Very good job I'm 83 years old and drove a truck for 55 years you have a my respect you are right slow and steady always wins safe trucking Jerry in Idaho USA
Well I, for one, like your new Pete, Doug. I especially like "seat cover". What a cutie! That'll make the long, boring trips a lot better. Bon chance, mon brave!
I used to change the clutch in those trucks in under four hours as a heavy equipment mechanic of 20 years for the federal government. I've operated monster Caterpillar quarry trucks, dozers, cranes, excavators and everything in between along the way. Now i'm retired and playing ATS. 🙂I admire your patience and Can Do attitude. Great channel, 5 Star Transport.
Congratulations on the new truck and especially the new puppy. "Fred" I had a basset hound "George" and he came with me everywhere LOL He actually loved going canoeing with me as I was fishing. Watching the whole video I can tell Fred is going to be a great friend and companion and you never know he might talk back to you in his own way :-)

Stress, stress oh so stressful! The trouble with Lucky Banana videos is I get sucked in, I’m right there with you, and man it’s a good job you’v got “Quackers No.8” keeping a good look-out over everybody! But you’ve got to get the pup some Sun-block for his nose out the window!? He’s lovely, glad to be with his dad out on the road! Oh super truck glad it’s worked out so well! So another fantastic video over and as I’ve said it once already KOT!
Nice looking truck ! Back in 1979 my dad custom ordered his truck from Peterbuilt it had a 3408 Cat with 18 speed he had a chrome swan up on the grab handle of the hood ! Looking out your windshield it's naked up on that grab handle you should add your own touch of class to that classy looking Peterbuilt !! A chrome swan would look awesome !!!
Doug, thank you so very much for these videos. I am watching this as I sit by myu daughters bedside, after surgery from a stroke. So young. This video gave me a respite from the things I have been dealing with. I look for your videos. Thank you for the supreme effort, and just know you made my day. God Bless.
Congrats on the long hood! Man I miss having a manual. These new auto's just don't feel like trucking anymore. YT let me know last week about your channel. So happy they finally did!
What is called a real trucker you're very humble you're very kind you know how to drive say the least .. and that's a badass truck I love the colors keep up the trucking and the videos great job!!!
Happy to see you finally have your own mule. Let's hope in the near future you earn more and have a successful future with your pup. Make memories Doug. When you get to my age you'll realize what I mean.
I'm also a truck driver, but i drove a small 8,5 tones Mitsubishi. I love to watch how overload loads are transported. It's just pure magic. Shoutout to overload truckers from USA. Shoutout from Poland.
All the other traffic is so chill. How many folks in this video were just going about their day when suddenly you show up with this big boy in all its glory. If I was stopped because you needed to roll through an intersection I'd feel like I'd scored free tickets to a show. "Oh you want me to wait five minutes while you pull out in your beautiful truck hauling massive trailer? Don't mind if I do!" Every time your cab rolls from the torque as you accelerate makes me marvel at the engineering that makes this stuff possible. Great video. Love the truck. Amazing crew. Cute doggo! Keeping living your best life mate. Thank you.
You need to love what you do and be proud of what you do. With all the risk and stress it doesn’t make sense to only do this for the money. If your heart isn’t in the job you won’t last in this game
Congratulations on the doggie! Very jealous you have a job where there is room for such a buddy in "your office". Will enjoy falling asleep to his video and then rewatch it tomorrow to make sure I didn't miss anything 😅
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 More like "soothing" - I know exactly what's going to happen: Truck that is long/wide/tall/heavy (sometimes all at once) makes its way from point A to B safely. I particularly enjoy whenever you have to stop traffic from multiple directions to make a corner. Best so far is still the right turn onto Woodroffe (th-cam.com/video/CJMpjjOWAfg/w-d-xo.html)

Hi Doug. Love your new truck, and the colour scheme. And your lovely bassett hound, he's gorgeous. The reason I don't have one is because I do prefer cats, mainly the Mainecoon variety. I have a cat that's 23lbs (13kg) in weight. I always promised myself that I'd get a bassett and name him Fred, as we have a cartoon strip in the Daily Mail, which apparently has been running for over 60 years. And its basically about what the dog thinks about his owners. The pyramid looks amazing. Could spend a week in there just browsing. Have to smile at Fred, looks to be teething😊. We too have a pyramid in Stockport, and the flights coming into Manchester Airport use it as a marker, as its part of the flight path as the planes come in. Bad day when its market day and you have to drive a big rig through the middle of it, It was bad enough when my hubby took a wrong turn, we ended up right in the middle of a market in a French town. Hardly any room to turn around. It wasn't good🤣. Normally, the local police close down the local streets so it wouldn't happen, but not on this occasion. The pilots were brilliant, especially Elka(?), she was awesome at her job. That's the type of job I would love to have done way back.
Congratulations on your new rig and your new furry family member, I hope you enjoy many safe years and miles together. Always enjoy your videos , your jobs and your professionalism. Thank you !

Doug...congrats, on your new Pete, becoming an Owner/Driver and continuing with Bellemare Transport. I had to laugh, when you happily said "I love it" after the tight turns in Mt. Vernon....that's exactly what I would exclaim after some tight manoeuvers within similar rural city detours with the mobile cranes & boom dollies I used to deliver. (too bad, I didn't have any fancy go-pros, insta360's or drones....it would have made for some great shots too). Speaking of cameras.....have you ever driven away, forgetting the camera on the tri-pod? I was wondering about that as you did the truck-stop maneuvering "show" in West-Memphis. One last thing, if you ever hook up to a flat-bed or van-semi trailer, with landing-gear brackets....be very careful about the shiny tail-light bar of your tractor, when making turns:....back in early 1990 when I bought my 2nd truck (Navistar 8300) at Cornwall Truck Center, I also had them install such a chrome tail-light bar...so after picking it up at the dealer, I happily bob-tailed up to Alexandria in my new ride to hook-up a loaded tri-axle van trailer and when I made the right-turn from 34 onto 43, I heard a nasty "crunch".....crumpled light-bar!!! (it was the dealer's error, so they replace it....but just judging from the few shots in your video....IMHO, you might incur the same problem (the light-bar idea still works, but they have to be in sections, and the ones that act as mud-flap brackets, must be mounted a bit more forward (1 inch) and cannot be as wide as the duals....or you mount the full-width bar below the frame-rails, but not flush with the frame-rail ends....to get more clearance (that is what I ended up doing).
Congratulations!!! Impressive. And that pup is adorable. Took care of a family that had one named "Lightening". The very best to you and your new friend.😊

@danishpuma unfortunately the US (especially northeast) is full of low bridges and narrow lane construction zones
If it wasn't for the wacky reroutes to avoid highway maintenance (and such) we would probably get less interesting video out of it.
