I’m mixed, my father was black, and my mother is white, most people think that I’m Hispanic, because I’m very light, so the way that these women are speaking is absolutely abhorrent to me. Like I’m so sorry that my parents dated, my bad. 😂 and I cannot count the amount of times that it’s been black girls that told me my whole life that I wasn’t black enough. I’m U.S. born and raised, 1/4 Mexican and 3/4 Irish&Scottish. He’s a black Panamanian. We are an interracial couple and it disgusts me when we get disapproving looks. We can’t help that we love each other. We also both tend to find other skin tones more attractive than our own. The opposites attract rule applies to us.

There's a girl like that at my college. I'm white, but I go to a historically black community college. I have a leg disability and sometimes need an elevator. She's pulled me out of elevators by the hair for being white when I seriously needed the elevator and she's perfectly fine. She won't even share the elevator because she's black and "superior". She's been known to yell at white people for existing. Somehow we're all destroying her life and we all need to be moved into a separate life with separate utilities......She literally just said she wanted segregation. It's annoying. I highly doubt it. I live near a school, and whenever I walk past the school and mothers/fathers are picking their kids up, and I see a white kid with a dark skinned father or mother or whatever.. It is true that there are mixed experiences, but there’s no such thing as diluting an experience or making it palatable. Both of those statements from one race to another make it look as if “Race X’s experience (in this case black) is too strong for you whites to handle.” It’s alienating. It’s a sassy, media-stirring way of selfishly admitting you don’t want to open up your way of life to anyone for learning’s sake. Yeah, people can be mean to bicultural and/or biracial individuals, and yeah, representation can be for virtue points, but being haughty about how separate you want to be doesn’t bode well coming from A PRODUCT OF CROSSOVERS AND UNIONS.
I remember I have been befriended a Brazilian girl a year ago and she asked me if i think there is also racism towards white people. I said that I think that would exist (I'm white from Germany and she is black from Brazil) and she went mad and told me that white people never have suffered through racism. I was confused and this video shows truly that not only black but also white and people from other countries and etc have suffered through racism. Racism goes all the ways and not just one.
I don't think she feels superior. Quite the contrary, I think that she is well aware of the stereotype of black women being statistically the least desirable, perhaps she sees those inferior qualities in herself and cannot find the drive or power to change that, so she has to lash out at women that, in her own view, are taking her place. As a black woman this is not due to her parents. This is actually something that's happening a lot in our black community. No matter where you from and your background some black women feel jealousy when they see white-black relationship. My mom, my female black friends revealed to me how bad it is to see this kind of relationship each time we see one on the street passing by. It's a mindset for many. Because it is know that black women are activists. And also they want that their homologue black men should not date in their opinion a white woman in order to prove their standard of being beautiful: a black woman is superior. So if they find a man's dating a white one, they would feel betrayed. At the end, they would interpret it wrong into : " so this white girl is a win-win for him because she means success". I’m U.S. born and raised, 1/4 Mexican and 3/4 Irish&Scottish. He’s a black Panamanian. We are an interracial couple and it disgusts me when we get disapproving looks. We can’t help that we love each other. We also both tend to find other skin tones more attractive than our own. The opposites attract rule applies to us.

There's a girl like that at my college. I'm white, but I go to a historically black community college. I have a leg disability and sometimes need an elevator. She's pulled me out of elevators by the hair for being white when I seriously needed the elevator and she's perfectly fine. She won't even share the elevator because she's black and "superior". I highly doubt it. I live near a school, and whenever I walk past the school and mothers/fathers are picking their kids up, and I see a white kid with a dark skinned father or mother or whatever.. My brain goes "oh probably mixed or whatever", and then I keep walking and go about my day and mind my own damn business.

I’m Colombian from both my parents, but I’m solidly bi-cultural, in terms that I feel slightly alien in either the US and Colombia.
It is true that there are mixed experiences, but there’s no such thing as diluting an experience or making it palatable. Both of those statements from one race to another make it look as if “Race X’s experience (in this case black) is too strong for you whites to handle.” It’s alienating. It’s a sassy, media-stirring way of selfishly admitting you don’t want to open up your way of life to anyone for learning’s sake.
Yeah, people can be mean to bicultural and/or biracial individuals, and yeah, representation can be for virtue points, but being haughty about how separate you want to be doesn’t bode well coming from A PRODUCT OF CROSSOVERS AND UNIONS.
I remember I have been befriended a Brazilian girl a year ago and she asked me if i think there is also racism towards white people. I said that I think that would exist (I'm white from Germany and she is black from Brazil) and she went mad and told me that white people never have suffered through racism. I was confused and this video shows truly that not only black but also white and people from other countries and etc have suffered through racism. Racism goes all the ways and not just one.
I don't think she feels superior. Quite the contrary, I think that she is well aware of the stereotype of black women being statistically the least desirable, perhaps she sees those inferior qualities in herself and cannot find the drive or power to change that, so she has to lash out at women that, in her own view, are taking her place. Because if she was going for the superiority POV, i.e. racism, then she would also disprove of white man with black woman relationships.

As a black woman this is not due to her parents. This is actually something that's happening a lot in our black community. No matter where you from and your background some black women feel jealousy when they see white-black relationship. My mom, my female black friends revealed to me how bad it is to see this kind of relationship each time we see one on the street passing by. It's a mindset for many.
Because it is know that black women are activists. And also they want that their homologue black men should not date in their opinion a white woman in order to prove their standard of being beautiful: a black woman is superior. So if they find a man's dating a white one, they would feel betrayed. At the end, they would interpret it wrong into : " so this white girl is a win-win for him because she means success".
I should say also it's common in black communities again.
Never forget that a woman is a woman. She wants to feel beautiful no matter what.

That being said, I can’t believe black women would feel jealousy over who randos date! Black women are so often naturally stunning and men are worse than women in every ethnicity so why would they even care?! If I were black I’d be way more pissed about the horrible chemicals in hair relaxers and the targeting of planned parenthood(I’m pro choice obvs tho) than whatever dudes are doing. I sincerely hope this feeling dissipates among black ladies and we can all finally embrace sisterhood and not pay any mind to random men, no matter their colour.
