Man.. I just can't get enough of your videos! Thank you for making all of this content available to everyone. You are a huge inspiration! I'm currently working on a project to start a multi-disciplinary cultural center in our city here in Enschede, Netherlands. Part of it is going to be a sustainability center to explore all of these things with a larger public, all of this is because of your videos! Just wanted to let you know, thank you! I think you are really making a change in the world and your approach in making these things accessible to people without in depth knowledge is amazing!
Nice! Now use the ball bearings in the fly wheel as the fluxing part of an axial flux generator. Magnets on one side of that fly wheel and coil or coils on the other side. Great thinking there Rob!
I like making it fully mechanical with this coming and going mechanism. You can tell how loud it is by how fast the wheel is turning. I suppose it could operate a switch that only runs when it's loud enough or lift something with a pulley.
Edison should have had a 3d printer. Edison kiboshed it. And that brings me to the other end of the spectrum Imagine what humans would have achieved if we did not concentrate our resources at the whims of people just because they are rich or famous?
I can imagine it. They would need a plastic and electronic industry to support it. And by our time maybe we would have plenty solutions more to contamination, that we wouldn't neither use. But also plenty of incredible and amazing gadgets in our every day life, that wouldn't think about it either exist because would be common thing.
Rather imagine the number of Edison and tesla we have managed to produce...so many inventions, ideas and technological progress we have already made across industries because of it
Just think of the amount of noise in a modern city. Or at an airport. This device might be able to generate practical amounts of energy in the right setting.
Love how this is coming together .. amazing way to add weight to the flywheel .. wondering what sound sources a person could use .. so you weren't yelling into it all the time. Seems like you could also use a cone-satellite type of dish to focus additional sound into the sound receiver.
I'm curious on what the output of something like this might be. I know there are piezoelectric dance floor tech out there, but if the tiles had these instead, it seems easier to manufacture and implement, even if deeper.
Awesome, imagine a circle of them working from a central gear, they're on bars that could be any length so you could add another ring of them and if you make the central part a barrel/tube shape you could add more sets vertically, limitless how far you could go with that design.
Don’t just sit idly by… attach a foot pedal to this mechanism and put it beneath your chain. Now you can power your device as you tap along watching these great YT videos!!!
That is really cool (amazing) So you kicked my inventive brain into gear , maybe connect a pendulum to it , I'm pretty sure that's the device I'm thinking of. But small efficiency to keep it moving. Thankyou Robert
I look forward to seeing how this would work as a generator. Nice idea! I may consider something like this when I build my second generator. Thanks Robert👍👍
Just put a big RED button on it and leave it in a public place, every one will push it becouse It's a button, MUST NOT PUSH THE RED BUTTON I CAN'T HELP MYSELF I HAVE TO PUSH IT and thus we have "The Impolsive Power Mechine"
I have a challenge for you Rob, I go fishing alot and for a month at a time ,there is a few problems with this but most I've found a solution to ,but there is 2 that still require a solution ,firstly the power problem I use a 60,000mah battery pack which lasts a week at best , the second problem is keeping meat fresh longer than 24 hours without a fridge or freezer ,you are a lot smarter than me ,I've probably hit my intellectual wall ,could you help me please ?
Imagine putting this apparatus into noisy areas like subways and such
I always get a kick outta your laugh, and your enthusiasm is contagious Robert. Keep on keepin' on brother!
Replace the bearings with magnets, alternating polarity. Mount a couple of (or a few) coils on the supports.
;-)
Fantastic! Just can't articulate how much I enjoy and appreciate your channel! So, suffice it to say....Thanx!

I'm always very much interested in your videos, I found your channel some time ago while looking information on portable hidro electric power plants
The new stairmaster that turns your workout into reduced energy bill! :D

Love that Seiko mechanism. One for the makers toolbox... 👍
Thanks for another great contribution to the internet!
You are such a supersmart legend robert! I love what you do and the genius is in how you articulate bothengineering and design!! 👏
Wow, thank you mate
This is lovely. Love the idea love the concept. Thankyou for the upload Robert!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I like making it fully mechanical with this coming and going mechanism.
You can tell how loud it is by how fast the wheel is turning. I suppose it could operate a switch that only runs when it's loud enough or lift something with a pulley.
That’s amazing. Love your work Robby u done it again. Very inspiring ❤
Can you imagine what Edison, Nikolai Tesla or James Watt would have achieved if they had a 3D printer.
Edison should have had a 3d printer.
Edison kiboshed it.
And that brings me to the other end of the spectrum
Imagine what humans would have achieved if we did not concentrate our resources at the whims of people just because they are rich or famous?
Can you imagine what they would have achieved if they had Robert? 😁
What about if they had worked together. Edison was an evil sneaky man. Greed and power tend to cause great technology to never come to fruitation
I can imagine it. They would need a plastic and electronic industry to support it. And by our time maybe we would have plenty solutions more to contamination, that we wouldn't neither use. WoW thats fantastic, hope you turn it into a small generator, love to see the handle spring loaded. Cheers Rob
my next job with this mate - i have to wait for the springs to arrive!
Just think of the amount of noise in a modern city. Or at an airport. This device might be able to generate practical amounts of energy in the right setting.
Great combo Rob! 👍
cheers mate

Thanks for that burst of good humor and creativity Rob. It’s always good to start the day with one of your videos.
lol - cheers mate

That laugh... Priceless
seems like simmilar mechanism is used in Holland in wind lumber mills to controll the feed of the log in to the saw
a ratchet and pawl is used in lots of mechanisms mate - a bicycle freewheel has one as does a socket spanner
Gotta love Rob’s enthusiasm!! 😂
Awesome, imagine a circle of them working from a central gear, they're on bars that could be any length so you could add another ring of them and if you make the central part a barrel/tube shape you could add more sets vertically, limitless how far you could go with that design.
I would put a few of your models on the store rob as many would love to buy and put together .
Put that into any road surface and hey presto...
That is amazing! With a single button push.
That’s awesome. Imagine a really heavy fly wheel once it’s spinning at desired rpm it would not take much to keep it spinning. At cost power
I would love to see this applied to a wave energy capture system. Sadly, I live in Phoenix, so the waves don't kick up much here.
I luv that you are turning a generator with RF! # Gerard Morin Development Update: Hyper Drive
Great video man!
Hey .. have you knowledge of Gerard Morin recently .. last I heard he was going to China .. then I heard nothing more!
@@MerwinARTist He is dead! I suspect foul play! He exposed much scams of the electric companies!
Brilliant, that Seiko mechanism + a generator could be attached to a walking leg for phone charging etc ;)
Might be a good way to turn the back and forth motion of a flag or sign in the wind, into energy.
You sir are a legend.
Ok. Now I want to see a 6 foot diameter wheel doing the same thing.
I wouldn't mind seeing that either - let me know when you have built it
obviously a lot of things could power this but the first thing I think of is water power without the need for dams
Bit of string attached to a tree and have your MBM hidden at side of the house, unobtrusive wind generator?
Don’t just sit idly by… attach a foot pedal to this mechanism and put it beneath your chain. Now you can power your device as you tap along watching these great YT videos!!!
Would make a great generator for a door bell. "Pump button to ring bell" :)
Oh boy. This would make a great foot pumped generator.
yes it would mate
That seiko mod is quite interesting. Really thinking about how it might improve those flywheel bus mechanisms etc.
Couldn't you have one magic link off set to another one on a hinge pulling or activating the other via tiny spring or pendulum?
Marvellous engineering.
wow - cheers mate
could attach these to milkovic 2-stage mech oscillator..
couldnt the magnets act as the weight for the flywheel
so that half the generator is already complete
I thought you were going to fill those holes with magnets and make a generator out of the flywheel. Neat mechanism.
it's a good idea mate
That is really cool (amazing)
So you kicked my inventive brain into gear , maybe connect a pendulum to it , I'm pretty sure that's the device I'm thinking of. But small efficiency to keep it moving.
Thankyou Robert
...If the ball bearings were magnets you would have both weight for the flywheel and the basics for a generator in one..?
TINKERING 101 ROBERT !!!!!
Great channel by the way.
cheers mate
Instead of ball bearing weights, you could use magnets as weights
yes you could
I thought you were going to put neodymium magnets in the flywheel and put coils on the other side to turn it into a generator.
Can modify the ratchet for the "toothbrush ratchet'
It's smooth like a helicopter gearbox ratchet
so beautiful! love it
Amazing, cool idea.
Откуда у вас столько энергии много и часто собирать что-то, погружаться в вопросы? 🙂
Looks good for harvesting wave energy...
It does!
Amazing how ingenious .
Beautiful invention!
Thank you! Cheers!
you can use this with a gravity battery
yes you could
Combined with a Stirling engine, magnets instead of ball bearings, serpentine coil. Hmmmm
Excellent!
Thank you! Cheers!
Brilliant !
cheers mate
How much stroke can you get with sound waves? I think you're going to need a finer ratchet to make it work with typical human levels of sound.
yes you do
Edison's best invention was Edison's
Shikoku, edison and overrun patents for opensource knowledge!#
for sure mte
Nikołaj tesla miał zapiski z poprzednich resetów , inaczej wcześniejszego ludobójstwa i tworzenia histori taka jaka pasuje tym co myślą że są bogami
Good work
Magnets for flywheel weight
spot on mate
Genius!
I look forward to seeing how this would work as a generator. Nice idea! I may consider something like this when I build my second generator. Thanks Robert👍👍
cheers mate
You have way too much fun. _111
Weee! I think comments help him get found.
Just put a big RED button on it and leave it in a public place, every one will push it becouse
It's a button, MUST NOT PUSH THE RED BUTTON
I CAN'T HELP MYSELF I HAVE TO PUSH IT
and thus we have "The Impolsive Power Mechine"

Ace!
Cool 😎 👍🏽
Really...The mens are fun with nothing,,, so cooooool ! :p
I suppose a spring return for the button is the next obvious step in evolution
neat ....
🤯🤯🤯🤯
:)

this is a funny and useful mechanism, yay
Put them up on busy roads to make power from sound .🤔💚✈️🚚🛻
