It's cool from a nostalgia pov, but most of the time it's going to be combined. This doesn't make any improvement on the actual figure and it could use improving. Idk, I'm hoping MT does a magnus version of their thunder figures. Same functionality as this with a much better payoff combined.
The original Combiner wars figure could indeed use some help. As for the standalone figure aspect, it just gives us some extra play. Similar to how the MT Thunder Manus cab transforming gives us extra play. I do hope to eventually get an MT Thunder I want to see how tall he actually is.
I definitely intend to get that Ultra Magnus figure eventually, and the transforming cab I will of course have to get with it. It just really Burns me up it just really burned me up that they didn't bother to design the original toy with a transforming cab to begin with.

It could have used more editing. • If you want a faithful G1, then just get MP22. • I love the IDW faithful design of this CW figure and recomend people work on painting their figure, which has a ton of molded detail to take advantage of. I am not "good" at painting, but simply following the lines makes a world of difference.
Paul Gaither I wasn't really going for a straight g1 look more of an updated feel. But honestly I just couldn't stand that cab. Been trying to get a mp22 but unfortunately cost is an issue.
Transformers Obsession - I totally respect that. This 3rd party figure looks cool, though I am not a fan of the false front that hides in the back of truck mode. I actually like the new truck mode, as it is not the 80's anymore and truck design has changed a lot since then.
I really thought you would break the figure into pieces when transforming it. Take your time, no one is rushing. Also, it would help to practice transforming the figures off camera a couple of times before you film it so that it would look more smoothly in the final run. But thank you for the review anyway.
Geno Burgess nothing like the originals. The red bumper on this figure is one of the main things that bother me on it because the g1 toy was not like that

I agree, in hasbro's rush to do everything IDW style they ignored all the fans that kept transformers alive throughout the years

This has been said about this video a few times. For some reason this figure was not working with me while I was recording.
I love this piece, but I think they screwed us out of an Ultra Magnus weapon, just like with the Prime they could've provided the appropriate weapons.
I agree on that. Even on the black version Ithey could have made it more appropriate for the figure it represented
