Always a pleasure seeing any of these clips. Now you’ve gathered them together. How cool! Such a beautiful relationship between the two, Federer/Nadal. It’s a heartwarming story to anyone who has witnessed. Makes them even greater, to my opinion. Best wishes to both.
We all feel such emotion when watching Rafa; on the court -- his determined focus and powerful effort to, as he said, "make his opponent a little uncomfortable" contrasted with his sweetness and humor off the court. There's a life lesson in Rafa's way of being.
Besides all his skills and natural physical abilities, what impresses me the most about Rafa is his mindset. Such a focused and competitive guy, but still funny and respectful to everyone. A truly exemplary sportsman.👍🏻
It’s amazing how quickly Nadal picked up English. He went from barely being able to communicate to easily be able to have long conversations in the language. Brilliant move because if Nadal never learned English his fanbase wouldn’t be quite as large as it is today. With that being said I badly miss the day where Nadal barely spoke English, said no at the end of every sentence (“is cold in London in November no? I am world world #1, no? To me Roger is the best of all time, no”). That clip of him and Federer where they’re trying to get Rafa to ask Roger “what are you getting me for Christmas” is by far the funniest, most iconic video between two of the greatest in any sport you will ever see. Every single second of Fed laughing hysterically and Rafa laughing because Roger’s laugh was so funny shows their personality and an early stage or their growing friendship. Remember, Federer didn’t really like Nadal when the Spaniard was coming up. I mean who would? First, he was a teenager that had his first win against Federer on a hard court. Then Fed found out very quickly how good Nadal was on clay and in the back of the head the stress of what Nadal was on clay weighed on Federer mentally. Obviously completing the career slam was a goal Roger would’ve completed as soon as ‘04 if not for clay not being his favorite surface. How big of a pest was Nadal to Federer? In 2006 Roger went 92-5 with 12 titles. 4 of his 5 losses were to Nadal. 2 in finals, 2 in semis, none of them in straight sets and 3 going the distance. The 5th loss was to some kid named Andy Murray in the 2nd round of Cincinnati (even that loss likely happened because Murray was a top 15-20 player who was a still a teenager so his ranking was low. Usually you expect to get a wild card or qualifier level player if you’re the top seed that early in a tournament). Federer entered 17 tournaments in 2006. He made the final of 16 of them again winning 12 and losing 4, all of them to Nadal and 3 on clay. Roger did exact some revenge against Nadal towards the middle and end of the 2006 season. Roger outlasted the Spanish legend in 4 in the Wimbledon final then put the cherry on type of his magical season by winning the Tennis Masters Cup and beating Nadal in the semis en route to lifting his final trophy of ‘06. The fact that these two built such a great relationship after how intense their rivalry shows what kind of people they are off the court. Just legends who are also good people and don’t wear a facade.
this great video made me feel better about the horrible world we live in, if only for a little while. bravo to Nadal for some good laughs. My favorite was his response to whether he was happy Novak exists.
I'm gonna miss Rafa like the air! When I met him in Mexico he was such a genuine and fun person. I don't want to cry again, but it is so difficult... at least there are funny moments here :)
He was dumbfounded because it's dumb to ask professional athletes to do something about such a giant, complex issue like climate change. Especially considering how screwed we are with idiots like these other commenters acting like it's a big hoax. Which makes absolutely no fkin sense. There's no motivation for it to be a hoax lol.
I remember watching him in 2005 Miami final and he could barely speak a lick of English fast forward 19 years later it's amazing how far he's come learning another language after you've become an adult is tough.
3:58 I think he answered perfectly to those terrible questions: "How do you feel for not having any children" and "which player do you like the most". Really? And in front of a whole crowd?
Talk about questioning a total non authority on topics he knows stuff all about. Why would anybody be educated on climate change based on what professional tennis player is asked for his opinion. The idiot box aka the television has created this ‘celeb worship’…anything that is endorsed by folk who act in movies and other folk that can sing. If they endorse the climate changes am / hoax, then it must be true. My first thoughts are ‘ who gives a rats toss bag about his opinion on non tennis or fitness topics
The lady reporter congratulating Rafa for a "win" when he actually lost. Rafa being all serious (and probably confused with her statement) was pure gold of humor. Just funny as hell without trying. OMG! lol
Just love watching Roger and Rafa relationship. Both genuine people.
Tennis was so much better with Rafa ❤ win or lose it’s his energy
Rafa is a joy on and off the court 🙌🏼
yeah but him and djokivic made the French unwatchable for 15 years. every match was 5-6 hours.
🥰🥰😍😍
The comment about Novak is the best - "I like a challenge, but I'm not stupid" 😂
Haha that was great indeed Steffy!
Roger and Rafa are actually the best duo in existence
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Nope
🇨🇦 from Canada
Only Rafa could pull off that speech with humour while in agony with cramping.
His accent makes everything so humorous💖🥰♥️
This is so good. Thanks for making. He’s so naturally funny 😂😂😂
Glad you liked it haha Rafa is great

A lot Michael!
Just love that guy, funniest Rafa 😂, 👑 of smile and heart 💖

Reporter: "Congratulations on your win today, how do you feel?"
Nadal: "I lost, by the way"
Reporter: "Yeah, but it's a win anyway"
Wtf is that logic?
Haha that was insane
When you don't want to admit you were wrong 😂
It was Laver Cup, so though Rafa lost his match, Team Europe won.
@@michelez715 It's not Laver Cup, it was Miami. Look at the wallpaper behind him.

That s also my favorite one😂. I sometimes repeat this sentence, but i can t say it as rapidly as rafa
Ombelibaley hilarious 😂
😂😂
Enjoyed this video.
Thank you! 🙌🏼
the last part of the video it's the best when the two GOATs hug each other
The reporter getting the "i lost by the way" has no clue on how to talk to someone who has just lost a tennis match.
That was tough 😂
"Almost one less rival". LOL, poor Felix.
Hahah too good
The question on climate change and global warming...
haha rafa is a smart man he knows its a hoax
@Cantweall I know lol. He’s like what the fuck is this stupid question??? The lemmings in media are just dumb and disconnected from reality.

Especially considering how screwed we are with idiots like these other commenters acting like it's a big hoax. Which makes absolutely no fkin sense. There's no motivation for it to be a hoax lol.
@cantwealljustgetalong2 that's quite presumptuous, he probably just doesn't have a lot of experience on the subject matter
It was meant because of the high pollution input that tennis puts (rubber for balls, tennis rackets, flights etc.).
I remember watching him in 2005 Miami final and he could barely speak a lick of English fast forward 19 years later it's amazing how far he's come learning another language after you've become an adult is tough.
Guy is great
Thank G-d we got to watch Roger and Rafa play tennis.
**blinks** **looks at translator** "...I'm a tennis player" 😂😂

The climate change question / response was hilarious!
yeah rafa is too smart to be baited by a question about a hoax lol
7:18 😂
Poor Felix haha
Was Gulbis the male Penko 😂😂😂
Lolol
How fitting is it that they're both from Latvia?
Federer may be the greatest of all time, but by far Nadal is the greatest sportsman of all time
they have the best friendship/rivalry in tennis history i remember both crying at federer Retreat Ceremony
Djokovic 24 GS>Nadal 22 GS>Federer 20 GS

Rafa should have fun more, retire from tennis and relax. His career is legendary. 🐂🇪🇸🔥🔥🔥

The greatest 👌 superstar ever apart from michael jackson for excitement 🎉😢
who was the guy at 8:23 ?
His name is Ernests Gulbis
Nadal's view on climate change lmao
