Thanks so much for filming and sharing! My husband finished right at 4 hours and like you said once you stop peddling hypothermia starts to set in. Again thanks so much for sharing your video.
Well done, the conditions looked terrible, rain and cold probably the worst you can ask for wind chill, ouch. another great video thanks for sharing your ride.
Cold weather bothers me a lot even I live in a sub-trophical area but seeing you guys overcome this made me feel a little bit more confident about myself. Appreciated.
For me, being cold on the bike sucks. Being cold AND wet is beyond miserable. Yet, I ride year-round in all-weather conditions because, well, I'm not fond of the indoor trainer. 🤣 Sorry you both experienced a challenging, miserable ride. Glad you made it okay and hope there wasn't any lingering issues due to possible hypothermia. Thanks for sharing, sir 🍻
Enjoy your videos. Just realized we were in the Sprinter van parked next to you guys that morning. Was wife and my first gravel race. Quite a cold, memorable experience. See ya down the road!
For sure, I usually try include it in the show notes but missed it this time. I just added, but is: Lars Eriksson - (Stay) True Zorro - Trophy Wife Blood Red Sun - Thriving Seas
Thanks for sharing, Cheers!
Thanks for watching!

It was a grind to the end for sure, thanks for watching!
Cold and rain = miserable rides but don't forget, winter miles = summer smiles 😉
I rarely smile in summer heat haha!
I got cold just watching. Keep it up, looking forward to the up comimg content.
It did take a few days to warm up, thanks for watching!
Nice seeing a special appearance from Gerard!
It was great to get to hear from him about the history of the event!
Nice to meet you before the start. Hope next we meet it will be over freezing. Also, thanks for the sticker.
Likewise, hope you had a good ride and hope to see you out there at another event sometime soon!

Thanks Karl, win some and lose some with the weather I guess. I still think I prefer it to extreme heat at some summer events. Thanks for watching!

Awesome, you certainly did end up with quite the experience for your first one! Was your van the one with the pop-up top? Looked pretty awesome.
Yep. That was us
Looked like a great van!
@@backofthegravelpack thank you! We like it a lot.
I think I saw you all. It was a great 20 then a cold and wet 20 but overall a good time.
Indeed, that first half was great like it always is. Second half was a good chance to test out the cold weather gear haha.
Any chance you can post the music artists?
