I had a lot of fun in that playplace growing up, it's cool to see a video showing it one last time. Thanks for sharing.
Wait you went to that same McDonald’s?
I used to play in the playplace in mcdonalds as well
@@TexasCarWashChannel626 they built new one on top
Damn..so sad to see it go, they got rid of most old buildings in my city, one was rebuilt with the playplace intact. And they reused the old toys R Us building under a new store brand. A modern mcdonald's with a playplace, now that's rare.
As a 2000's kid, that's the style of McDonald's I remember. Wish we would return to that type of architecture.
I lived in South Dakota as a child and we would travel to the cities to see family. We would always stop here and play. Later in life the family settled in Saint Peter. My first job was here as soon as I could legally get one. I cut my teeth in the job market and enjoyed my childhood just a little bit more because of this place. Thank you.
Wow, thinking about it me or my family has probably seen you over 20 times just coming to this McDonald’s. A lot of my family used to live in saint Peter. Just weird knowing that I have seen you in person before. I live in Texas know and very few of my family members still live in saint Peter
99% of children screamed when the playplace was getting demolished.
All the children cried when the PlayPlace got demolished
It got rebuilt
@@Dr1fTLeg3nd yea it was remodelled
Mcdonalds Playplace: I'm sorry but I'm leaving. Goodbye.
To bad. As a "child of the 90s", I think the old Mcdonalds design was much better than the current green one. Modernization does not always have to mean something positive.
Yeah I think McDonald’s I think mansard roof
I love this
Thanks so much man! We love your channel!
I've watched your videos dosens of times, this is my home town mc dons, and I'm am glad, you saw it.

The trucking company we used to work at is right up the street it’s called waletich and we stopped there a few times on the way there
R.I.P St. Peter McDonald's 1980-2021
No, the Saint Peter McDonald's restaurant is not gone forever. It had to be torn down because they had to remodel the Saint Peter McDonald's.
@@KodytheRedFox Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes ye yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees i happy it hahahahahahahahahahaha
and always dad im not aloud to type it at you
Why did they do this!? This was a great looking McDonald’s. Nice seating area and super big play area. No reason to tear it down.
They want it to look more modern
Joel Ogarrio it doesn’t have to be modern. As long as it works nothing has to change. The light fixtures in the dining area were very nice. The play area could still be the way it is if they remodeled the building instead of tearing it down. I’m glad when the remodeled my childhood McDonald’s the play area stayed the same. They could’ve done that here. The fact that they left the play area there for the bulldozers to demolish is just sick. McDonald’s tactics are stupid in a lot of places.
Hey it’s not my opinion. I said They want it modern.
But tbh I wished the old retail was still here.
McDonald's corporate mandated that all franchise owners update their restaurant to the new prototype, that's been around about 20 years in it's basic form. Originally they exempted some locations in smaller, more remote areas but two years ago with the switch to digital menu boards they ended the exemption.
This is what the lego people see when a set is destroyed to be rebuilt
I demolished my lego McDonald’s to.
I demolished My Cola-Cola too…
Oh my gosh, I love this video! Thank you for posting it.
I know I’m not a big fan of McDonalds but this is sad to see it get demolished making people who went to the location heartbroken 💔
@@chickenwing111They made it with Wood, uncool
LOL
they have a new location
Amazes me the number of companies who try to do demo and have no idea what they are doing.
Always a dead giveaway when you see a clown like this subjecting the boom to side loading it was never designed for. Say no more.
The little kid with his mummy: hey bulldozer, can you destroy the whole play place?
The bulldozer: yes whoever you are
What's really ironic is they fixed the ice cream machine that very morning.
your childhood has been shredded to bite-sized pieces
Definetly the playplace
That is a flimsy wood frame McDonald’s. All the old ones they tore down in Florida were made out of concrete block.
I have a 1970-71 McD’s in my hometown in New Jersey with original brick exterior. Wonder how that one was constructed? Disappointing to see that even 40+ years ago in 1980 this one was constructed with cheap materials.
Florida locations were probably built to withstand hurricanes
Update: they rebuilt it. It was for remodeling the building.
But they destroyed good looking building to build a next new building nonsense
Wait stop I left my kid in the play place
Sir your kid is dead now
That mf is GONE 🤣
Well your kid is dead
Bruh
Too late, he’s already dead
we where just driving buy this mc donolds as the tornado was coming over the hill
Dang, I had no idea they were doing this. I used to live in Le Sueur so we would stop here a lot. Anyone else remember playing that Elmo game in the playplace? Those controllers got so abused. 😆
Yep
My mom worked here
My X-Teammate always had fun as he had his Elmo toy from McDonald’s. At This Time He Got So Sad… Even His Toy Got Sliced With The Fur To Death…
The excavator driver when he’s done: I think I’ll eat at McDonald’s…oh wait…

What did you guys do with the play play stuff? Also the Apollo 11 thing did you destroy that I would be mad if you destroyed that
What is a “Apollo 11 thing”? Do you mean the rocket thing in the play place at 0:40
Im laughing so hard because the dramatic music lol.
Destroy a nice building & construct a little boxy piece of garbage
This building was from the 1980s. Hardee's when they wanted to renovate all locations had this mindset: "Renovate, or restaurant is gone". And keep in mind that when the building are 41 years old, there is 41 years of grease somewhere in there. Also, its more cost effective to build a new building as it will have a lower operating cost then an older building thats high maintenance. Be glad that they are rebuilding and not packing up and getting the fuck out.
True
@@benvoneschen656 they need to bring back the old look

That mustve been fun to watch
And they still have old tv
Imagine kids asking their parents how to used those old tv
I can’t believe no one saved/salvaged the Playplace sign. Dang!!!
McDonald's is pretty hardcore about preventing their branding from falling into private hands. The signage almost always goes down with the ship.
@@jonrev same with chuck e cheese
It is a shame that none of that stuff can not be re-used. Guess it is too much of a hassle/liability.
Anything that legally could be removed was. McDonald's has very strict procedures for demolition and removal. Thanks for watching!!
I was thinking the sa mn e thing
They removed the menu boards, and leftover food. Anything perishable was probably sent to the Waseca McDonalds as the same people own this McDonalds. McDonalds Corporation probably also doesnt want any of the outdated stuff like cash registers or decoration or tables to be reused. As new McDonalds do not have this type of booth seating anymore. The more expensive stuff like the appliances were also most likely removed because of what they cost.
Donald Duck’s demolition is at McDonald’s restaurant.
I’m sure there are plenty of people that would have been grateful to receive the unwanted booths, tables, and seating. It seems today a lot of places try to sell the stuff off and if they can’t sell it, they would rather destroy it than give it away. It’s really very sad. If there’s any concern of a liability, have whoever’s removing it sign a waiver.
NOOOOOOOO THIS IS A CLASSIC MCDONALDS WHYYY lol
