MANILA is obviously far more developed, wealthy and advanced for 15-20 yrs old to Hochiminh, Vietnam. i been to Hochiminh for business trip and i never saw single area which is really modern and developed that would compare to MaKati or BGC of MANILA.
🌟After Traveleing Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, Bonifacio Global City is much farther ahead in development, from what I have observed 🇵🇭❤️

Salcedo Village is awesome but I prefer Legazpi Village as it's got the elevated pathway leading to a chapel and a mall. I figure it's a nice exercise for me when I retire walking said pathway and around the mall. 1 mile of walk.

Not too many people on the streets. People are walking or chilling in the malls connected to each other 😊 There are Glorietta, Greenbelt, Landmark, Ayala and SM malls.

I am guessing that this was filmed on a Saturday by the lack of traffic but the giveaway at the end was the Salcedo market. I had to come back and edit this post. Makati is a bit more rustic, especially if you are in the Poblacion area after dark and are into nightlife. BGC is newer, much more refined, but a bit sterile. Highstreet Burgos circle area has more relaxed nightlife, while Uptown is higher end club atmosphere. When it comes down to it, I don't like city life and much prefer the province areas. With that said, the Philippines is a good central hub to the E. Asia and SE Asia regions, pretty much everything is 4 hours or less by air. Makati and BGC are simply convenient to NAIA and a good place to stay for a few days to shake off the jetlag, then jump to anywhere in the Philippines, or Asia, which is why I maintain condos in those areas.
🌟Yes, I filmed this video Saturday and Salcedo market I just found last minute, nice market to visit. I will be exploring some other areas /Islands around the Philippines which I have always wanted to see, so I am looking to these new adventures. 🇵🇭❤️

In addition to visiting BGC, you can explore Intramuros in the City of Manila. Intramuros offers a glimpse into the Philippines' history, as it was the center of Spanish colonial rule in the country. The well-preserved architecture of the buildings and structures in Intramuros gives visitors the impression that they have been transported to Europe or Spain in particuar. This is a result of the Spanish influence on the design and construction of the structures during the colonial era.

you saw one half of Makati CBD- which is Salcedo Village. The other half is Legazpi Village, and it's similar but has a slightly different feel. It has more shopping and restaurants. It has its own weekend market, but on Sunday. I think a lot of the same vendors from the Salcedo Market also go to Legazpi Market

The cemetery is beautiful in the world, perhaps beautiful than Arlington.
It's in BCG area adjacent to Makati.

You gotta check out the rooftop bars, cafes and restos in makati and BGC area sir during sunsets and thru the night you can see the great view of the well lit city skylines but make sure to go on a clear weather night.

Thank you. Go to bgc a city next to Makati where the American cemetery are located. Bgc is formerly Fort McKinley, name after America president mckinley. But near bgc there still mckinley hills, it's beautiful there

Ho Chi Minh is chaotic. I was there 2 years ago. Mga Filipino lang na sabik sa foreign country ang nagsasabi na maganda doon. Yung pagkain masarap talaga. Pero yung lugar nila marumi at madali kang masagasaan. Mga buildings nila halos same designs.
Medyo maayos daw sa Hanoi kasi malamig. Pero ndi nko nkapunta doon.

I’ve heard many nomads say get a second phone in case you lose your main phone which would be obviously nearly catastrophic. Do you just have one phone? Who did you get your eSIM through? I’m landing in Makati August 15.
🌟I get by with just one phone, but having a second not a bad Idea. I use Airalo which after doing much research and watching some videos on TH-cam was the way to go. I liked Airalo from start and had no issues with Sim, especially in Manila, during my El Nido travels I had some weak spots, but overall good choice. Safe travels in Makati!

A truly beautiful first impression video, including the perfect haul towards the end of chicken inasal, Philippine mangoes, and Turon, which is too many for one person (i'm a local and one or two pieces will suffice). The comparison, though, with Vietnam, isn't quite accurate in the sense that Makati is pretty deserted on weekends but can be very busy on weekdays (being the financial district that it is). Enjoy your stay.

When you get your cash see to it to watch people around you Theres lots of pickpockets in some places and for all you know some guys was following from the airport your footsteps and just waiting for an opportunity to take your cash Pickpocket criminals works in pairs or even 3 men I was victimized in philippones with my neice and didnt feel at all when he took my wallet

🌟No I signed up online before I left Thailand (Airalo) but you can get esim at the Airport. So far not having any issues with.
Which E sim card website did you use bro?
🌟I use the Airalo E Sim which worked out very well, I had solid service from Manila, Palawan and El Nido.
We live over at the St Moritz off of Chateau Rd, in McKinney Hills West, Taguig. I did a TH-cam video of the American/Manila Cemetery and Memorial across the street from us. You've got to get over there too. We even found one of Lorenas Filipino uncles names there!

kaya dapat manahimik ung mga ngsasabing "don't go to Manila". kaya gulat na gulat mga foreigners sa Metro Manila kc hindi sila sanay na may world class city sa Pilipinas. sanay sila makakitang third world cities pag dumadaan sa mga probinsya para mag beach. kaya imbes na pigilan sila pumunta sa Metro Manila, mag recommend kung saan magandang magpunta. mga uod talaga ung nagsasabing wag mag punta sa metro manila.
