- This is a Knuckles playthrough of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles for the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis.
Playing as Knuckles in 3&K offers a slightly different experience to playing as Sonic - while he can't jump as high and his ending is cut short, he can glide and climb walls, and has additional sections in various levels that Sonic is unable to reach.
As with the Sonic run, in this video I cover all 14 special stages needed to unlock the Super and Hyper forms.

this run has a separate story. after Sonic and Tails left, one of Eggman's robots starts causing havoc on Angel Island and it's up to Knuckles to stop the hunk of scrap.
That’s why I believe CD takes place After the Sonic run of S3&K, as Eggman isn’t present in the Knuckles run. As well as Metal Sonic being the latest model of the Metal Sonic Line.

@@TronicSSJ07there are still 2 problems with this theory. Knuckles’ story takes place right after Sonic’s story which means Eggman couldn’t have enough time to already build Metal Sonic. Also, Mecha Sonic II is clearly supposed to be more advanced than Metal Sonic but failed. If not for Knuckles who destroyed him, he would have been back and probably even more powerful than Metal Sonic. The other problem is that Sonic Origins already confirmed that Sonic CD takes place before Sonic 2. So I think Sonic 2’s Mecha Sonic is just an earlier concept Eggman created before Metal Sonic that he was forced to use since Metal Sonic was missing. That means that yes, Mecha Sonic II is kind of a combination between Mecha Sonic I and Metal Sonic without actually using any parts of Metal Sonic.
@@litavbarer-kahana5509 That's where Triple Trouble (16-bit) comes in. Metal Sonic was in this and It's likely that all the Mechas from 2, 3 and Adventure 1 were built first, and then Metal Sonic was created and all were built on the Death Egg.
@@TronicSSJ07 Triple Trouble 16-bit, as good as it is as a game, is still a fangame. So unless it really works with the continuity of the other Sonic games it doesn’t work. And it doesn’t. Sonic Triple Trouble was called “Sonic & Tails 2” in japan because it comes after the events of Sonic & Tails (Sonic Chaos). So what I found out is that in Triple Trouble Sonic meets Knuckles for the first time (he’s referred to as a stranger in the Japanese manual). How to make sense of it? Well, it’s a different timeline I called the “Lost Timeline” and it leads to the destruction of the world by Iblis. But thanks to the time-travel in Sonic CD, we get the “Earased Timeline” in which the 8 bit games don’t happen and instead we get the 16 bit entries (which I managed to also include some in the Lost Timeline but in a different manner).

This guy is gooooood! I was fairly good back when i had my sega but this guy is making me look amauture. On the flip side i am loving re living my weeks of fun the only thing is i always did the blue spheres differently so his way is driving me mad😂 sonic and knuckles forever!

So, that mad scientist, Dr. Robotnik lied to Knuckles by making false rumors about Sonic is stealing not only the 7 Chaos Emeralds, but also the Master Emerald which is the source of power for the Angel Island (better known as the Floating Island) and that big, fat tub o' lard Robotnik is using the Knuckles to keep Sonic busy and steal the Master Emerald, not if Sonic can help it.
