I lived in this village for 6 months back in 2017 I can’t believe somebody uploaded a video of it! I can’t thank you enough for uploading this, it’s brought back so many happy memories for me! I’m happy to see the faces of my old friends too! Edit: I’d also like to add as you discussed the temple was having work done, it’s actually changed so much since I was there, it had many rooms and I can see some of the temple has been taken down it was actually quite big before.
oh great! Glad you enjoyed it! I would love to go back, i had such a good time there. Whatever work was planned at the temple stopped - I think the plan was just to make it a little safer but right now it is apparantly the same as it was a couple of years ago.
beautiful sight. BTW, technically 回龙观 is not exactly “returning dragon temple” but "the temple where dragon looks back". "回龙" is a word used in FengShui terms, derived from '回龙望祖"(the dragon is looking back at its ancestor). It's used for describing a landscape where a straight mountain range (the dragon) suddenly turns to the other direction. So, you can see many "回龙" in different addresses.
Wow u r still enjoying your Wudang journey, waiting for more of ur videos it's a fantastic view of the moutain of Taoism , you can feel the harmony ,joy of calmness . Btw your haircut just fits here perfectly XD
Great video, the simplicity of the village were all caught in your lens. Thx for your efforts not to miss your drone shots that will add another dimension too.
Was that you @5:49? Nice view! You do sit like a martial arts master in the picture :) Interesting village, there doesn't seem to be any sign of children. Just curious, how are these elderlies supported?
Yes that was me! there were children studying in the school when i arrived but they soon went back to their hometowns for spring festival. The village is basically just elderly people. I guess their children are working in the city
It is a great video, such a beautiful and peaceful tiny village. I saw the power cable, so I assume there is power supply. But I am not sure about the internet, if you can use mobile, probably you can access internet as well.
Hi. Could you tell me if the mist in the mountains was pollution or just water vapour? Could you tell me whether the air quality up there is good? Thank you!
Ming dynasty is the one that had the most ridiculously hilarious emperors in China's history, hahaha. Zhu Houzhao was undoubtedly the most criticised for his life style, yet he was very good at fighting wars.
i think they will restore the temple.. and turn that village into a money making enterprise.. it's pretty.. and millionaire from the city can easily fixed all the old building at little cost.. before you know it that village will be famous..
idk if this would actually happen to this temple ,and I'm not sure whether it would be good or bad for the villagers . u can see lots of the houses here r mainly mad by mud ,they may be eager to have more income to improve their living conditions , meanwhile we outsiders hope them/the village just hang there holding the " traditions“ IMO it's complicated ,not some " black or white" . It's a pity that some beloved traditions r disappearing during development , however I hope it could be solved well ,in this case I suppose Taoism may enjoy a more calm life ,not sure about the villagers

4g signal was pretty good actually, the school had wifi...but it wasn't particularly good.

Is there a holy well in wudang temple from which to drink and cleanse yourself
Hi.
Could you tell me if the mist in the mountains was pollution or just water vapour?
Could you tell me whether the air quality up there is good?
Thank you!
Just clouds and mist. The air quality is great in the mountains

You know those houses weren't built like that right? They started off as brick if you can believe it.
Don't forget to speak OUT of sync when you're doing the voice over and watch your head when you're jumping 20 meters high in the air. 😏😁
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Nick, we'd love to invite you to visit Chengdu: 熊猫基地,都江堰,三星堆!How to send you an invitation for detail? Thank you
Hi Heidi, not really sure what you have in mind - but you can send an email to me - nickthynne@gmail.com :D
