    The panigale v4 doesn't compete in motogp. It's a production bike, so it competes in World Superbike Championship.

    This is one of those bikes where I fall head over heels over the looks and salivate over the sort of power it produces, but my typical practical self, especially when spending this kinda money...keeps me from ever considering a bike like this. I might be able to justify it if I went to the track but I don’t. The purchase would literally just be for me to lust over it and do nasty things to it in the garage late at night 😅 Hell though...what is life if you don’t shut Mr. Practical up once in a while and live a little.

    I think something like the V2 makes more sense on the street than a full on, 200+hp liter bike, in my view. more usable, more tractable.

    101 to 405 north to 118 to 210 to Sunland Blvd to Jack and the Box and 7/11 go left and have the best time ever on dozens of miles of canyons. Lol

    Respectful suggestion: Do some track days so your more comfortable riding a sport bike like it should be ridden. Short stroke V-twins don’t like sub-3k rpm’s.

Bunch of other mods like clear clutch cover, fender eliminator, Ducabike brake/clutch levers and foot levers, passenger delete and more. • @cyclopes859
      @cyclopes859 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly one of the Japanese bikes is probably the best option for for a first bike. They're cheap and parts are easy to come by so if anything happens if they're easier to fix and maintain. The big four are Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki

    • @redm3red
      @redm3red 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would suggest nothing above 600 cc for first bike. Practice and take classes and improve your skills. If you really want anything above a 600CC make sure you are really good at riding and not just on freeways and canyons but slow speed maneuvers like U turns, swerving etc

    • @user-kd2of1ed2v
      @user-kd2of1ed2v 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Neither. Definitely get a 300 or 400cc bike as your first bike, since it'll make ownership less stresseful and you'll actually get to practice pushing the bike to its limits. If you're really tall and heavy, you could consider a 650 (ninja 650, sv650)

    • @colinoz
      @colinoz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Supersport is better for a beginner, but who buys a Ducati as their first bike?? Agree with most comments. The Honda CBR650 and Yamaha R7 are great. They're more stable at highway speeds. I found lower capacity bikes too small and outgrew them quickly.. I disagree with any 600cc supersports being good first bikes, too much power and no rider aids, such as ABS etc.

    • @dopeboyp3487
      @dopeboyp3487 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      22yrs ago my first bike was a 2000 CBR 929, and I don’t regret it. I learned on a 99’ CBR F4, and I knew I would outgrow it sooner than I wanted. All bikes are dangerous, and you could be hurt or killed on a smaller machine with fewer CC’s. I say take a cycle class, get whichever bike you love and can afford, respect it’s power, and practice often. Never settle… Live your dreams!!!
