Gerald Wilkins was being called “The Jordan Stopper” due to his defensive prowess throughout the season and Jordan absolutely COOKED him, every single game. As far as the center not jumping, when you have the nickname “Air”, and have at this point, dunked on EVERY great center in the league, people start to become scared to jump. That’s what comes with not settling for bad shots and not passing to partially open scrubs in clutch moments. People not jumping when you jump is a sign of how feared you are. And MJ had the league TERRIFIED.
PS. Not comparing the 2 but you might have noticed when Ja Morant explodes to the basket, no one jumps any more either… they try to draw a charge. That’s EXACTLY what happens here.

Hell Jordan would've dogged Lebron even during the "flu game" when MJ dropped another 55 or 65...and he did that regularly bro. Lebron wouldn't even have showed up much less played, and he def would never be able to scord like MJ and never will. not to mention, you clearly don't realize that Jordan played in the era wherein refs actually let em play...it was truly a physical game. Today's game is nothing but soft players crying about touch fouls. What your missing here is Jordan's incredible speed and athleticism. Defenders reaction time couldn't keep up. His best moves are not on highlight reels like him dunking on missed free throws many times. Him and Pippens alley oops on an inbound pass over the rim for a dunk, never seen anyone else do it, and they did it alot. Jordan, after getting fouled would walk away from the rim and throw the ball over his head and make it regularly, he would shoot free throws with his eyes shut, numerous times.
