dude I am not embarrassed at all to say this video has me sobbing tears of joy, I LOVED this video and can't wait to try a gravel event myself! From the back of the pack!
Saw you out there a few times on course and gave you a cheers after while you were drinking on the bench back in Stillwater. Beautiful views out there, great video.
Ottawa bike and trail hat! That's local to me. Great vid. This will be my first season of racing I'm looking forward to enjoying the view from the back!
@@backofthegravelpack thanks for the reply sorry my first comment didn't make much sense this will be my first season off racing in about 8 years. That's why I'm looking forward to the view from the back of the pack
Great video and great ride!! Congrats on a strong finish. The single track section was epic!! I did my first century ride and loved every second of it, even as slow as I was
Great coverage of the event. Like your perspective of the race and how your feeling during it. Look forward to seeing you both this year as we are filling out our ride/race calendar for 2024. So far we are entered in unbound, FoCo Fondo, SBT gravel, and Salida 76. Maybe Kowtown gravel. Keep the videos coming.🎉
Much appreciated! We will be at Unbound, didn't get in to ride but will likely film, sag, etc. We will also be at SBT to ride, maybe Salida again, and for sure Kowtown. Make sure you comment on our instagram post to qualify for a free KowTown entry if you haven't already. And make sure to say hello if you see us at any of those events!
Great video again! This one is definitely on my wish list! There is no shame in the 50m distance. My sweet spot and preference is for the 40-80km distance, as it's enough distance to be out of the regular (every day 25km), but not so much that I can't enjoy the the three B's after: beer, burgers and buddies! On year, one race I hope our tires meet at the start line. Maybe this one next year?
Thanks John, I don't disagree. I like a very hard physical challenge now and then, but it doesn't have to be every weekend. I'm pretty sure we will be back down there next year, so hopefully we can finally enjoy the three B's together!
My brother convinced me and his best friend to enter Midsouth. I was hoping that I wouldn't get in, but I did. But, it was canceled about a month before the race because it was the start of Covid. I wasn't looking forward to all of the thick, sticky mud. He hasn't brought it up again so far. Nice you had good weather and didn't have to deal with a lot of mud.
Great video! Nothing like a little Oklahoma drama to get the adrenaline going. Planning to be there next year in van. How did the camping work? Assume you had to reserve and pay for that spot? Thanks for sharing!
It no doubt got me moving! The camping was a bit of a free for all, there was one small parking lot marked for campers, but it was pretty much full when I got there on Thursday and I barely squeezed into a spot. There were plenty of other campers and vans in other lots and on the streets for much of the weekend though, so I think in the end everyone found a place somewhere.
Great video man. Always a pleasure watching your content.
I appreciate that Chad!
I'm the guy right in front of you in the jorts. thanks for capturing the day. it was a beauty!
Excellent hope you enjoyed it!
Well done! Great coverage of MID-SOUTH.
Thank you Frank!

Really appreciate you saying that Hugo!
Thanks so much for posting this!!! Great event and way to go!!!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve done the 100 the past 3 years. Thinking about the 50 next year to be able to enjoy it with my wife and take in more of the event. Great video!
Appreciate that. I really enjoyed the day on the short route. It was a nice change of pace to my usual midsouth experience
Fantastic video!!! Love Mid South!!
Thanks so much, and very much agree! We're hoping to finally make it up to Lincoln for Gravel Worlds this year.
Awesome video!! The Mid South is the spirit of gravel for sure.
Much appreciated Hope you had a great day out there too!
Nicely done look like fun
Indeed, thanks Jim!

Excellent! Congrats on your first 100! I really enjoyed the songletrack as well, perfect trail for a gravel bike.
Great video! The 50 mile course was awesome!
Thanks Greg!

AND! You met Jeremiah Bishop!!!

great vid, as always. But... really missed Cassie! Hope the cat is okay.
Me too! Cat is hanging in there.
Loved the interview with Jeremiah.
Appreciate that, so did I!
awesome video !
Appreciate that CJ!

Might be time for you to convince him to sign up again Dave!
You guys consider the Dust Bowl 100 in Indiana. Two climbs in it that can be issues but worth a try.
Not going to make it this year, but it is for sure on our list for sometime soon!
Nice Rich
Appreciate it

Mid south is special
No doubt!
50K is way easier than 5K...you don't get to eat PBJ sandwiches in the middle of 5Ks
This event was neither a 50k or a 5k, but I'll keep that nutrition advice in mind!
@@backofthegravelpack I think they had a 50K run a few days before the ride? Some did both: "double". I could be remembering the wrong video.
Oh 10-4, yea the double was that 50k run on Friday and a 100 mile bike on Saturday. That's a hefty two days!
