"Ever Dream" (Official Live) Wacken 2013 is not as heavy, but heavy enough for me, I love that song, it's beautiful and powerful. Floor and Marko together on vocals. They complement each other amazingly! One of the best things in Nightwish! On GLS and Storytime no male vocals. Can't stress enough how important part of Nightwish Marko 's vocals are. He also has a big vocal role on those 3 heavier ones I mentioned.

This actually was the first Nightwish song I ever heard! My brother and I were alone in our church building, making plans to leave the state and our lives there behind. After hearing about thirty seconds of this video, I hooked my phone up to the sound system, started the song over, and cranked up the volume. Afterwards, my brother said, "This is the kind of music dreams are made of." I have no doubt we found it all the more inspiring because we knew we were headed to a better place and a better life. We've been in love with them ever since. Being introduced to them via Imaginerium was a real privilege. We got to hear some of their best music (IMO) performed by the best singer (Floor) by watching the live videos, and then we got to dive back into the Tarja and Annette eras knowing it would only get better.

Was there, Germany 2013. Drove 4 hours after work to get there barely in time and payed the ticket for the entire festival just for this gig. It was worth it. By far the best live performance I ever saw. Although every Nightwish gig has this energy...
There was 82,000 at Wacken 2013. I was there. It was an experience that ive never felt before. Ive seen Nightwish 4 times with Tarja, Anette and twice with Floor. Floor is the Queen. Floor is the Valykrie, Shes the Celtic Boudiccea. Can imagine her in a horsedrawn chariot leading the troops. She leads every performance commanding the stage. I never felt that with Tarja or Anette.
Yours is an Empty Hope at Wembley! Also yeah that's the kicker with this band, they can all do so many things, so much talent that there's a song out there for everyone

I've only ever heard Ghost Love Story (and obviously all the people reacting to it) and it's just so far elevated above everything else I've ever experienced that I guess I was afraid of watching more Nightwish and being disappointed? Nightwish Chicago Brigade checking in. Great reaction. You can see how much fun they had playing together and it shows in their music. Its not stretch of the imagination to say that Floor helped to heal the band and make them whole. Its wonderful to see people enjoy their music for the first time. I had heard about Nightwish as much as 15 years ago from some Euro friends, but for some stupid reason I never checked them out. With the Covid lockdown, I had all the time to see what I had missed, and boy, was I a damn fool for not listening to my English friends so long ago. They are like a great high, with no bad side effects!
When you're new to Nightwish and start watching the live videos, a strange thing happens: you find yourself saying "this is my favorite Nightwish song so far" five videos in a row. Wacken 2013 is really the live Nightwish touchstone. My suggestions for next video are both from Wacken, so feel free to ignore me, everybody does. One you can't miss is "Dark Chest Of Wonders", the concert opener. As you can imagine, with a show they were filming in front of an audience that large, they opened HARD. For something a little softer (chuckles to himself), "Ever Dream" is just stunning. It's even more of what you like so much about "Storytime". Live is definitely the way to go with Nightwish. That interaction between the band members and the band and the crowd brings in an extra element that is the reason their fans are legion.
"This is what I thought they were gonna be like!" You will never hear two similar songs from this band xD if you don't like one, just go to the next one down, and you'll say "wait is this even the same band" Clearly you want some heavier stuff, in that case you've got to do Romanticide

Terrific reaction! I think "Storytime" is probably the best Nightwish song for brand new listeners to experience as their first foray into the band. It showcases their collective skill and range of styles. "Ghost Love Score" seems to be the video a lot of reacters start with and, while awesome, it's not what one would call a "standard" NW song (if there is such a thing). It's considered one of their big three set pieces, along with "Poet and the Pendulum" and "Greatest Show on Earth". Anyway, I enjoyed your reaction. You may want to watch "Seven Days to the Wolves" at Wembley. I think you'd like it.

Nightwish Chicago Brigade checking in. Great reaction. You can see how much fun they had playing together and it shows in their music. Its not stretch of the imagination to say that Floor helped to heal the band and make them whole. Its wonderful to see people enjoy their music for the first time. I had heard about Nightwish as much as 15 years ago from some Euro friends, but for some stupid reason I never checked them out. With the Covid lockdown, I had all the time to see what I had missed, and boy, was I a damn fool for not listening to my English friends so long ago. They are like a great high, with no bad side effects!

When you're new to Nightwish and start watching the live videos, a strange thing happens: you find yourself saying "this is my favorite Nightwish song so far" five videos in a row.
Wacken 2013 is really the live Nightwish touchstone. My suggestions for next video are both from Wacken, so feel free to ignore me, everybody does. One you can't miss is "Dark Chest Of Wonders", the concert opener. As you can imagine, with a show they were filming in front of an audience that large, they opened HARD. For something a little softer (chuckles to himself), "Ever Dream" is just stunning. It's even more of what you like so much about "Storytime".
Live is definitely the way to go with Nightwish. That interaction between the band members and the band and the crowd brings in an extra element that is the reason their fans are legion.

You will never hear two similar songs from this band xD if you don't like one, just go to the next one down, and you'll say "wait is this even the same band"

Storytime is an awesome song. Great reaction. Song of Myself, Romanticide, and Ghost River from this show are killer as well. Yours is an empty hope (Floor growls) from Wembley, Weak Fantasy from Tampere, and Slaying the Dreamer from Buenos Aires also kick ass. The live shows which I mentioned were all turned into DVD’s and Live Albums. They all feature Floor and have the best audio and video quality.

Floor is Dutch and she is also called the Dutch Windmill and you have to listen to I wish i had a angel, ever dream, dark chest of wonders that's the opening of the show in Wacken. At Wacken there are 82000 people
You will have to watch "The greatest show on earth" live at Tampere. It's long, but it is my tour de force of Nightwish live- especially if you get the video with lyrics. The performance is a story telling you will likely love.
To Floor, perfection is OK only. My favorite song in this show. I love all the others, but this one has a special place in my heart.

"Ghost Love Score" is the chance to showcase the gee-wow of Floor's vocals for newbies, but not their most broadly appealing song.
If you liked the feel of this song, gotta do "Romaticide", if you haven't already. Also, "Everdream".
There is some thing in their set list to meet every ones expectation. There is the Wembley , Tampere and Rio? concerts. I appreciate their changes they make mid songs.

Terrific reaction! I think "Storytime" is probably the best Nightwish song for brand new listeners to experience as their first foray into the band. It showcases their collective skill and range of styles. "Ghost Love Score" seems to be the video a lot of reacters start with and, while awesome, it's not what one would call a "standard" NW song (if there is such a thing). It's considered one of their big three set pieces, along with "Poet and the Pendulum" and "Greatest Show on Earth". Anyway, I enjoyed your reaction. You may want to watch "Seven Days to the Wolves" at Wembley. I think you'd like it.

Doesn't matter which one you heard first. No same is the same. They can go soft. They can rock your head off. You can't put them into a box. Luke "Oh this is what I thought they'd be like". Nah dude.. Never know what you'll get.. but guaranteed you'll like everything. EVERY SINGLE SONG IS DIFFERENT AND HAS THAT NIGHTWISH MAGIC.
Whatever preconceived notion people have about Nightwish can be thrown out the fn window. There's no TYPICAL Nightwish. Thats the beauty.
