oh yes this is one reason why there was so many baby's in the 70's and 80's.
One of the best songs of 1976. Such an incredible R&B voice. Dorothy had several hits, but with a voice like that she should have been much bigger.
Beautiful song but 76 brought quite a few great songs by different artists
@@johnness2457 I said "one of".
@@jeffmorse645 sorry
I agree
100 percent agree
Heard it for the first time in 1976. Still playing it 07/11/2023 at 05:45 am
My mother use to play this every Sunday when we had to clean up the house and my father use to come out the bedroom and start to sing and dance with my mother R.I.P. MAMA AND POP'S
R.I.P. 😢
What a wonderful relationship your parents lived , God BLESS them
Same!🥰
This was huge in the 70's, love, love this song!
Dorothy Moore's Misty Blue gives me chills every time I hear that song today🎤
About the greatest memory of an old love song EVER! My humble but so astute opinion.
Could listen to her all day.
My late brother Dino Zimmerman played guitar for Dorthy Moore. She was a great artist.
"Misty Blue" was Dorothy Moore's biggest hit in 1976. She had some other ballad songs that became hits such as "Funny How Time Slips Away" & "I Believe You".
Funny how time slips away written by one Willie Nelson the standard is by Brotha Joe Hinton is version of the Willie Nelson song is the standard
I'm 73 and years ago Dorothy Moore was one of my favorite female singers, and Misty Blue is a great song!
Man the soul in this gives me chills!
Play that song in a room of Moms and Aunties ... immediate silence. We LOVE that song. *memories*
I was in high school when this song came out , such a song wow
Such a great song. We have all been in that Situation. She was such a great singer, and entertainer. Misty Blue, was one of my favorite songs
I BELIEVE YOU will always be my favorite Dorothy Moore song ❤
Another Classic Keep em coming, I am Love My Oldies. 😊🎶
The PASSION and FEELING she sings this with, especially when she sings tgat "Ooohhhh ohhhh ohhh" part just rips my heart out!
Now thats proper RnB
Misty Blue and Dorothy Moore still touch my heart deep down. Thank-You.
I´m from Mexico and I heard all songs from 1970 to 1994 and I have all these songs it was my dream download those songs and I did it. I heard those songs on KRIO and KRGV Mcallen Texas Misty Blue is one of my all time favorites. I love this section I never miss it thank to both of you for sharing your reaction to us I only have a question do you read the comments?
wow!!! a terrific spellbinding voice. Why haven't we heard more from her? Shawn and Mel, you all do a great job there.
I'm 72 - this was my first time hearing Dorothy Moore too. She's fabulous! The great female bluesy singers seem to hide in the shadows. Dorothy, Etta James, Nina Simone, Barbara Lynn, Barbara Lewis, etc.
I like the 6/8 beat on this song - it's such a famous rock motif. When did it disappear?
They weren't hiding, I remember this one and all the rest.
This was a hit 🎯.
Never went away been playing it since 76 I am 70
I was 16 yrs old when this song came out 🔥
No one on here has reacted to Barbara Lewis "Make Me Your Baby".
I really love her sound! I haven't heard this in decades...Used to make me cry! We've all been here, haven't we?
Yup
I'm 32
And i cry every time I listen to this song
Yes ma'am!!!😔❤
I'm glad y'all finally got around to this song. I think it's one of the best!
My brotha mind was blown lol...that's the good love
It's amazing song and sung amazingly
You better know it… loved this song from its beginning
A classic
Dorothy's voice is incredible. Sadly she never got the props she deserved. She should be up there with Aretha. This was a massive hit when I was a teenager and I can remember who I was dancing with when it first played at our local dance hall. Very sad but so romantic!!!
Yes!!! Glad you guys chose this song. I remember recording this on cassette from the radio. ❤❤❤❤this song.
This song always holds a special place in my heart ! There have been so many different versions of this song and are all beautiful. You guys should listen to this other versions by Monica &Mary jblige sang a duet and definitely listen to Etta James version
I could listen to her sing a thousand times over. WHAT. A. VOICE.
One of my favorites songs as a teen, not really knowing the meaning, just the sound of her voice!
Wow haven't heard this gem from the 70s for ages. Forgotten how beautiful it is. Gorgeous song and vocals!
I've been listening to this song for many many years, it's on a weekly playlist of mine with Etta James and a few other extremely talented female blues singers
There are some awesome male singers who covered it also. Such a great song. Over 60 artists have covered it
One of my favs of all time. D.M. killed this song. She is a great woman in real life. Great reaction. We love you guys also. 😎🇺🇲👍💯🌟
This was my grandma's favourite song😢. Such a beautiful piece of music. Thanks for this ❤
OMG, loved this song when it came out in 1976. I loved this so much I wore out the vinyl record album to white. You could relate to the words. ❤❤❤

Ah man, I forgot all about Dorothy Moore. I love this song. She has such a beautiful voice.
You have good taste.❤.Dorothy Moore has a smooth soulful voice.👌❤.XX
How on GOD'S GREEN EARTH could you have gone your whole life not hearing this incredible song
Man, I love this song. Even though it was released in 1976, it's really a throwback to the beautiful 12/8 soul ballads of the 1960's.
I was a kid when this song came out, and I couldn't really understand the sentiments she was expressing. But my uncle LOVED this song. Seeing his emotional reaction to the song made me love it-- and I do to this day, for more reasons than one!
WOW what a beautiful amazing voice
This has been my most favorite song of all time. Thank you for listening to Dorothy Moore. She's amazing. Don't rely on 'likes'. That's just one person's TH-cam page.
If she doesn’t hurt you heart, you don’t have one!
Shawn's reaction is exactly how we reacted when this song would come on. Everything stoped. All the boys were in love with Dorothy Moore!
You two live in the place in the heart that I do too. Great reaction.
Shawn & Mel my bro & sis
IS ONE OF THE BEST,BELLO,BELLO,MUY LINDO.
I was in Jr. high school when song came out, still LOVING it in 2022.
Loved this song the first time I heard it on the radio in 1976 and I love it to this day.

Her voice is gold and you can just feel the song in your soul.
She has a wonderful voice. I love the live clip where she is in that pretty blue dress.🤩
I had this record when it first came out
I like the Legendary voice tone of Dorothy More.
Its a 10
This is on an old late-70's compilation album I have, called 'Midnight love affair'.
I've been playing it regularly since the early-80's, & it's still the best album I own.........bar none!!
This takes me back to Chicago..1976..and the best slow dance I ever had. Lol
loving you two -- and I adore Miss Dorothy!!!
Dorothy Moore the Queen of Jackson Mississippi Soul, saw her perform this song in Tunica Mississippi back in the 90s

I love the WOW lady.....WOW!!!!!!
What an amazing song, pure beauty!!!!!
This is another of those songs that, just reading the title of your video, I could already hear her singing in my mind! It's so crazy good what music does to us.
Poderosa voz, de Dorothy,, 😊👍
I was once a restaurant manager in Jackson, Mississippi and Dorothy came in for lunch and I was mighty glad to comp her ticket. Pretty lady.
This song is so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. Also, a sad note, years ago when Twitch was on So You Think You Can Dance, he danced to this song. That dance was fantastic; I will watch it over and over. When I heard of his death, I cried all week. RIP Twitch you will always be a part of my heart.
Never ever , ever never... gets old.
One of the greatest voices ever!
a lot of people born in the late 80's and up, miss the whole point of true music, they want to be entertained with special effects, and stage acting, that they miss the music and words, 50's 60's & 70's brought in fans by the sounds of good music and their voices, no special effects on stage, just them and the band. we need that back, but until then, i;ll keep watching all who have a channel like this, so i can see it in your eyes and your movements, then i know it hit you, have a great day everyone.
Misty blue I would say is one of the most sexy songs and noone can ever sing it like her
I have always loved this song

Absolutely love this song...one thing i took after my daddy...him and I love our R&B/Soul❤
what a beautiful voice..
I love these old songs that I was lucky enough to grow up with
You should check out "Woman to Woman" by Shirley Brown, she is a person that is oft overlooked much like Dorothy Moore.
Also Elkie Brooks 👍
Mannn… that is an anthem in the black community, lol 😂 ‘Hello Barbara, this is Shirley.’ Several of us know that opening line, alone, all too well. 🤣🤣
I was thinking the same thing
Now you should try another great Soul singer; Linda Jones, singing “For your precious love” you will get the chills hearing her vocals! Sadly she past away at a very young age!
You better know what to suggest!!!! Yes! 😍🥰😍🥰
I went to a show one time when she was one of the acts. She song this song while they had a blue spotlight on her. Everyone in the building was rocking to this song. Much love. You need to check out Benny Lattimore singing Around the world.
Good times don’t come back …. I wish to dance with someone that is in heaven , very slow this jam ❤❤❤
Please please do some more Dorothy Moore
She has some more classics
I Love her
Wooooow, I wasn't ready. You took it there?!! She sangin, period.

She has a beautiful voice.
I have always loved this song. 💘 It takes me back to my Navy days, or actually immediately after my Navy days. You can feel every word she sings way down deep inside. 💘💘💘💘
My mom used to listen to this record all the time. Love this song.
