what makes Makati a wealthy city is the fact that most international companies, bank, financial institutions embassies, corporations are located there. not to mention it only has a registered voters of only more than half a million voters.compared to its neighboring cities that counts unto millions. that means that their ratio budget for public needs and services are way bigger that they can even afford to cover all its residents health insurance plus a total free education from pre kindergarten to college not to forget a free weekly Cinema pass for all senior citizens plus the free yearly giveaway birthday cakes etc.

The goto area in Makati is the Ayala Triangle and Greenbelt Area. That tall building in Ayala Triangle has a small mall in the ground floor. Greenbelt has a small pretty park in between the mall network.

You guys were actually close, like two blocks away from Greenbelt, Glorietta and the newly constructed, One Ayala center, when Chris told you to go farther away towards Makati Ave. Makati avenue is an outskirt place for night clubs, bars, and yes, lots of restaurants too but obviously, that is not the place to go in a hot sunny daylight. I suggest to go back and explore the places I mentioned, if you still can.

    Philippines is a country
    Blessed with beauties of nature,
    A country that has
    Their own unique culture.
    Though we may think Philippines
    Is corrupted and poor,
But with all the problems it faced,
It was still able to endure.
Natural resources are also rich in this land,
With farmers who work hard, hand in hand.
They plow the field and harvest grains,
For our sake, they work in pain.

The Philipinnes is a country blessed wth tampat poverty, people living in tin , small huts , withg the rin rusty and blown away in storms, with bad sewage , electricity supply and water supply problems of dubious qualtity, it rates near the worse of corrupt countries, parks and facilities are rare and the roads are congested and full of traffic, the method of toll booths makes the traffic a worse nightmare and there is not much to do to entertain .

Back in the early 80’s, Makati was the main attraction to visit. Many high end shopping centers, high rises, condominiums and the lastest trend in hotels, businesses and modern architecture. SM Makati was very popular and lots of Filipinos go there occasionally because it was the lastest trend going on back in the 80’s. Average Filipino family cannot afford to go to SM like the rich folks or foreigners. It used to be Shoe Mart. Now SM is all over the country selling top merchandises and best top notch malls.😊
