This is very true. I consulted with Casey a few weeks ago and changed all my listings to include the condition description. And my sales are up about three hundred percent! Thanks rock star flipper!

This is the exact reason I use desktop to finish my listings. I'll use the phone to upload the pictures, but finish on desktop. I wish the app had that box.

100000% correct Casey, I stopped using the description box and instead put a pre-filled small paragraph about my store instead and add a couple of measurements in the condition box instead. I have been selling apparel on eBay for 25 years and my shoppers almost NEVER read/see the description box, they constantly were asking for measurements even though I was adding them. Wishing everyone a wonderful autumn selling season.
I wish eBay would update their app to be useful for sellers, and in some cases buyers. It is a real watered down experience.
I agree and thanks for posting this. When I search STRs on my phone while sourcing in the store my app does not show sold totals. Frustrating for me.

Ebay has plenty of time to mess around with stupid things...I mean, like changing names or adding this, and taking away that. Etc, etc, etc.

I noticed this a long time ago. I cant believe sellers leave that blank/aren't aware of how beneficial it is. I also noticed on mobile, buyer's can't even see the box so I always copy and paste my condition text into my description. That way my ass is covered in case a mobile buyer claims I didn't describe the item. Idk why Ebay's mobile app is soooo bad.

I only use my desktop when I want to list. Listing with my phone would be insane. I can't see all those tiny letters.
And, yes, I use the condition box on every listing, and I pour in lots and lots of details.

I do this (fill in condition box) on my iPad but I don’t use the eBay app. I keep a tab for eBay open in a browser on my iPad and almost everything works the same as on my desktop.
I can't imagine why one wouldn't fill in the condition box. Isn't the whole point to let the buyer know what they are getting? How about a video about sellers shooting themselves in the foot with AI generated descriptions.
I always use desktop for my listings but I have never seen this “extra” condition box option. Do you have to have a store to see this??? I am a small seller and don’t feel a store is worth the costs personally. Maybe do a video discussing how many items make having a store viable? Thanks for all you do for us! 0:36
Nope no store needed. I have made the video many times about ebay store and costs etc.
250 free listings you get without a store, With that said a store lets you do markdown sales, customizing etc. so its worth it business wise after probably 200 listings, Monetarily only a starter store is $5 s month. listings cost you $.35 without a store. So if you go over 250 its about 15 listings at $.35 each and youll spend the $5 thus 264 listings is cheaper with a store starter level than no store. and basic is like $23 a month and $.30 each after starter level 250 so that would be about 77 listings or 327 where it makes financial sense to get a basic store.

I don't have a store either; I'm in my account on desktop to revise my listings, and I've looked everywhere. I don't have this "extra" condition box option in my account.

I list on my iPad, but don’t use the eBay app. I go through my web browser and have the condition box available there.
I always fill this out and put what is there in the description too but cant say it helps my few sales!

Green screen, and then post production editing on final cut pro to drop myself and remove the green screen

I always fill it in when I can but you cannot fill anything in if your item is listed as NEW. 😞
Will it work on the website, not App from mobile?? I have in my phones setting to not take me to ebay default app so I can use ebay in browser mode.
Even when filled out, it does not show on mobile.

I don't use my phone or a tablet and that box isn't available on the laptop either.
@RockstarFlipper .. That Condition Description box does not appear on Brand New condition item listings, it only appears on Like New, Very Good, Good, and Acceptable conditions. I always list on computer & always fill out the Condition Description box, I can't say if it helps sales, or not.

I create drafts/pics on phone and finalize on desktop mainly so I can fill in condition box. Also is critical for "as is parts only" listings

Picture editor is not very good really only time I use the app is to send offers Take Offers send messages. maybe when I looking up something Sell one like this just maybe I'm old and I have a bigger screen to work off.

Answer this one. Why does Ebay charge for the item and adds the shipping costs to the finale fees. Then I have to turn around and pay the shipping when I mail it.
Because you GET PAID for the label. Your item is $20.....the shipping is $7. You get PAID $27. you are handed the 27 bucks. Then you have to buy the label. It's pretty basic
What happens when you are cross listening and this box is not on the cross listening app.

If I revise a bunch of these, will it subtract from my free listing I get every month? I'm just thinking I don't want to get a big Ebay charge if I go over my monthly listing amount.
Revising listings does not subtract from listing credits

@@MelissaLamancusa nope no store needed. You’re not looking in the right spot OR it’s hidden and you need to click see more or a drop down arrow
