    Dear Smart Sheep...thank you for taking the time to make the video in English for us. I'm a pretty experienced knitter and can appreciate the time and effort that goes into designing your own knits. This is a truly beautiful scarf and is going on my list! Thank you for sharing it for free and best wishes to you on future videos in English🙂

    Dear Smart Sheep, it would be a shame just to delete it. Please do another video with this scarf pattern in it but this time make sure that you have all the time you need to do it. This is a beautiful pattern and certainly one that I would love to have a go at. So please take your time and do this video over again. Only when this new video is done must you take this old one down. Love from June. xxxx

    Good morning, I have bought multi-coloured wool and so much want to knit a cable scarf. The first try did not work out as I planned, and I knew I had to incorporate other stiches and voila, you presented this beautiful pattern as I want. I do not think this is co-incidental! Thank you for sharing, you are such a blessing to me and I am sure to many others. This design will compliment the multi-coloured wool perfectly. Seeing we spend so much time in creating we might as well do the effort and make the best we can. Kind regards. I will let you know how it turned out.

    once the main cable part has been repeated to the desired length I got a bit confused... do you then go back to knit 1 pearl 1 for 10 rowans and then cast off.
    thanks

    • @SmartSheep
      @SmartSheep  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Amy White After knititng the last cable of the main cable part you will have to repeat row 1 and row 2 for 5 times = 10 rows . Then you go back to knit the ribbing ( knit 1 , purl1 ) for 10 rows and cast off

    Thank you so much for taking the time to share your beautiful scarf pattern. Any issues I had were the result of my inexperience and went away after watching video several times. I do have a question regarding finishing. When you’ve reached desired length and start the base. Do you reverse the order of R1 and R2 or maybe it doesn’t matter? Thank you and Happy New Year.

    • @SmartSheep
      @SmartSheep  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Carol McKenzie After finishing the main cable part you will start the first row of the second base which was when i said 10 more normal rows on the right side of the scarf and you wont have to reverse R1 and R2. Hope that helped and happy new year to you too

    First, I'm new to knitting. So I hope this isn't a dumb question.
    With regard to your RT (right twist), I see what you are doing, but it's not matching what most of the other right twist tutorial videos are describing. They are saying to knit BOTH of the stitches, then the first stitch, then pull both stitches off the left needle. I see you knit the 2nd stitch, then knit the first stitch, then pull off. Is your RT a variation? Again, I'm just trying to learn. Thanks.
    P.S. I love the design!

    • @SmartSheep
      @SmartSheep  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi . You're right my RT is a variation . I knitted my "RT " before trying to find an english name for it on internet . I knew it was not how they made the real RT but at least it looked similar and since i couldn't find a name for my "RT" i decided to take that name . That's why i didnt make a written pattern for this scarf and just made it as an video . I'm very sorry for that but i don't think it's a big deal . You can do my "RT" or the real RT it doesn't matter it will look all similar

  • @mariemcgee2026

    you said repeat row 1and 2 for 4 times not (5 times) which is right to make ten row but when you were talking you said 5 more rows which will make 12 rows instead I suppose you made a mistake just to let you know I do 4 rows .anyway I love this pattern it's so easy. thanks

    • @SmartSheep
      @SmartSheep  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Marie McGee Thanh you for pointing that out . I made a mistake when i recorded my voice along the video but when i added text to it i realised that so that's why i wrote " 4 times ( not 5 times ) " . This is the first time i've made a tutorial video in english so i was kind of messed up .

    I am sorry to do this but I am going to have to correct you. It is not Cable 4 Back that you are doing, it is Cable 8 Back instead. If you were to do Cable 4 Back you would put 2 stitches onto the cable needle and place the cable needle to the back and then knit 2 stitches from the left hand knitting needle and go back to the cable needle and knit the 2 stitches from the cable needle. If you are going to do a video like this you must be accurate. The written instructions must also be just as accurate. This video needs to be done again and you need to think very carefully about what you are doing. The scarf is beautiful, but, in order for others to knit it accurately, accurate instructions must be given. If your cable is a cable 8 back then please say so!

      Smart Sheep your doing a great job I love your tutorials your English is amazing it's that one word I am very sorry if I have offended you...
      needle sound like how you say it I just wanted you to learn how people say it...
      chocolate is written but when you pronounce it it becomes Cholat.. I know people say it very fast you must have picked it up differently...you can talk however you want as long as you know the right way to fall back on..
      I hear lots of people say acrossed instead of saying knit across..

    This is a horrible tutorial - I can’t understand it and the camera is not still - and I don’t understand the abbreviations RT
