I Changed A Few Key Parts On My Aventon Ramblas

- The first full review I did on this bike I rode the bike completely stock. For singletrack some of the parts were not very good at doing their job so I swapped out a few key parts to hopefully make this bike more off-road worthy.
Hunt Trail Wide 29 inch wheels.

Nice mods, dig that rear conti, I'm an old guy and I would like to get rid of that pop up seat thing and put my suspension seat post on, with that cable mechanism and all would it be a big hassle? Thanks from CO!
You basically would have to disconnect the dropper cable from the shifter lever. Then when you undo the seat post you should be able to pull out the inner wire. Once that comes out, you will need to pull the outer housing out of the frame. Once that is all done, the new post should just mount like usual.
Can you put links up for the wheels and tires
I put a link to the the wheels up.
Which Continentals? That is some grip. I think if you adjust the modes it cancels their intent? Like if you bump the eco settings, you just end up making it Trail mode?
I mean, you could make them all Turbo if you wanted. But it's cool they give you the option. Maybe someone wants eco to be more or less power than it is while still keeping it below Trail. I will likely tone Eco down and then have Trail be just above where Eco is. That would fit me better since Eco seems too easy for me and I rarely feel the need to use Trail.
You can't swap at wheels sets to commute unless you keep swapping the magnet?
@@richardwebb3013 Good point. I will need to find a second magnet if I go that route. But in all honesty, after I do some more off-road reviews on this bike (if the rain ever stops) I am likely to keep it in commuter form and only use it for that.
I don't see myself using an eBike regularly for mountain biking.
Do you realign the brake rotors/calipers each time you switch out wheels?
The wheels should all have the same spacing and tolerances. The key word here is "should".
So I won't know until I set up the other wheels and swap them. But generally everything should be pretty close. It's good to check both brakes, derailleur limit screws, and shift adjustment every time you change out wheels.
When I change out my BERD spoke wheels with I9 Hydra hubs for my DT Swiss wheels on my Canyon Spectral I don't have to readjust anything.
Seems like some key upgrades, especially the wheels. What is the cost?
@@thomashenkler4969 The wheels as a set were on sale for just under $400. The rear tire was around $80 and I already had the fork laying around.
