So what is the meaning of the NPP MPS walking out of the Parliament????. Will they come to the Parliament when it opens??? . Will they accept to be minority in Parliament???? Why shouldn't they wait for the supreme court ruling on their favor before coming to Parliament.
Were they not the same people who said they are boycotting Parliamentary Sittings until the determination of their case before the Supreme Court on last Thursday?
The court has spoken. If the Speaker refuses to carry out the order of the SC, if Article 2 is triggered, it would be worse for the Speaker as per the Constitution.
i think some of the NDC mps should also go to court and request an interpretation of the standing orders which mandates the speaker to recall parliament within 7 days
Until the supreme court takes a decision on the petition before it, it will not be prudent to recall parliament. All outstanding business can be handed over to the next parliament.
Well the the speaker has sent a writ to the supreme court to set aside the order. The court has not ruled on it. Let's wait and see whether the court will respond to the speakers request
