The model reviewed was a 6-speed manual model which revs up to 112 bhp and it took to the road like a duck in water, its weighty body not holding it back. In fact, it feels more like you’re driving a car than a large van with power and pull not coming at the expense of being too loud.

What length and height is this? I get the impression that biggest possible is L4H3 which is extra long wheel base (L4) and extra high (H3), however I have struggled to track many of them down, so I am wondering what this van is?
It is not the suspension that is bad it is the really bad roads in the UK that are the problem.

Tom here: They certainly are. Top-quality spec and tech. Bit of bounce on the back suspension, but nothing that won't stiffen up under load.

How good are these new sprinter to compare with the new VW Crafter? 4 months ago i bought the new crafter and I'm very happy with it.
Tom here: The Sprinter's cabin tech is amazing, but without that it's basically a Crafter in terms of size, use case, etc...
What happens to the cupholder is that your cup (bottle?) is TEXAS size....and in Europe we drink espresso and cappuccino and the cups are smaller ;-)
I had order a van and it never came so I just forgot about and didn’t want it anymore
What's the weight of the van? Just the van, no load, no trailer.

I think Vanarama missunderstood your question. 2161 kg for the RWD, you can load up 1339 kg of camper stuff.
Do the rear doors open all the way like the old sprinter?
I cannot see the point in too much emphasis on Style... The focus and energy should be on reliability and longtevity and robustness.... things like comfort safety and style should automatically fall in place .....
Tom here: You make a great point - but that's what they're pushing in terms of marketing message with this big van.
Anyone else think the volume when on the phone via Bluetooth is really low. Needs an update.
Tom here: I worked out you need to fiddle with your phone's settings to boost the volume.

There's no other options to boost the call volume.. It is terrible, when driving at higher speeds I literally can not hear the person on the phone. I'm now using headphones if on the phone.
It’s the dashboard from the A class,nothing special.The nice big info screen is a £2000 extra!
Tom here: Absolutely, but if you lease it, that extra cost gets absorbed into your monthlies. You CAN have it all!
Don't understand car reviewers complaining about USB c port on a expensive car. Cables are cheap.. if you can afford the car you can afford the cable.
Tom here: When I reviewed this van - well over 2 years back - the USB-C connections were relatively new and most people were still using mini USB connections. Just adding some context... I had hair in this video, I don't these days.
Plus point compared to Transit: reliability - my last Transit spent weeks at a time in the dealer when under warranty.
Minus points: driver comfort - awful audible alarms for almost everything, seatbelt difficult to grab as it's too close to the pillar, seatbelt too high, chaffs the side of the neck, entry steps too narrow make it easy to fall when getting in or out, cup holders too far forward, heating and fan controls fiddly, clock doesn't display before ignition is on, interior motion sensors on alarm too sensitive - alarm is always going off, very awkward position of 12V socket, USB-C only... need I go on?
Tom here: That's a pretty comprehensive list there. Sounds like this van really isn't a good fit for you. Might be time to try out a PSA Group large van like the Relay, Boxer or Movano. What do you think?

@@vanaramauk Thanks - the Transit (2016 L4 H3) was way nicer to drive, but I wouldn't go back as reliability was the worst I ever had. The van spent a total of 8 weeks (on and off) in the dealer with warranty issues that included 2 new turbos in under 32000 miles! Maybe I just had bad luck with that one.
@@michaelstephen819 Tom here: That sounds like bad luck to me, but that isn't the point. You had a bad experience, which is what you'll remember from it. Luckily, there are plenty of other large vans to choose from one and I hope you find a good one that suits you to the ground.

dont buy this van for for international transportation.he is very uncomfortable with living in it. small, awkward luggage compartments, their lack, it is difficult to get into the cargo compartment, as the standard cheap version has no humiliation, etc. :) this auto only for local transportation.
you don't get handles when you open the side door? to help getting in? Ford all the way

Thats because the transit has a HUGE step to get in and out. Had one as a demo after 10 loads through the side door i was done. Glad to get back into sprinter

Just hope it's not rusty in 4/5 years like its predecessors , very expensive to own and run !

I think the thousands of operators would beg to differ... you pay for the 3 spokes, the luxury and the tech. It's not to everyone's taste, but it's a solid van!
@@vanaramauk sprinters used to be a solid, not these days. I'm using new sprinter on a daily basis and one of the vans we have, after 5k miles door handle broke 🤔like u said not everyone taste 👍

@@vanaramauk I got a 2019 new sprinter at work, a 316 CDI. of course, the cheapest option, without all the adverts, but even that would not save. Protect it, Lord. Yes, technically good, it's fun to ride and so on. But when I work with him on long-haul flights, there is no place to put things, space is small, the seat is seamless, uncomfortable to reach under it. . For any added convenience you have to pay crazy money. even if there is no staircase to enter the cargo compartment, you have to buy for 170 euros. So now you have to climb the chair. The door should knock firmly, otherwise it won't close (but here's the problem for all mercedes). a lot of those inconveniences. ventilation openings from the cargo compartment to the cab - just a genius solution. There is no niche in the cargo compartment to make up items. I would definitely not buy it if you were going to live in that car. this auto only for local trips and no more. it looks like the designers made this car out of the ass.
