maan, as much as i agree, i just don’t think anybody would be able to play Lord Infamous, Koopsta nor gangsta boo, they were all unique in their own way, it’s gonna take a special someone to play them in a biopic
@@dauntebullbear9187 My point is that they were able to capture memphis in that way extremely well I’m sure the remaining three 6 can do it again for themselves.
@@rogeratwell2794 The only lyricist in three six is Gangsta Boo. Bone came out way harder. You can ask anyone who is more relevant between the 2 and they’ll say Bone Thugs.
As a teen living in Memphis in the 90’s, Memphis music was all we listened to… it’s like you feel blessed to have grown up during this time… hell i do 😅.. the sounds, the cassette tapes, it was all 🔥
People saying three 6 dont get the recognition they deserve usually dont even know about DJ Spanish Fly, DJ Squeeky, DJ Zirk, Tommy Wright III, Gimisum family etc its a damn shame
@@thaBootyologist I wouldn't go that far Paul and Lord been putting out work plus Paul sampling ear was way different from anyone else in Memphis js 😑😑✌✌
Three 6 Mafia is definitely one of the best rap groups (might be THE best in my opinion). Catalog, style, flows, production, all super influential. A lot of new songs you hear now have that 3-6 flavor in them.🔥💯 Long live Scarecrow, Koop and Gangsta Boo.🙏
This song transcends time. The fact the main melody sample despite being produced almost 30 years ago, still hasnt been found adds this mystery and aura to the track and it adds to the dreamlike and ethereal production it gives off. This also shows you how forward thinking these cats were. They were just teens making this but they changed music forever.
Juicy been underrated forever, project pat too.. them guys really don’t get the props they deserve, the flows, the melodies, the Memphis slang that has become popularized all over the country.. them boys are legends
!!!! Bro three6 paved the way man. The thing is with young people they don’t wanna recognise. They want the glory alllll to them selves but ya’ll influenced us lord please bless the fall angels in the group 🙏🏾
Always when I bump Koopsta or Triple 6 in general and people talk sht, I tell'em: if there was no Triple 6, your favorite artists probably wouldnt exist; the Memphis sound is almost in every damn genre nowadays
Can’t forget about their production either. I know they weren’t the only ones in Memphis doing it but they played a big role in creating that Memphis phonk sound and the backbone for trap
I remember the first time hearing three six mafia. I was in 6th or 7th grade back in 1996 or 97 and I had a mix CD with a bunch of random songs I got from a friend at school and one of the songs was slob on my knob. I remember having to hide this song from my parents I could only listen to it on headphones or blast it on my stereo system when my parents wasn't home. I remember one day after school I had it bumping on my new stereo system and my dad came home early and started beating on my bedroom door yelling TURN THAT GARBAGE OFF THAT SOUNDS LIKE SHIT!!! He was so mad but I thought it was so funny. Now that I'm older almost 40 I can see why he was so mad. Now that I'm older I've experienced all different types of music from every era even the classical stuff with Beethoven and Mozart and three six at the time had some dark content with explicit lyrics that was groundbreaking at the time. They where way ahead of there time and ever since I heard slob on my knob I became a huge fan instantly. They are still my favorite rap group of all time and still listen to them to this day. I really wish juicy would of been part of da mafia 6ix when they reunited 10 years ago. Now it's to late most of them have passed away. It's kinda weird that the 3 remaining members of the group where the last 3 that was still in the group years ago. Watch crunchy black will be the next one to pass away. RIP Boo, Koop and the bloody scarecrow lord infamous. 🙏

Bro my husband & I always play "what song is this flow from" when we listening to new music & sooooo many times its something related to 3 6. Been a fan since the beginning & the influence is endless from the beats to the flows
There had never been a Three 6 Mafia before, and there hasn’t been one since. They made all their own beats without outside producers, managed the group themselves, ran a label, everything. Southern rap owes it to the triple six…
My uncle been playin they underground shit when I was a little one. I knew real quick years later when this newer stuff would sample their beats or the “yeah hoe” n all that. Funny too cause when I played the old stuff my friends would make faces cause they weren’t rockin with it then
I gotta stay fly makes me emotional then I found the song they sampled! It’s a real ass song Willie hutch tell me why! Now I understand Dj Paul is a legend
Three 6 Mafia deserves a biography series like Wu Tang or Straight Outta Compton
maan, as much as i agree, i just don’t think anybody would be able to play Lord Infamous, Koopsta nor gangsta boo, they were all unique in their own way, it’s gonna take a special someone to play them in a biopic

Not just 3-6 but I Feel like Bone Thugs deserve one and UGK but as for a UGK Biopic the hardest part about it is figuring out who’s gonna play Pimp C
