    Could fry some minced garlic in the sesame oil. Minced garlic cooks very fast and the crispy garlic sprinkled on the fish brings flavour and texture to the next level.

    Also.curious as to why the water must be boiling before we place e fish for steaming?

    • @spicenpans
      @spicenpans  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Est Kitty. Thanks so much for watching our videos 🙏🙏🤓🤓 steaming needs the water to be boiling so that the steam can cook the food. If you put in earlier when there’s not enough steam yet, the texture of the ingredients won’t be as nice. I can’t explain why but the dish will taste better when you only add the fish when the water is boiling. This applies to all dishes that require steaming. It’s a little tip we learnt from experience which was why we thought it’s important to share in the video. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!

      Hi Ezbuzz. Thank you so so much for using our recipe 🙏🙏🙏 To prevent water from the cover from dripping into your dish, you can keep the cover slightly ajar so that the water 💧 will glide down instead of going straight to your dish. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!
