions. So agree DHI seems fit for dressed up chilly night out in the city. Smells really, really great. Thanks for the review.

Hello AC the opening of DHi feels more like "cosmetic" "foundation" to my nose rather than lipstick... and i really really try to search the pear note but i just can't seem to relate to that i can't really know how it smelss ... is it that "dryness" in the opening that is because of the pear?

Hi AC sir, I have a complaint, why do you explain things on such a magical way that one feels like buying all that you review. Absolutely the best ones out there. I have seen this and Prada l'homme intense review multiple times still torn apart between the two. Love the iris in both which one would you pick? I feel PLI is more versatile than DHI but people say DHI is like the best designer fragrance. And like you said not for the office ( whenever that opens up)
No one describes fragrances like you AC. I am a big fan of the original and it works well on my skin but if I had to get another version it would the Parfum.
Out of the 3 Dior Homme fragrances, this is 2nd for me. I prefer the Parfum with the OG last. I over-sprayed this then went to work & well a few people complained of headaches aha!
@@ACSmellsGood For me its DHP too, I have a back-up bottle so should be fine for a while! Harder to come by now which is very annoying! :| I dont regret over-spraying, not bothered what others say as long as I like the scent really aha!
I really liked how this one starts, but strangely the drydown became soooo musky on my skin, then I just had to wash it off. I was quite surprised, because it shouldn't be musky, and it's only around the end of the drydown.
Awesome review... Valentino Uomo Intense has stole my heart away from this one. I wonder if the formula you have is an old one... Mine isn't as strong.
Hi Rex, the batch code on mine is 6W02, which puts it at Sep' 2016, if that helps. What would you say are the key differences between VMI and DHI mate ?

VUI is to my nose very similar to the older DHI formula, it's dense, it's richer, it's got most dhi notes except for the pear note and tonka. It was replaced with orange. It's a 10/10 if DHI was 9. But I can see a user for both but VUI gets perfect vote.
I bought a 2012 vintage bottle off ebay and I wish I would have gotten the current formulation AC. The seal in between seems to be compromised. It's not completely broken but doesn't "click". Anyway I was looking forward to some sweet pear and more depth then what i'm getting. I'm really just getting the musky iris all the way through. Is the sweetness supposed to be subtle? Wasn't expecting ultra male sweet but would you say the top notes are gone with age and oxidation?
Just bought a bottle.....love it absolutely......maybe I should get the perfum version as well.... Two scents, I'll like to request your review on, one is Ambra Calabria by Nishane & Fing Fabulous by tom ford .....hope you'll do them soon....or maybe early 2021 🙂

I made the mistake over spraying and sticking my nose to it after applying when I first got my bottle. Yes it gave me a nausea feeling. I agree don’t over spray and give it time to settle before making my rookie mistake. Easy trigger and allow the fragrance to work its magic. It’s a beast!
Coincidence that you should post this video today. I am trying to decide whether to wear Homme Intense, Colonia Essenza, or Mandorlo di Sicilia to a wedding in Kuala Lumpur next week. I'm wearing Intense today. Because of the humidity, I think I will go with Mandorlo. Women will flirt if you smell like dessert.

Its a tough one Ayush, I would get both, although if you are really pushed I would get the Prada first.

Iris note is difficult to use in man perfumes for me the expansive makeup smell is not my thing so I would pass on this one

By the looks of it, I think your bottle is fine, but its just has a simple dash of sweetness no fruity stuff.

Actually came out in 2007.
Sam, that was a different scent as it had Vanilla and Amber along with Iris. The 2011 version doesn't have those two notes.

It's nice but I think it's one of Fragcom's most overrated scents, to be honest.
