I have a 2008 Raptor700r with a power commander 5, Yoshimura RS-2 full exhaust and and K&N Intake and she’s stout! Absolute machine for hill climbing and roll racing in the dunes!
Impressive. Gotta give kudos to Yamaha for still producing sport quads like this. Tired of hearing about the 1000 Polaris and Can-Ams. It's be interesting to see how it stacks up against your piped Banshee.
My car can do 79, but it's not a sports car. The key is how fast does it take to get to 79MPH. I had a 660R raptor with a race pipe and bigger jets. I sold it and got a Banshee, and the Banshee was faster overall. Rev the engine, dump the clutch in 3rd gear and full throttle all the way to 6 gear. Overall, I was way happier with the Banshee.
Rode one several years ago with an FMF pipe and other minor mods, loved the sound and short shifting it allowed you to do. Rev to 2 k rpm and upshift !
pretty sure the Raptor 700's are artificially limited to 80 mph from the factory, there is a free popular mod you can do by cutting a wire to let 5th gear wind out all the way. not sure if it applies to all year raptors but i know there is a lot of info out there on the forums about it.
It will smoke a banshee stock for stock I have both bikes and you must be riding an extremely tall one that are not too heavy unless your comparing it to a 450
No it won’t smoke it won’t even come close I own them both a stock banshee will not even come close to a raptor even a 660 I hate when somebody has something and because they prefer it it is in ever way better then everybody’s stuff banshees are awesome I love mine more then my raptor without a doubt but I don’t lie about it
