"I just ate a bug..." Classic! Looked like a brutal event and well done finishing! You kept the cranks turning! Not sure if I could've done that ride. I may start carrying a small bottle of Coke on long rides, just in case. Thanks for sharing!
Outstanding effort, congratulations on finishing. The route looked beautiful and brutal in equal measure. Thanks for putting these out, always inspiring.
This time of year, sounds like a good idea to finish the race before noon when it is really hot. Glad you were safe on that one. I am not sure I want to ride on those roads at night. I am glad to see I am not the only one walking my bike.
Ahh great question. I ended up bringing a small battery pack to keep my Wahoo going. I think it was starting to run low about halfway through so I plugged it in. Only issue was that I got my screen light up setting a little bit wrong. It would light up before a turn, but only stay lit for a few seconds so it would turn off before the turn, which was a bit of a pain. Overall though, navigation wasn't an issue for me.

Coke has saved my bacon quite a bit lately. But I think being ice cold is a crucial part of it.

Thanks Andrew, glad you enjoyed it!
Good job! I did the 30 miler and it was beautiful!
Right on David, hope you enjoyed it.
Congrats on finishing! I did the Daybreak route and I thought that was tough. The climb at 16:50 was gnarly.
Thanks TJ. That climb was a kick in the pants right at the end for sure. I think we did that one on unbound, but seemed worse this time.
Officially a finished adventure!
Barely!
Very proud of ya man. Great job fighting through the night! 💪🏼💪🏼
Stopped crying myself to sleep, so I think that means I'm recovering?

If walking your bike is cool, consider me Miles Davis!
@@backofthegravelpack It may not seem cool but it gets the bike over the hill.
Awesome ride ! Great video!
Thanks CJ
Good work. Looked rough.
Thanks man, it was a bit of a slog at points.
Nice hard work . Much different than unbound . How did you work navigation? Did you have a couple units due to battery length ?

I hope you had more lights than just your helmet light
I did.
