1) I like the idea of soldering extension wires as opposed to separating the two boards. Separating the two boards greatly increases the likelihood of creating more problems. If you do clip all of the pins and resolder, use flux. The flux makes it much easier, and the individual pins do not get joined with solder. 2) When removing the BCM, to get at the torx screw in the upper left, there is a plastic panel that just comes off. The trim panel above the OBD port. Put your fingers in the gap between the panel and the steering column, and gently pull. Comes out easy. (See Rob Grueling's video. th-cam.com/video/TRhxZkhsiSg/w-d-xo.html) 3) As to your soldering job, you definitely have cold solder joints that will break (eventually) when you hit a bump. Use a soldering iron with more power, and use flux. A 30 W soldering iron will struggle. A 100 W gun with the minimum amount of heat to flow the solder works much better. I think a 60 W variable soldering iron will work well. But I prefer the harbor freight soldering gun @ 100 W. 4) Double sided foam sticky tape will hold that new relay on its side. No rattling around.
@@abuzar1 Hey man I'm currently getting my BCM repaired. If the repair works will I need a reprogram or will the repaired BCM be fine with no warning lights?
Where did you buy the replacement relays at?
