  • As I’m coming up on 1 year onboard my 2020 Ducati Panigale V2 I thought it was about time that I made a long term review including all the positive and negative things about the baby Ducati Panigale.

    Man, very similar to me... save for I knew I wanted another sportbike.
    I lusted after the 916 but thought of buying a monster as a beginner in the 90s.
    Owned a 90s ZX7r in the 2000s was my best bike...
    Now I can afford a Ducati and am ready... so excited!

    I see the V2 as the "working man's Panigale." A Ducati sport bike for the rest of the us. I do wonder why they charged you to check the battery issue as that should have fallen under the factory warranty.

    Much of what you say you like about the V2 is the same so feel for my S1000RR. I prefer the sound of the 4 banger vs the double stroke, but I do like the sexiness of the red machine. Although I don’t think there are too many times I go out to ride and someone doesn’t stop me to talk about the Beemer. Great vid.

    great review! but the part about 1l with power above 200 HP is a bit misleading, because the V2 with 155 HP is more of a sports motorcycle than a supersport ;)

  • @Michael-y2x7o

    100mph in second gear isn't due to being quick, it's due to tall gearing. Shorter gearing would actually make this number lower but the bike quicker. I test drive bikes for a past time. Good video otherwise!

    • @love2fight205
      @love2fight205 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically you’re right, being able to achieve 100mph in second gear isn’t due to the bike being quick, it’s due to it being fast. Quick means something accelerates rapidly, fast means something can achieve a high rate of speed.

  • @MsBigrockstar
    @MsBigrockstar ปีที่แล้ว

    $2200/year for insurance? How bad is your driving history? I’m paying about $500/year

    • @BurtoniMotors
      @BurtoniMotors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Perfect history. Own my home, own my truck, paid cash for all my motorcycles. Michigan is one of the most expensive states to insure anything. My insurance is also maxed out in every way.

  • @saiphul

    I'm curious, why did they charge you for the battery issue? Wouldn't that be taken care of under warranty?

  • @GregoryHipps

    Interesting you mention insurance. I’ve got a 2019 Speed Triple RS, which fairings aside, is a comparable bike in terms of performance, tech, and price. My insurance on the Triumph is 240/year. I ordered a V2 and the insurance would be 11x that with the same company (Allstate). Found a reasonable quote elsewhere, but the sticker shock was nearly a deal breaker.

    • @BurtoniMotors
      @BurtoniMotors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think it’s always important to discuss insurance with these bikes. I understand the insurance company needs to make money, but it’s insane that my truck, home, and Royal Enfield insurance are the same price as my Ducati.

    • @GregoryHipps
      @GregoryHipps 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. It is important. I've never paid more than $300 a year for good coverage on a motorcycle. When I saw $2,600 on my quote I thought they made a mistake. Got a few other quotes and landed one around $700 - which is still almost triple my current rate, but not insane. I bet these get stolen a lot in Florida (where I live).

    Dude, no offence like, but that thing is a sports bike and as nimble as anything; u cross over the double lines many many times man……..? Take care when u ride man, if Someone crosses over in a car the same amount ur doing and at the same time, then they will picking your remains out of the sheet metal of that vehicle. Are you a new rider……..?
