Most "bigger rear kitchens" typically have generally poor access to the actual kitchen area for travel stops. They also tend to be known for really bad TV viewing angles.
This design fixes those issues fantastically!
With both excellent travel access and function as well as a direct viewing TV setup straight across form a sofa this is an interesting tweak on a classic design I caught myself liking more than expected!

I love the fact that the counters are completely smooth all the way around instead of being multiple heights.

Replace the foil wrapped counter top with solid top, don't know why they're still used , one hot item put on top will melt it resulting in major water leakage if water gets on the melted part, give the option of having a stackable washer dryer in the pantry area for long term campers and a bigger stove instead of that pizza oven and a fireplace beside the sofa. Other than that it's a beauty.
Did you have a hot pad under whatever was hot? That's a good practice regardless of counter top type
Agreed. Foil wrapped counter tops shouldn't even be a thing in the first place. Regardless if everything else is right. It definitely stops me from purchasing a camper, since it's only a short matter of time until it fails.
I need this kitchen and bed in a 1/2 ton towable. A Girl can dream!

With so many manufacturers going with the cheaper 12V fridges you would think that they would give customers at least 200 watts of “standard” solar, because no solar makes these models totally incapable of camping off grid😢
The industry is pretending it's an "upgrade." Apparently, running for weeks on a couple of bucks of propane and no need for $1000 lithium batteries or extensive solar is too "old school." Frankly, I've been amazed at the efficiency of ammonia cycle fridges for years. It seems like magic how one candle-sized flame keeps fridge and freezer cold. Putting a $99 walmart dorm fridge in its place is a downgrade.

💛👍🏼 Sweet layout! Weight, cargo capacity, storage, kitchen trash can, windows, everything is great! A bit longer than I’d like but workable. I kinda wish they would have enlarged the cover (assuming a sewer/electric) on the kitchen cabinet so it has some function, a corner spice rack, something. 😊
Why oh why would you put an electric plug BELOW a sink where water WILL roll out and over it? Not good. Other wise love the lay out all of the kitchen counter space, windows over the kitchen sink, large shower but the step out is pretty significant. Plenty of storage! Travel access is awesome.
Wow, this thing is crazy awesome! I absolutely LOVE that rear kitchen set up! Its too expensive for me, and with 1000lbs of trinkets and supplies I'd be at the top of my tow capacity, but its awesome nonetheless!
About the only thing I'd specifically look at is the angle of the front tank drain, it looked fairly level instead of having a down angle to it.

Your pop up electrical much better than an outlet in front of the sink?? What are they doing??
That is a bad choice of location in a kitchen. I had a Winnebago with an outlet just under the vanity sink which was handy for using a hairdryer but I cannot think of a single appliance I’d like a cord running in front of me while using the sink.

I think this has a an amazing kitchen, LOVE that back window.
I kinda wish that they kept the traditional movable recliners in front of a giant window that many kitchen floor plans have....with the TV and a fireplace on the wall between the living and bathroom.
All in all, I really like this rig.
Thankfully plenty of those traditional chair-style rear kitchens are out there. I like seeing something a little different now and again

This is My new floor plan. Love the huge kitchen. Love these huge kitchen windows. Love all of the cabinets. Like the stove. Like the living room. The bathroom room is great. Love the Rv king bed. Like the storage in the bedroom. Over this is a great Rv. Thank you josh!

I'm impressed by the kitchen. There is real counter space. You only lose drawer space if you have to park overnight you lose nothing. I like the sofa. It takes nothing to have a storage ottoman.
I think a sofa + ottoman is actually a highly underrated combo
I am a fan of the dinette booth. It gives people a chance to sit & talk with each other. But, they could have stetched this one out just a little bit, to the end of the kitchen counter. 😁

Love this layout along with the storage. King bed is great. Very impressive travel access as well. I would prefer a free floating table in the dinette.

I like the floorplan and love the rack & pinion slide which is a big plus. The 50amp and second air option is great and the sofa for sure. I wish the shower had a Nautilus style door. Adding struts, not a big problem. All in all, I like it.

I've recently been looking at this one, and waiting for your review. This pretty much nails exactly what we're looking for, but your comment about usage due to no TPMS and cheap tires have me concerned. Thanks for your review and honest opinions.
That’s kind of the cool thing about an mpg. They’re thousands less than many laminated rvs
So if you spend a few hundred on tires and tpms, then you come out ahead

Love the floorplan and road mode access. Not a fan of the gappage (ceiling trim) or the shower without a dedicated shower door. That curtain just screams trouble.

I have to agree a power tower in the kitchen in the drivers coner would nice. I really don't understand the placement of the outlet in front of the sink. Great travel access!
Yeah I think that outlet could've been potentially executed a little better but maybe there's something under the skin around there of which I'm unaware
Travel access is top shelf. Windows are nice. Skinnier pantry would allow a larger sofa? Bathroom door is a win. Large solar and battery package needed for off grid 12 vdc fridge?

I prefer a queen bed, but it's nice that it slides. It would really be cool if they offered adjustable beds. With so many people I know who have to sleep in a recliner, that would really solve that problem.
Wildwood is doing a little bit of those adjustable beds now
I wasn't blown away by this one. Love, love the rear kitchen layout. But the rest is just 'meh' for me. I suppose the best factor in this model is the lack of use of plaid. LoL.

Simple battery disconnects eliminate batt. drain. Turn hand screw type.
This already has a juiced up version of that built in called "The vault" on the front
All batteries still have a passive dispersion rate though so having a solar trickle tender can still be handy
To the comment that Josh often gets; something along the lines of: ”Give me this floorplan but in a shorter trailer and with no slide" -- what you are asking for is a Tardis, something bigger on the inside than it is on the outside.
...and I think "Tardis" would be an awesome trailer brand name. Here is how the naming should work: Tardis 33x14-22x8 would mean you have interior living space that is 33 feet long by 14 feet wide (slides) in a trailer that is 22 feet long and 8 feet wide on the outside with no slides.
I offer this brand consultation for free to manufacturers, but would ask for a steep discount from the first company who actually makes one. 😂
I really appreciate this Bill and it's almost a relief someone else has recognized it. I'll show a 34ft RV with triple slides and all the trimmings. Someone says "Give me this in 28ft."

This floorplan has the potential to be awesome👍but no residential table and chairs or sofa “option” for the outdated diner booth dinette, the cheap plastic toilet, the shower curtain that will drip water all over the floor and Dollar Store 4” fart fan is pretty disappointing🫤
I agree, no dinette for me, love the trashcan drawer! Not a fan of open pantry space, no roof vent fan in the kitchen? Another thing I'd have to switch! Ahh theater seat please! If I'm a couple why do I need another sleeping space? Someone wants to come along? Bring a tent and a sleeping bag thank you. Don't like a shower curtain how about the plastic accordian door? Why no porcelain toilet? Ugh king only? I could like a double myself a queen for 2 of us. That bed sliding outta the way is pretty kool. No struts on the overhead cabnits? Otherwise it's not that bad. I do love rear kitchens.
@@crazycritterlady8788 totally agree👍part of the awesomeness of a “couple’s” camper is having comfortable theater seating for our old aching bones and the benefit of no sleeping space for unwanted guests other than our children and/or grandchildren who like me used to and sometimes still do love to sleep outside in a tent or on the floor on an inflatable mattress😂😂😂
And if need be someone could always sleep in the theater seat/s, I do most of the time at home anyway. Can't seem to get thru a whole movie without nodding off. Am I the only one? And how about heat and massage in the recliners? I know my old bones would love those features especially in the 3 cooler seasons.
@@crazycritterlady8788 Lol! I more times than not sleep half the night in my theater seating before waking up to pee and going to bed, and I camp off grid more times than not so my heat and massage settings are normally not to blame😂
At least you have heat and massage my recliner doesn't I have to use a heating blanket and manually rock it lol

I like my kitchen and slide storage to be in the middle of the RV because I tend to add more weight there. I’m not sure I want to put all that weight on the caboose.
Totally reasonable and fair. I love RK models for more destination/seasonal use while I prefer RL setups for more frequent towing

3) You might want to clarify for the class the solar prep and solar ready on this video (16:30’ish) you started to tell the difference but you messed up in the video. Which is it?
4) What does MPG stand for on this camper? What manufacturer makes it? FR? GD? Someone else?
5) I think that I could live with those imperfections if the price was right although I’d rather seem them corrected in the manufacturing process.

3.) whoops! This one is "ready" meaning it's totally plug and play meaning it already is fully wired with charge controller installed. Just plug in panels. "Prepped" usually means "there's a plug on the roof and you pretty much do the rest"
4.) MPG is a recycled name. Heartland's first MPG models were basically R-Pod clones. Forest River actually sued heartland over it and a cease and desist was issued. So the MPG name was later re-used by Cruiser RV - a heartland subsidiary.
5.) Agree I'd rather see stuff "right" from the factory

The bed can slide left or right to give you room to get dressed as needed. There are pin locks to hold it in place
Those handles on the drawers etc are horrible. The older you get the harder they are to grip to open. Knobs or handles that you can put your fingers thru and PULL are much easier for everyone.
