This is a tremendous video, thanks for taking the time to create it. I loved your running commentary, informative and entertaining without being cheesy. Thanks again.
When I replaced my fuel lines, I didn't utilize the plastic piece that goes through the firewall. Instead, it was removed and a rubber grommet was inserted. Then FI hose ran from the filter, through that grommet, to the engine. Do you see the necessity of using the plastic fuel line?
@@scrapdaddysgarage5027 Just finished the job using GoWesty splices then realized I still have a fuel line joint, although better, directly above the starter. When the bus comes back from the paint shop, I will make an injection line home run all the way from the fuel distribution t fitting to the fuel filter. and will do the same on the return line. My opinion: the bulkhead/firewall plastic piece was used to ease engine installation at the factory. Pre-plumb the fuel lines then install the prepared engine.

That fitting is not necessary, in my opinion. Especially being made out of plastic it’s a disaster waiting to happen, it’s good to remove it.
