- This scene is from episode 18 of season 7. One of the most hysterical scene ever (but then again, every single episode of Golden Girls is hysterical :3)
I do not own or claim to own anything Golden Girls related. I am purely a long-time fan of the series.
The sass that Blanche popped that balloon with.....
Maybe it was a pencil ✏ or her finger? ☝

The pettiness simply cannot be measured
And the fact she didn't even look as she did it. She hit it anywhere and that spot happened to be a good one. Plus the fact Sophia didn't even notice until after that her balloon was popped. This is one of the few times Blanche got good even with Sophia.. 😂

You did not notice that Blanche wanted to laugh after she popped the balloon. She kept it in whilst talking to Sophia.
All three characters are hilarious! Sphia calling Blanche a "bed hopping relic", Blanche popping the balloon, and Dorothy just keeping a straight face about the whole thing. Then Blanche irritably saying, "The point I'm trying to make is...". Finally, "Hey, where's my balloon?"
Hey, no worries. I'm just glad that people still view this show with the credit that it deserves. The show really was so well-done, and I still laugh at it when I catch it.

What amazes me is how calm they remained when that balloon pops. Even when I know a balloon is going to pop, I still flinch!

Yeah. She brags about her bed-hopping anyway so she doesn't even look it as an insult. The relic part especially since Sophia was basically calling her an antique/an old object 😂

This scene cannot be described with words. All if the three are superb. I cannot tell however if Dorothy hears the balloon burst and ignores it or she just does not pay attention to the stupid altercations between Blanche and Sophia.
She probably heard every single word between Blanche and Sophia. She just chose to let them have their moment I guess 😂

I don't think I'd be able to do this scene without flinching. I hate when balloons pop, or there's any loud noise similar to that. But these ladies were pros, and I'm sure they did several takes of it and got used to it.

What is so funny is when Blanche pops a balloon just so straight-faced and everyone is not frightened by the sound the balloon mad and just the silence. Sophia was a legit boss when she insulted Blanche the way she did
